Firstly I would like to thank the committee for giving me the opportunity to judge four varieties of Dachshunds at their prestigious show. I would also like to thank my stewards who were very professional and knowledgeable and whose expertise added to my enjoyment of the day.

PD(2) 1 Oxley's Dinkidax Justin Credible. 10 month, compact s/r boy with plenty of substance and great attitude. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulders, super ribbing. Firm topline held on the move and stacked. Moved out with purpose and drive. RBD. 2 McCarthy's Nagshall Mr Tambourine Man. 9 month clear red. Nice head, good front assembly. Topline slightly lost on the move when he dropped his head.

JD(2) 1 Garbosa Raising Cain. What a showman, 11 month Chocolate and Tan boy with super front assembly, great reach of neck into well laid shoulder placement, with well sprung lengthy ribbing. Moved out with purpose and drive keeping his firm topline at all times. BP, BD and BOB. 2 Green's Neertanauf Jack Jones. 13 month s/r boy, nice head and expression. Good length of upper arm and keel. Moved out well holding his topline. Preferred the movement of the first.

PGD(6, 1) 1 McCarthy's Nagshall Just Santana. S/c boy with lovely masculine head. Good feet, beautifully manicured, good length of upper arm, shoulder placement and length of ribbing. Moved out well. 2 Pitfield's Follyfield Figaro. B/t with plenty of substance, well made throughout. Moved out well. A shade unsettled on the day. 3 Burr's Burrdach Freddie Mi Dreamer.

OD(2) 1 McCarthy's Nagshall Oklahoma Sunrise. Cream dog, nice head, well laid shoulders. Kept topline when stacked and on the move. Moved out well. Beautifully presented. 2 Oxley's Dinkidax Good Soul. Clear red boy. Well constructed with firm topline. Difficult to assess properly today as he was not giving his handler an easy time.

PB(5) 1 McCarthy's Nagshall Sweet Molly Malone. Promising 9 month old b/t puppy, compact with well covered frame. Pleasing head, good lay of shoulders, moved well. 2 Hall's Cliffmere Starlight Express. Another promising puppy but difficult to assess on the table as she was not happy. However, she redeemed herself when she moved. 3 Pitfield's Follyfield Filamena.

PGB(2) 1 McCarthy's Sweet Caroline. Shaded cream girl, nice head, excellent pigmentation, good shoulder placement, length of ribbing and keel. Firm topline which she kept on the move and stacked. Moved out well with good rear drive. 2 Green's Neertanuf Lucia Ruker. B/t, smaller type than first, well put together. Sweet head and expression nice reach of neck, firm topline. Preferred the movement of first.

OB(7, 3) 1 Cliffmere Special Edition. Lovely elegant shaded red bitch, nice head and front assembly with good length of upper arm and reach of neck into correct lay of shoulders. Ribbing well back. Sound true mover, keeping level topline at all times. BB. RBB. 2 McCarthy's Nagshall The Power Of Love. Cream, another nice bitch with similar attributes of the first, just preferred the topline of the first on the move. 3 Green's Eldmour Electra.
