DOGS Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge at your show. It has been a few years since I judged miniature longs. A lovely entry, all shown in good condition, weight was not a problem, there was only a couple nearing the 11 mark, this was reflected in my placings. Teeth were ok, I only found 1 level bite, and on the whole they were clean. Temperaments on the were delightful some were a bit hesitant, perhaps because of the noise some exhibits were making. I was delighted with my principle winners. VD (1) 1 Pitfield: Andynromadax Dave of Follyfield, black & tan, 8 years, a credit to his owner, not showing his age , he went round the ring like a youngster, good head & eye, still has a good front & keeps a good outline, moved with purpose. MP (6,2) 1 Locket-Walters, Walters: Ralines Royal Rebel : Black & Tan 6 month raw baby, what a cracker, super head & eye. Well set ears, lovely reach of neck into well placed shoulders, well ribbed, will muscle up with age, moved well, he played up his mum but he is a baby, he pulled all the stops when handled by a stranger in the challenge BP, delighted when he went BPIS. 2 Mcarthy: Nagshall Port Au Prince, S/Cream, 6 month, lovely type with good bone & substance quality head & front, feet ok, good underline, nice topline & quarters, moved well, just preferred outline and balance of 1. 3 Broad: Eldmour sea Lord of Dinkidudlor. PD (5) 1 Hall: Cliffmere Forester, 11 month s/red, handsome head, lovely dark oval eye, good front & well padded feet, good length of sternum, well placed shoulders running into a good topline, well ribbed, moved with drive, just lacking a bit of confidence which lost him BP. 2 Shutt: Dragonsteeth cream Cracker at Doonadoon, cream, nice outline on him, good head, dark oval eye with good pigmentation, long neck well laid shoulders, but is a touch short in upper arm, good body and substance, not the ribbing of 1. 3 Nagshall Port au Prince. JD (5,1) 1 Lockett-Walters, Walters, Railines Bright Future, b/c most lovely shape, beautiful head, with correct eye & pigmentation, prominent forechest, well laid shoulders, with correct length of upper arm, well ribbed, good length of underline and top line, moved true with drive, beaten by his kennel mate for top honours, his time will come RCC. 2 Norton: Halunke Pure Magic, s/r, good head, dark eye, good pigment & expression, prominent, forechest , well placed shoulders, liked his length of sternum and topline, good length of ribbing, moved with drive just preferred the overall balance of 1. 3 Breese: Silkdown Phoenix Rising. YD (4) 1 Mcarthy: Nagshall Digby Mac JW, well boned s/c, on good feet, lovely head & expression, nice front, good length of neck into well placed shoulders, would liked a little more length of upper arm, well ribbed, moved with drive. 2 Weston, Johnson: Gairhia Twice as nice at Ecotyne: b&t, pleasing all through, very good dark & pigment, showed keeping level top-line at all times, would prefer to see him to see him stride out more. 3 Mortlock: Metadale Leandros at Hertsmerry. PG (3) 1 Brooks: Obdax Lynn's Badger, s/d, well boned with quality conical head, good front with dimples, strong well padded feet, good length of upper arm, nice reach of neck into well placed shoulders, well ribbed, kept his top line at all times, moved with purpose. 2 Earley: Lilacfen Sonny Delight of Yelva, striking silver, dapple, with a delightful head and expression, good bone and tight feet, ok front, could do with longer upper arm, shoulder placement ok, pleasing conformation, just lacked rear drive. 3 Chambers: Follyfield Francisco. LD (6,1) 1 Lockett-Walters, Walters, Metadale Master Chef, s/c, Wow what a dog,, my idea of a standard in miniature, correct height to length ratio, lovely conical head with dark mischevious eye, prounced sternum with dimples, good length of keel, my hands just flowed down his neck in to well placed shoulders, well sprung ribbing, good length of loin, when he moved it took my breath away, striding out on a lose lead, he really commanded the ring, congratulation I hear this makes him up, well done CC & BOB & RBIS. 2 Green: Neertanauf Jack Jones: quality s/r, lovely head & expression with dark eye, good front & forequarters, well boned, good length of sternum & underline, liked his length of ribbing, well angulated hindquarters, stands with pleasing width all through, unlucky to meet 1 in such fine form. OD (6) 1 Norton: Halunke Double Dutch: A good class, quality shaded red, pleasing in head and eye, of correct proportions ,reachy neck into good shoulders, good front assembly, strong well sprung ribbs ,nice strong rump, moved with purpose, won the class on his overall elegance. 2 McCarthy: Nagshall Just Santana, lovely dog, masculine head, good length of neck, & well laid shoulders, his front allows good striding front movement, well ribbed, back with level topline, & good tailset, moved soundly, I just preferred the overall balance of 1. 3 Earley: Yelva Mister Brandy Man.
