Many thanks to Northern Counties for their invitation to judge this variety for the first time at their we'll run show. My general observations are that the males lack quality in depth and whilst there are some nice puppy dogs the intermediate classes lacked until Open. The bitches generally had some quality throughout, with some very nice juniors today. I was glad to see my BOB go on to win BIS. MPD (4) 1 Bedford's Eldmour Kango Kajali Of Dinkidudlor. Good masculine head with correct conical shape, well set eye and well placed ear. Strong level topline, well ribbed with a good loin. good bone and feet. Balanced picture in profile movement and moved out well fore and aft. In good coat and condition for his age. 2 Shutt's Stargazer Of Donnadoon. Pleasing head and eye, but didn't quite have the work in it as the 1st. Needs to tighten in front movement, but should come with age. Well ribbed and in good condition, lacked the maturity and coat of 1st. 3 McCarthy's Nagshall Port Au Prince. PD (3). 1. Woodall's Lyndarlea King Arthur. flashy dog on the move, full of confidence. Good bone and feet. Well ribbed strong topline, like a better lay of shoulder. In a fuller coat. 2 Shutt's Mocha Magic Of Donnadoon. Another pretty youngster just lacking the maturity and attitude of 1st. Well balanced with a good head and correctly set ear. Flowed through the neck and shoulders. 3 McCarthy's Nagshall Port Au Prince. JD (2,1) 1 McCarthy's Nagshall Justintime JW. Not a bad head with good proportions, moved well enough both ways, would like a better lay of shoulder, not in the best of coats and looked in need of some attention. YD (2) 1 McCarthy's Nagshall Digby Mac JW. Won on movement in profile and kept a more balanced outline. Pleasing head and expression with a well set ear. Good bone for age. A bit straight in rear construction. 2 Mortlock's Metadale Leandros At Hertsmerry. In good coat and condition. Well boned. Level topline but dropped off over the croup too much. PGD (2) 1 McCarthy's Nagshall Digby Mac JW. Won on movement and overall balance and kept topline on the move. Would have liked a little less back skull, and seemed to lose topline on the move, but fine stacked. 2 Brooks Ordax Lynn's Badger. Better size than some of exhibits, good bone and feet, moved away true, but lost topline in profile. LD (3) 1 Brooks Lyndarlea Kenny. Typey boy who kept a well balanced picture on the move. Move well back and forth. Pleasing head and expression with a good eye. Good bone and feet and for a change plenty of sternum. Little upright in shoulder. Kept a correct topline. In good coat and condition. 2 Woodall's Half Century At Rarewood. Moved well enough, with good bone and feet, good rear angles, would like a far better lay of shoulder and a little more oomph on the move. 3 Buchan & Kerslake's Devonwood Crackerjack At Helenium JW. OD (4) 1 Walters Metadale Masterchef. Moved like he owned the ring, with tail out, full of confidence. Full of breed type with a well made front construction and a keel. Well boned and good feet. Flowed through his neck and shoulders with a level topline, kept a more balanced shape in profile than 2nd. DCC & BOS. 2 Bedford's Rossdach Cream Of The Crop. Preferred the head and expression of this boy. Another well made with good bone and feet. Certainly gave 1st a run for his money, but just didn't keep his topline as well and front movement wasn't up to 1st's. But a good type and a worthy top class winner. Would benefit from some finishing touches to his presentation. RDCC. 3 Barnsdale & Hayward-Barnsdale's Chriskim's Trail Blazer JW. MPB (8,2) Some good puppies, which must be encouraging. 1 Barnsdale & Hayward-Barnsdale's Eldmour Nettle Omuro. Really liked this puppy, full of breed type, good make and shape, well balanced and kept topline on the move. Well balanced head with good proportions, soft eye and we'll set ear. Flowed well through neck and shoulders, well ribbed and correct loin. Moved well both ways, BPB & BP. 2 Allen's Penparc Creme Caramel. moved really well, full of attitude, not quite the scope of 1st. Good bone and feet, well ribbed and well made rear construction. Well presented. 3 Metcalfe's Pheobe Philo. PB (3) 1 Allen's Penparc Cinder Toffee. Litter sister to 2nd in last class, at the moment whilst didn't quite have the attitude, a well made bitch with a little more scope. Good bone and feet, well made front construction that flowed through the neck and shoulders. Well ribbed back and correct loin. Well let down behind. Just needs a coat to finish off. 2 McCarthy's Nagshall Port Alice. Preferred the overall balance of this one to 3rd, with a kinder expression and head. Moved well enough. 3 Bell's Tolberg Tilly's Mirror Image. JB (6) 1 Lockett-Walters & Walters Ralines The Last Word. A good class with some depth in quality to it. This bitch stood away and was considered seriously for top honours but just lost out on finish and maturity. Well balanced, with a good make and shape, well ribbed and correct strong loin. In a good coat and condition, moved well with her tail out wagging it. Move out with drive and reach and kept lovely flowing lines through her neck and shoulders into a correct topline. Good bone and feet, well made front. RBCC. 2 Bell's Tolberg Legally Blonde. Another well balanced girl, good bone and feet. Flowed through her neck and shoulders, well ribbed back, well made behind with a good bend of stifle. Plenty of qualities to this girl to like. Didn't quite have the finish of 1st in terms of fullness of coat. 3 Bell's Tolberg Tilly's Just The One. YB (5,1) 1 Nagshall Hey Kari Ann JW. Good head and expression with correct conical shape, correct ear set. Good front assembly into good bone and feet. Flowed through her neck and shoulders, good rear angulation, in a full coat with good condition to it. 2 Mee's Barlaine Red Splendour. Very feminine head and expression, with moved well with drive and purpose. A good honest type. Played owner up a bit too much to win. 3 Brooks Lyndarlea Chitty Bang Bang. PGB (8,2) 1 Bell's Tolberg Dazzling Daisy. A proper show girl who went round the ring as if she owned it. Well made front construction with a keel. Well ribbed and good strong loin. Correct topline into a well made rear. Would have liked a slightly better lay of shoulder. Feminine head and expression well balanced. 2 McCarthy's Nagshall Loralei. A pretty head and expression, good topline on the move. Well ribbed and correct length of loin, good rear angles, looked well in profile. 3 Brown's Devoncream Diamond Trinket. LB (7) 1 Lockett-Walters & Walters Ralines Blind Date. Feminine bitch with a well balanced head, well made front assembly into a good spring of rib and strong loin. Good bone and feet, in good coat and condition. Moved with confidence and style around the ring keeping a good topline. 2 Metcalfe's Metadale Aphrodite. A nice feminine head and expression with a kind eye and well set ear. Good topline with well sprung rib and firm loin. Kept a good topline on the move. 3 Woodvine's Hanishan Little Red Madam. OB (10,2) 1 Geeson's Ch Abydachs Absolutely. What a mover, such as a presence both up and down and in profile, kept a lovely balanced picture, plenty of substance. Quality bitch, good feminine head full of quality, well set ear. Plenty of forechest. Well ribbed and correct rear angles. Moved with drive and purpose. Really well put down in super condition. BCC, BOB & BIS. 2 Latham-Jackson's Ch Urishay Sweet Pea. What a mover this girl was really covering the ground freely. Would have liked a little more of her all through and didn't quite have the balance behind of 1st. Well bone with good feet. Good topline. 3 Brooks Hanishan Eezzy Magic Nite At Lyndarlea.
