Numerically a good entry, especially in bitches where the quality was deeper.

However I was saddened by the poor body condition of more than a few exhibits, often those at the top of the size & weight scale, & often these dogs lacked coat condition also. A couple of them were pot bellied to give them a temporary roundness. Add to this the dirty teeth of too many dogs & some smelling of urine, & these made it a somewhat disappointing morning.

I had plenty of exhibits within the weight in excellent condition & some a couple of ounces over, which doesn’t both me.

VD 1 Totonian Toscanini, 7 years old b/t with good head & eyes. Teeth in perfect condition. A little roached in back with cut up underline. Good front action. PD 1 Eldmour Kango Kajali of Dinkidudlor, 9 months b/t scored in ribbing & movement. Good head & eye. I would prefer better shoulder placement to give smooth neck line. Good mover. Could afford to carry more weight; 2 Nagshall Port AV Prince, 10 months, lovely headed dog, out of coat & needing to develop in ribcage. Good lengthen. Can tighten in front action; 3 Stargazer of Donnadoon. JD 1 Nagshall Just In Time, 17 months, maximum length & could be longer in the ribcage. Masculine head. Eyes a little light. Held a good topline. Good rear action & shown in good condition. PGD 1 Silkdown Phoenix Rising, 20 months, easy winner of the class despite needing more confidence on the table, good proportions, topline & movement & in lovely condition & coat. Good length of head but eyes a little large. With more confidence can go further; 2 Nagshall Digby Mac, 22 months, smaller dog needing more bone. Short in ribcage. Happy on the move but topline needs to be straighter. Not in good coat; 3 Inkums Chilli Pepper at Lyndarlea. LD 1 Metadale Leandros at Hertsmerry, 2 years old, best for type in the class, & in excellent body condition & scoring in chest & front action. He needs more neck & could make more of himself on the move & his handler could make more of him standing & moving. RCC; 2 Lyndarlea Kenny, 2 years b/t, longer dog who needs a longer ribcage. In good body condition & excellent carriage with more neck than the winner but not the chest or front action; 3 Sudasam Livin The Dream. OD 1 Ch Metadale Masterchef, 2 years cream, maximum length but the best mover of the dogs & holds a good topline. Not in best coat. Good head & eye. Has quality, easy winner of CC; 2 Obdax Lynns Badger, 2 years dapple, in excellent body condition & well ribbed. Good head type but not the front action of winner. Carried himself well; 3 Nagshall Just Santana.

VB 1 Eldmour Electra, 9 years old, well balanced & typy with good topline & carriage. Well ribbed & in good body condition. Excellent rear. Good head type but could be stronger in foreface. BV. MPB Good class of quality pups. 1 Sanmik Magic Happens to Donnadoon, 6 months, full of the joys of life, good to see, I liked her shape & proportions very much & when she settled showed good action at both ends. Well made, just needs a little schooling; 2 Criscan Odds Bodkins, 6 months, on her first outing & needing a little more confidence. A good mover. Needs more length of ribcage. Good head & eye; 3 Dinkidudlor Petmar Purfect at Classidax. PB 1 Jumandas Silver Lace, 9 months dapple, elegant & a good mover with very good carriage which won her this class. Feminine head & good eye, feet could be tighter. Well ribbed back & well covered. BP; 2 Ralines Royal Reggata at Leveliss, 11 months, looked my winner at first glance as she has lovely type & proportions with good forehand assembly. I liked her a lot on the table but on the move she was roaching her back which detracted from her outline, beautifully presented in excellent condition; 3 Nagshall Port Alice. JB 1 Metadale Coco Chanel of Bronia, 12 months b/t, beautifully made & shows this on the move, with excellent stride, good width in front. Good head & eye, excellent ribbing. Needs a little more confidence on the move. Scored in front assembly & neck into shoulder line; 2 Dinkidax Cyenna Satin, 15 months lovely bodied bitch with feminine head & good eye. In excellent body condition. A little upright in shoulder which affects reach & neckline. However full of quality & carried herself well; 3 Dolyharp Bizets Carmen. PGB 1 Barlaines Red Speendour, 2 years top sized red, in beautiful condition & full of quality holding her shape well on the move. Pigment could be a little stronger, well made & shows it on the move, well ribbed & carried good topline, lovely head & eye; 2 Lyndarlea Dolly For Kiddles, 5 years old dapple. Not the frontal assembly of the winner but I liked her for type, proportions, balance & topline, moved well. Feet could be stronger. Scored in forechest over 3 Devoncream Montserrat. LB 1 Charpurdy Just Ification, 3 years, I liked her size & proportions & has great freedom of movement for her size. Could be better presented but I liked her a lot. A real Dachshund in miniature. I preferred her size & balance here; 2 Ralines The Last Word, 2 years, big for stamp of b/t who is a wonderful mover & carries herself well but I would prefer her a little more compact & ribbed further back; 3 Jumandas Silver Slipper. OB Excellent class. 1 Bronia Peach Fuzz, 2 years cream, lovely quality & type throughout & shown in great form. Well put together, well ribbed & with lovely head & eye. CC & BOB; 2 Ch Charpurdy Just Willow, 3 years b/t, lovely bitch of excellent proportions & very good movement. I see is litter sister to the limit winner, pressed hard here, I liked her a lot. RCC; 3 Ch Abydachs Americana.
