Although this was not a representative entry, I was very disappointed in this variety. I thought the construction overall was far worse than the last time I judged, shoulder angulation or lack of it, & shortness in ribbing were very prominent faults & completely spoil the true movement & outline of this pretty variety.

MPD (1) 1 Shutt’s Donnadoon Sunset, very raw puppy with a lovely head, dark almond shaped eyes, good neck & shoulder placement. Needs more angulation in his quarters. Sound mover. PD &JD (0). PGD (3) 1 Bell’s Tolberg Super Ted, b/t boy who is big enough. Fair head, decent forechest. Would prefer better shoulders. Good bone & feet, moved out soundly. Won with ease; 2 Latham-Jackson’s Criscan Leonel of Urishay; 3 Cooper’s Jumanda’s Renaissance. LD (5,1a) 1 Brown’s Garbosa Raising Cain, fair head shape, eyes a little full. Good neck. Would prefer more length to upper arm. Good bone & feet, well balanced hindquarters, moved soundly. RCC; 2 Kennedy’s Denkena Loganberry, young dog I have judged before. Good head & eye, good forechest, balanced angulation. Thought he could cover more ground on the move; 3 Oxley’s Dinkidax Justin Credible.OD (2) 1 Hallsworth’s Ch Abydachs Aniseed, very well presented young dog who won the CC today with ease. Lovely head, dark eye of correct shape, good neck & shoulder, ribbing OK, good quarters. Moved with correct extension fore & aft. CC & BOB. VD (0).

MPB (0). PB (2) 1 Metcalfe’s Metadale Lorelei, very promising puppy of good proportions. Nice head & eye, good neck, correctly angulated shoulder, fair ribbing, good bone & feet, well angulated quarters. Moved really well keeping her outline. BP; 2 Brooks’ Lyndarlea Little Pearl, another nicely constructed puppy. Would just have preferred a little more length & fill to her foreface. Decent lay of shoulder, little short in rib, strong quarters. Good length of stride & sound on the move. JB (2,1) 1 Edwards’ Barok Honey Bea, very pretty youngster who was just a little unsettled today in this noisy venue. Taller type with lovely head & eye, good layback of shoulder, good forechest & ribbing, balanced in angulation, moved correctly. PGB (4) 1 Latham-Jackson’s Urishay Sweet Pea, very elegant b/t with an excellent head, correct dark almond eye, very good shoulder angulation, good forechest, fair ribbing, good hind angulation. Tail set a bit high. Needs to settle on the move; 2 McGavigan & Pettigrew’s Walpines Peel to Pettigans, another nice bitch with good construction. Just lost out to 1 on her less refined head & fuller eye; 3 Priestley’s Hillstar Honeylicious. LB (7,1) 1 Edwards’ Barok Blonde Bombshell, shaded/cr bitch with nicely balanced head, a little round in eye, good bone & ribbing, well angulated shoulder, good balance to rear, very nice outline on the move; 2 Brooks’ Hanishan Eezzy Magic Nite at Lyndarlea, nicely constructed shaded/r bitch with very good angulation & movement. Just lost out to 1 her on her smaller head; 3 Kennedy’s Denkena’s Miss Booty Licious. OB (9,1) 1 Rowell’s Tolberg Tia Drop at Emmajesk, fair head & eye, excellent bone & feet, good layback of shoulder, ribbing carried well back, good length of first & second thigh to hock, kept nice outline on the move & absolutely sound. CC; 2 Shutt’s Longort Cassie Royale of Donnadoon, nice head, slightly round eye, good neck & shoulder, good bone & feet, very balanced rear angulation, correct tailset. Pressed hard to settle for RCC today; 3 Roberts’ Denver Sugar Babe. VB (1) 1 Brooks’ Lyndarlea Lacey.
