A pleasing entry of 60 from 56 dogs but I always find this variety the most difficult to judge. There were a bit uneven in size & quality; some were a bit short in neck & a few were shown in rather lean condition.
V (1) 1 Hellens’ Andynromadax Alanna at Lynbain, 8 years b/t bitch, pretty head, most expressive eyes, good coat & body, relaxed showgirl, just a little slack in topline & lazy on the move. MPD (1) 1 Vine’s Cishelvine Half In The Shade, 9 months red, attractive head, very nice expression, clean outline, good coat, moved well behind but needs to improve in front standing & also in front movement, well presented. PD (1) 1 Norton’s Halunke Going Dutch, 10 months quality red, good length of head, intelligent expression, well bodied with good length, lovely coat, a bit unsettled on the move but did get his act together in the end & looked quite impressive. JD (3) 1 Oxley’s Dinkidax Justin Credible, 15 months, very smart shaded red, very superior expression, good body & topline, moved & showed with style, just needs to tighten up in front; 2 Kennedy’s Denkena Loganberry, 14 months cream, happy relaxed showman, excellent coat & overall proportions, pleasing head, dark eyes, bit proud of his tail on the move at times, well handled; 3 McCarthy’s Nagshall Mr Tambourine Man. PGD (9,1a) 1 Woodall’s Half Century at Rarewood, 2½ years silver/dapple, quality head, bright intelligent expression, good body & length, showed consistently, sympathetically handled, moved OK; 2 Peel’s Twinkle Bar via Garbosa, needs to improve in front movement, good silhouette, well handled & presented, pleasing head & expression, standing rather slack on his feet today; 3 Cooper’s Jumanda’s Renaissance. LD (5) 1 RCC, Brown’s Garbosa Raising Cain, 20 months choc/t, the easiest winner so far today, excellent quality & type, I liked his head, expression & confident attitude, excellent topline & quarters, responsive showman who put on the style when moving; 2 Johnson’s Charpurdy’s Gold McNugget, 3½ years b/t, charming character who only had eyes for his mum! Quality head, good body & quarters, went well. Could use his neck to better advantage; 3 McCarthy’s Nagshal Oklahoma Sunrise. OD (3,2) 1 Hallsworth’s Ch Abydachs Aniseed, nearly 2, very smart & focused, could win much better classes than this & I was not surprised to find he is already a champion. Well balanced with most typical, appealing head & expression, coat glistening in the bright sun, beautifully turned out, held his topline on the move, expertly handled, full of self esteem.
MPB (2) 1 Potts’ Wildstar Winter Rose at Klondyke, 6 months b/t, ultra feminine & very relaxed for one so young, pretty head, good body & quarters, well fitting coat, moved & showed quite well; 2 McCarthy’s Nagshall The Power Of Grace, cream of nearly 9 months, failed in front & front movement & did more hopping & skipping then moving in an orderly fashion. Attractive head, good body & coat. PB (3,1) 1 McCarthy’s Nagshall Just So, 11 months cream, very nice puppy with good head, excellent body & length, clean well presented coat, confident mover & showgirl; 2 Chambers’ Rummerdax Harvest Moon, 9 months b/t, carrying a little too much puppy fat, determined to ‘hoover’ the ring rather than concentrating on trotting her stuff on the move. Pretty head, good coat & overall proportions. JB (7,1) 1 Johnson’s Charpurdy Just Willow, 16 months b/t, most attractive youngster who moved with style & confidence, pleasing head 7 expression, good coat, body & topline; 2 Cooper’s Jumanda’s Silver Angel, 14 months, good type, quality head, intelligent expression, clean outline, well proportioned, went well, steady showgirl; 3 Worswick’s Dolyharps Bitter Sweet. PGB (5) 1 Johnson’s Charpurdy Just Ification, litter sister to JB winner, feminine head, good exprression, full of her own importance, good coat & length of body, moved well, arrogant showgirl; 2 Poole’s Findowries fascination, 2 years shaded red, bit reluctant on the move at times but a typy bitch with good head & expression, firm body, well presentedcoat; 3 McCarthy’s Nagshall Sweet Molly Malone.LB (9,1) 1 Poole’s Findowrie Darcia Rose, 2 years red, feminine head & outlook, never gave up & gave an excellent performance, good topline which she held on the move, nicely proportioned, sound mover; 2 McCarthy’s Nagshall Sweet Caroline, 3 years cream, good head, fit body, well muscled quarters, in excellent condition, clean coat, steady showgirl; 3 Rowell’s Tolberg Tia Drop at Emmajesk. OB (9,1) 1 Boyle’s Rafthouse Lydia Dustbin at Zarcrest, 19 months b/t who made a good impression when the class moved round together, head held high & she has that touch of arrogance, most appealing eyes & expression, good length of body, firm topline, showy & cooperative, feet not great; 2 Mourton’s Dinkidudlor Isha Aurog at Eldmour, 3 years classy bitch with all the essentials, quality head, intelligent expression, well proportioned sturdy body. Just lost out on showmanship today; 3 Kerslake’s Devonwood Lady Alexandra.
