Grateful thanks to Scottish Dachshund for inviting me to judge at their show. There were four bitches that I would have been happy to award a C.C. to, but the dogs were a different matter, to the point that I withheld the reserve C.C. In both sexes there were exhibits whose construction bore no resemblance to the Breed Standard, and they are supposed to be a breed capable of hunting, please bear this in mind. *VD/B* (1) 1 Mains Scotiablue Lily Bell. B/T bitch. Lovely head and eye. Super front with well laid shoulder. Short loin, well angilated hind end. Elbows could be tighter. Super hind action, and level topline. Still moves out well.*MPD* (3) 1 Oxley Dinkidax Right On Cue. Attractive red with lovely head. OK front. Well balanced. Good topline on the move. Well angulated behind. 2 Siggee Ensigynes Sterlini Larger puppy, lovely colour. Better feet, but movement not that of 1. Rather longer in the loin. 3 Brearley Calvins Dream Of Eternity At Xanadax. *PD* (2) 1 Graham Jadag Herr Bjorn. B/T Good Head, a little full in eye. Very good front and feet. A shade long in loin. Well angulated rear and good hind movement. Falls away in topline a little. Best dog puppy. 2 Siggee Ensignes Mysto. Taller type, and only 8 months. Rather out at elbow, and feet not as good as 1. Lovely head and eye, moved out well. *JD* (1) 1 Oxley Lokmadirio Bravo At Dinkidax. Pleasing head. A little short in upper armand close in front. Better feet than most. Longer in loin. Good topline stood and on the move. *PGD *(2,1) 1 Hutton Natali Victory Asmik To Dachalune (IMP RUS). Attractive head, good eye. Reasonable feet, but short in upper arm. Hind angulation better than front. Falls away on the move, but maybe because the exhibit is clearly unhappy in this noisy hall. *LD *(3) 1 Bedford Dinkidudlor Kintango Dinka. Beautifully constructed and balanced. Head is rather weak, particularly the foreface, which is such shame on an otherwise nice exhibit. Feet quite good. Correct movement and a good topline. 2 Paskins Dinkidax Sandrayana At Kindeace. Larger dog. Lovely head. Topline correct stood and on the move. Hind movement not driving as well as 1st. 3 Shutt Stargazer Of Donnadoon. *OD* (2) 1 Wood Ch Wildstar Wrobinson JW. Dark red, beautiful head, eye and front. Good feet, short loin. Well angulated hind end. Elbows tight to ribs. Lovely outline stood and on the move. Correct movement fore and aft. Dog CC and BOB and delighted to see him go BIS. 2 Bedford Eldmour Cinnamon Spice. Shaded red. Not the graceful outline of 1st, and skull more domed. Moves freely. Well angulated behind. *MPB* (4,2) 1 Siggee Ensignes Fantasio. Lovely colour, appealing head. Good front and feet. Well angulated behind. Good topline stood and on the move. Hind movement needs to strengthen. 2 Oxley Dinkidax Dressed In Red. Not the front of 1st, but a truly beautiful head.Good feet, lovely short loin. Needs more hind angulation. *PB* (3,1) 1 Bell Tolberg La Di Da. B/T Lovely head, eye, front and feet. Excellent topline stood and on the move. A little overwhelmed by all the noise in the hall. Best Puppy and reserve Best Puppy in show. 2 Metcalfe Metadale Nefertiti. Not the head of 1st, but nicely constructed. Good topline stacked, but not so settled on the move. Again a bit overwhelmed by the noise.*JB* (5,1) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Witchcraft Beautifully balanced red, not exaggerated in any way. Lovely head and eye, excellent feet. Correct topline stood and on the move. Correct hind angulation providing driving hind movement. Serious contender for the CC, Res C.C. 2 Worswick Dolyharp Music Of The Night, B/T. Lovely type. Not quite the topline of 1st. Well constructed, again not enjoying the noisy hall. 3 Shutt’s Donnadoon Starlight. *PGB *(3) 1 Cohen Lilac Blossom For Hutzpah. Well balanced red. Lovely head, front and feet. Short loin. Well angulated behind and moved well. Level topline stood and on the move. 2 Mason Tolberg Beez Kneez At Teckeltown. Another nice exhibit, and same comments apply apart from lacking the hind movement of 1st. 3 Shutt Donnadoon Moondust. *LB* (6) 1 Bell Tolberg Cream TreaT JW Sh CM. Lovely head, eye and front. Super tight feet. Well angulated hind end with super movement fore and aft. Correct topline stood and on the move. C.C. 2 Wood Wildstar Wreeva. Pressed very hard for the class, beautiful feminine bitch with excellent construction, only lost out to 1st on hind action. 3 Dare Larkhund Sofia. *OB* (5) 1 Mitchell Ch. Bronia First Impression. Unexaggerated little bitch. Lovely outline stood and on the move. Super front and feet. Well angulated hind end, enabling her to really cover the ground. Res C.C, 2 Cohen Ralines Red Bouquet For Hutzpah. More glamorous type, but didn’t move with the freedom of 1st. Lovely head, eye, front and feet.
