I found this entry difficult to judge, unfortunately a number of the males were very close to size and lacked covering, many lacked in upper arm and the correct head type with many with not the correct almond shape eye.
It was a very cold day and this did affect some of the exhibits not giving their best on the day, and as I judge them on the day, some I really liked didn’t perform on the day. Thank you for your entries and to my two stewards for a great job. I was over the moon my BOB went on to win the Hound Group.
Minor Puppy Dog (1)
1st Butler’s Drymoor Silver Thrup’ney Bit
A delightful Silver Dapple with a super temperament. Lovely head and eye shape, Super feet. Moved well, beaten by the more mature puppy for BPD
Puppy Dog (2)
1st Pike & Carter’s Zarcrest Flash Harry at Breezelyn
Well marked Silver Dapple, Lovely shape standing and on the move, shoulders good, sound movement front and back, but would like more drive on the move. nice angulated hindquarters, could do with a little more condition. Shown and moved well.
2nd McCarthy’s Santa Cruz
Still very inmauture in a heavy puppy coat. Lovely head and Eye, excellent feet, good front and rear angulations, shoulders good, moved well but not the movement of 1, would like more body weight on him.
Junior Dog (3,1)
One of the Closer decisions on the day,
1st Graham’s Jadag Herr Bjorn
Beautifully presented Black and Tan, Well covered, very mature for his age, Nice head. Good rear and front angulation. Super feet. Moved well keeping a good topline. Super outline stood.
2nd Harris & McLachlan’s Zacrest Flash Gordon
Silver Dapple, Loved his beautiful head and eye, lovely shape standing and on the move. Good reach of neck and well laid shoulders. Beautifully presented just preferred the ribbing length of 1st.
Post Graduate Dog (2)
1st Irvine’s Bronia the Dutchman
Most Gorgeous head and eye shape on this red boy. Larger frame, which was well filled, Lovely shape standing and on the move which was sound and giving a balanced picture. Well angulated rear. Won the RCC on his movement and presence.
2nd McCarthy’s Nagshall Love to Be
Black & Cream, Well presented, lovely masculine head and eye, excellent tight feet, moved well keeping a good topline but not the movement of 1st, being shorter in upperarm moving closer in front.
Limit Dog (2)
1st McCarthy’s Nagshall Just Lucamac JW
Cream with good pigment, liked his lovely head and eye shape. Nice size and well covered in body. Positive mover, with lovely feet. Won on his movement today.
2nd Poole’s Findowrie Mr McKenzie
Thought this red dog would be my winner, most gorgeous head and eye, lovely neck into well laid shoulders, Lovely Feet, Not moving as I have seen him in the past, and I would like more body condition.
Open Dog (5)
1st Wood’s Ch Wildstar Wrobinson
Red Dog, A stand away winner for me today, did not put a foot wrong. Gorgeous head and eye shape, super reach of next into correctly laid shoulders, best ribbing of the day and super hindquarters, which he can surely use, his shape on the move is stunning and moves with reach and drive I could watch him all day. I think him one of the best Miniature Longs, and today the hound group judge agreed and gave him Group 1, Many congratulations Loved Him CC, BOB & Group 1
2nd Latham-Jackson’s Dolyharp Purcell of Urishay
Nicely balanced Black and Tan, Lovely masculine head of correct proportions, eye a tad round for me, Well ribbed and nice hind quarters. Lovely outline standing and moving. Super muscle and beautifully presented. Considered for RCC
3rd Higgin’s Ralines Just Jewels
Minor Puppy Bitch (3,1)
1st Baker’s Jentiki Dot Com
Sweet Red Bitch, Nice head and eye, lovely type of good proportions. Nicely angulated both front and back, Good Ribbing, just needs to gain a little more confidence but the overall picture standing and moving was to my liking and this gave her BPIB
2nd Westaway’s Abbilis Maleficent at Treranch
Pretty headed red bitch, Good feet, Well muscled and moved well when settled, Short in Upper arm, and lacked the balance Of 1st at present. Preferred the Angulations and ribbing of the 1st.
Junior Bitch (6,2)

Lovely Black and Tan with a lovely head. Good neck into well lad shoulders. Correct front and rear angulation, lovely shape Both standing and on the move, which was correct both out and back too. Beautifully presented with good muscle tone. A well deserved RCC
2nd Whitfield-Robert’s Minard Your Own Kind of Music
Shaded red bitch with a lovely head, Smaller type to 1st, but didn’t lack substance. Looked a lovely picture stacked and moves Well front and back, just losing her topline in profile a tad, but still young so has time to get it altogether.

Super muscle and beautifully Presented coat. Close up for the RCC 2nd Worswick’s Dolyharp Fur Elise Pretty Cream Bitch, Lovely head and eye shape. Enough Coat.Good feet, nice shape stacked, but felt she was feeling the cold on the day and her topline on the move was not that of the 1st. Moves correct both ways. 3rd Baker’s Cliffmere Frolic
Open Bitch (3,1) 1st Whitfield-Robert’s Dandyayo I Am Moana A new bitch to me, Expertly handled by her handler to get the very best out of her, outmoved all the Bitches here today. More compact then I would normally like, but everything fitted into the correct Places, Nice head and eye, Super topline both standing and on the move. Had no hesitation in Giving her the CC on her performance, good luck in gaining her title. 2nd McCarthy’s Love Actually JW Cream, This bitch was to the other end of the scale and a tad long for me, and this made her a little slack in topline standing and on the move. Had a lovely head and eye which I preferred to that of 1st . Good feet. And moved well both ways and in profile.
Veteran Bitch (2) Two lovely red oldies, 1st Bowman-Davie’s Timshaws Moon Dust Nice head and eye shape. Lovely shape standing and on the move. Good front construction and correct hind quarters. Moved Beautifully both front and back and in profile. BVIB 2nd Sainsbury’s Ridgegrove Constance at Boscolla Pretty Girl, nice head and eye. More compact, Well muscled and nicely presented. Preferred the outline and movement of the 1st. |
