Dachshund (Miniature Long Haired)

I had a really enjoyable day judging Dachshunds at the SKC and was pleased with my entries for a Friday in Scotland. I would like to thank the exhibitors for their entries and the very sporting way in which they behaved, thank you to the SKC for inviting me to judge and the hospitality shown to me. 

PD (4, 1) 1 Oxley’s Dinkidax Right On Cue. Masculine conical shaped head, long muscular neck into well laid shoulders, good keel, well ribbed back, correct rear angulation, firm topline, promising youngster of good breed type, moved out well with good rear drive. 2 Broad’s Dinkidax Dionysus. Liked his type, masculine head and expression would have prefeferred a little more length to muzzle, good top line, well filled front, nicely angulated rear quarters, needs to firm with maturity, moved and shows really well. 3 Brearley’s Calvin’s Dream Of Eternity At Xanadax. 

JD (5) 1 Allen’s Abydachs Aristocrat. Promising young dog nice type and of nice quality, well constructed throughout with good width, well balanced head of nice proportions with gentle expression, good ear set, long muscular nicely arched neck into clean well laid shoulders, nicely filled front, well sprung ribs carried well back, firm topline and short strong loin, good rear angulation which he used well in his movement, was very sound. 2 Broad’s Dinkidax Dionysus. 3 Oxley’s Lokmadi Rio Bravo At Dinkidax. 

PGD (4, 1) 1 Hall, Cliffmere Folk Art. Lovely looking youngster of lovely type and quality, like his very balanced shape and outline, good height to length ratios, nice ground clearance, good clean nicely angulated front and hindquarters, firm topline, nicely proportioned head, well shaped dark eye, neck of good length, well made oval prosternum with ribs carried well back, was sound in movement with good stride, well deserved RDCC. 2 Broad’s Eldmour Sea Lord Of Dinkidudlor. Nice type dog nicely constructed front and hindquarters with good angulation, nice bone and feet, really good correct well shaped dark medium sized eyes with lovely gentle expression, good keel, nicely sprung ribs carried well back, sound in movement. 3 Heiser’s Polinard Kimber. 

LD (4) 1 Hall’s Cliffmere Patrick Sway Zee. Nice looking mature male of nice proportions and type, good ring presence, carried his head well back which was of good proportions, reachy neck into well laid shoulders, well filled oval thorax, well ribbed back, hammy quarters, he moved out soundly. 2 Kennedy’s Hanishan Blue Diamond. Really nice type lovely shape and outline, breed typical head, dark eye, good reach of neck, well angulated front and hindquarters, nice bone and feet, well sprung ribs carried well back, well filled front, good width throughout, sound movement with good stride. 3 Hutton’s Natali Victory Asmik To Dachalune (Imp Rus). 

OD (3, 1) 1 Harris’ Ch/Sz/Dk Ch Zarcrest Black Smith W18 Alpensieger 2018. Very impressive mature dog of lovely breed type and excellent ring presence presented and shown in tip top condition, loved the look of him from the minute he came into the ring. Really well constructed, balanced in shape and outline, masculine super head, dark eyes, long slightly arched neck into lovely clean well laid back shoulders, good sternum, well sprung ribs carried well back, tight elbows, hammy well angulated rear quarters, correct set stern which he used well, nice bone with well shaped feet, super coat, sound true movement with good stride and rear drive. I had no hesitation in awarding him DCC & BOB. 2 Paskin’s Dinkidax Sandrayana At Kindeace. Well presented dog of good breed type, compact quality dog, lovely masculine conical shaped head and expression, long neck into well laid shoulders, well filled front, nicely ribbed back with good width all through, firm topline, well turned stifle, sound movement. 

VD (1) 1 Broad’s Neertanauf Sea Magic JW ShCM. Eight and half year old mature male presented and shown really well of really good type enjoying his day out, balanced shape and outline really nice masculine conical shaped head, long neck into well laid shoulders, long ribbing and keel, muscular well angulated rear quarters, sound movement with good rear drive. 

PB (10, 2) Some nice promising youngsters present in this class. 1 Metcalfe’s Metadale Nefertiti. What a lovely young bitch, liked her a lot, really nice type and of good quality, a really smart young bitch who had the qualities I was looking for, nicely constructed with really good balance throughout, of good size and nice size to height ratio, ultra feminine conical head, dark eyes and gentle expression, good front and hindquarters, good ribbing, nice bone, coat, well shaped feet, moved really soundly with good stride. Definately one to watch for the future had no hesitation in giving her BP & RBCC. 2 Boyle’s Zarcrest Black Ink. Another nice quality youngster young bitch of really nice type, lovely feminine conical head and expression, excellent front and hindquarters, well filled front with nicely sprung ribs carried well back, nicely balanced throughout, moved out freely and soundly. 3 Oddie’s Ralines Lemon Drizzle For Riowood. 

JB (6, 3) 1 Kennedy’s Denkena’s Miss Booty Dazzler. Feminine bitch of lovely type, nicely constructed pleasing in shape and outline, feminine head, expressive eyes, good ribbing, bone and nicely shaped feet, lost her topline on the move running up a bit today should level with maturity, moved well. 2 Mains’ Scotiablue Matilda. Nice size bitch of good proportions, good bone, well sprung ribs carried well back, sufficient fill in front, good topline, well placed stern, moved out well. 3 Shutt’s Donnadoon Starlight. 

PGB (4, 1) 1 Mason’s Tolberg Beezs Kneez At Teckeltown. Pleasing type bitch, nice shape and outline, good head and furnishings, long neck into well laid shoulders, firm topline, well ribbed back, well muscled and angulated rear quarters, a little longer in loin, moved soundly. 2 Heiser’s Polinard Nobilis. Mature feminine bitch of nice type, conical feminine head, dark well shaped eyes with gentle expression, long neck, nicely shaped feet, good rear angulation, well ribbed, moved out well with good rear drive. 3 Rice’s Cunannun Faye Ella. 

LB (5, 1) 1 Metcalfe’s Metadale Ariadne. Soundly constructed bitch of lovely type and good quality, nice proportions, balanced feminine head, long muscular neck into well laid back shoulders, good front construction, well sprung ribs carried well back, firm topline, good width throughout, well angulated rear quarters, effortless sound mover with good rear drive. 2 Bedford’s Dinkidudlor Malizy Yaisa. Another nice quality bich of good type really well balanced shape and outline, feminine conical head, dark well shaped eyes, well set ears of moderate length, long slightly arched neck into well laid back shoulders, good keel and length of ribbing, well constructed rear quarters, smooth sound movement. 3 Bell’s Tolberg Cream Treat JW ShCM. 

OB (3) 1 Hall’s Cliffmere Levity. What a pleasent surprise, this bitch stood out for me today looking a real picture both standing and on the move, she was really well presented and shown so well. Really well constructed, sound both front end and rear hindquarters, lovely size and good height to length ratio, there was nothing exaggerated about this bitch, lovely quality and type, moved so soundly, free flowing with good stride and rear drive, a well deserved BCC, was informed this made her up today. 2 Mitchell’s Bronia First Edition. Another really nice quality bitch, very balanced in shape and outline, nicely constructed, very good forechest, well sprung ribs carried well back, firm topline, strong short loin, correct angulation both fore and rear, sound positive movement with both reach and drive. 3 Oxley’s DInkidax Cyenna Satin JW. 

VB (3) 1 Halsall’s Lyndarlea Dolly For Kiddles. Lovely looking bitch in nice condition of nice type, well balanced in shape and outline, good quality bitch who stood out in this class,sound construction both front and rear, nice bone, well shaped feet, good keel and ribbed back, moved out well, free parallel movement. BV. 2 Drady’s Jumanda’s Silver Sparkle At Indiko. Nice type bitch not as compact as first, filled front, good ribbing and strong, muscular, well angulated rear quarters, moved really well. 3 Mains’ Scotiablue Lily Bell.
