Best Special Beginner - Drady’s Tolberg Cream Surprise At Indiko. Thank you
to the Houndshow for inviting me to judge Miniature Longhaired Dachshunds at
their prestigious show held for Hound people. Also ‘Thank You’ to all the
exhibitors who supported me with their entry. It was a difficult hot day for
a long coated breed and the grass length restricted many exhibits when
moving. Overall I was extremely happy and pleased with my winners although
there were numerous quality dogs/bitches who on another day could be further
up the winners line.
MPD (3, 1) 1 Phillips’ Fallingwater First Light NAF. A
shapely, typy nearly 9 month old possessing promise and quality and looking
to have an auspicious show future. He has the bone and basic structure,
which is essential for future development. Pleasing head and expression and
he is of good size, make and shape with enough forechest for his age plus he
has a satisfying profile with good angles front and rear. He was very
confident with the better true free movement. 2 Wallace’s Ralines Just Jiles.
A well grown 6 month old Red who has pleasing bone and is well covered in
body although not as mature in look as first. True well made front with
ideal width all through. Pleasing in head and expression, moved with free
purpose but needing to strengthen in rear.
PD (3) 1 Phillips’ Fallingwater First Light NAF. As before.
2 Norton’s Halunke Dreams Of Magic. A 10 month old well made and well coated
young male. Attractive in profile and in head which is of good shape and is
breed typical in quality. Pleasing in front assembly which is tight and
true. Well developed in body having spring and being ribbed well enough
back. Angled hindquarters with parallel hocks. Movement not as free or as
precise as first. 3 Johnson’s Charpurdy’s Royal Oak.
JD (5) 1 Russell’s Russteck Moonbeam. A 15 month old B/T who
has an attractive overall shape, stands well and has an impressive balanced
profile with good angles front and rear. True, sound front of good width and
has pleasing forechest. He is well ribbed back with a firm topline, well
covered body and stable nicely angled hindquarters. Moved with reach and a
free, true action, although, disappointingly, not settled in the challenge.
2 Phillips’ Fallingwater First Light NAF. As before. 3 Drady’s Tolberg Black
Adder At Indiko.
YD (1) 1 McCarthy’s Nagshall Santa Paolo. A 13 month old
nicely made male who has a good length soft coat. Pleasing profile shape,
masculine head and expression. Pleasing front, forequarters and forechest
would prefer him to be slightly tighter in elbow. Firm in topline with a
good length body and pleasing proportions. Nicely let down hindquarters; was
a little laboured in movement.
SBD (2) 1 Fairchild’s Restinim Torandot. A 16 month old Red
in pleasing coat and condition. Fine head, long and low in the body.
Slightly more upright in front than I would prefer and needing more
prominent sternum. Needs to mature and tighten all through. Preferred his
movement to second. 2 Findlay’s Hanburydax Lord Oliver. A 16 month old Cream
who needs to mature and tighten all through to give of his best. Well bodied
and is well boned having all the basics. Needs to settle both standing and
on the move.
PGD (8) 1 Russell’s Russteck Moonbeam. As before. 2
Woodvine-Shone’s Hanishan Fire Cracker. A two and a half year old who is in
creditable condition and has a very well defined side profile although he
tended to drop and lose his top line on occasions. Attractive head with a
pleasing expression, head set well onto good length neck. Similar qualities
in front construction and body as first. Moved with an easy action but
tended to pull to the side. 3 McCarthy’s Nagshall Dutch Odyssey.
LD (7) 1 Dunhill’s Zarcrest Flash Gordon At Gellijam. A two
and a half year old impressive Dapple male who has clean lines and an
attractive side profile. Well constructed in front assembly with a body
which has balance and proportion without exaggeration. Handsome typy head,
set on a good length neck. Pleasing front, fore chest and firm condition of
body and particularly good, firm topline. He moved out well and free coming
and going with pleasing action in side gait. 2 Irvine’s Bronia The Dutchman.
A well constructed mature 4 year old Red who is shapely in body and
presented in excellent coat and condition. Very attractive head set on a
good length neck, well made long and low body. Pleasing front and forechest,
and angles front and rear. Moved with a purposeful front action although
needing a tighter action behind. 3 McCarthy’s Nagshall Dutch Odyssey.
OD (4) 1 Wood’s Ch Wildstar Wrobinson. A super quality 5 year
old, striking, well coated Red male who is in excellent coat and condition.
When standing he has a profile that is eyecatching, well defined, long and
low and is in proportion and balance. Attractive in appearance when viewed
from both sides displaying balance in length to height and angulations front
and rear. Classic front and forechest and so well made in body with pleasing
width all through. Moved with sound purpose and won the Dog CC. Had to give
way to the strong, free moving Bitch CC winner when challenging for BOB. 2
Woodvine-Shone’s Ralines Sazerac. A three and a half year old quality mature
male who has a very handsome head, typy expression, good neck length and
conformation of body. Nicely angled true front and forequarters with good
spring and length of ribbing. Firm, level in topline with firm, broad
hindquarters. Moved out with good extension in front but needing to be more
settled and precise in front and rear action in the challenge. Nevertheless,
won the Reserve Dog CC. 3 Larkin’s Luna Caprese Voleur De Roses (Ita).
VD (3) 1 Broad’s Neertanuaf Sea Magic JW ShCM. A ten and a
half year old obviously mature, well constructed male who is in commendable
coat and condition. He has a pleasing typical profile, handsome head with
good bite and teeth. Pleasing neck leading to good firm topline. Mature body
with desirable spring and length of ribbing Strong, well angled hindquarters
but would prefer more obvious width behind when on the move. Best Veteran in
Breed. 2 Phillips’ Rossdach Rave On. A 7 year old d/brindle who is of
similar profile shape to first although heavier in appearance. Masculine
well shaped head, full bodied with firm enough topline. Moved close behind.
3 McCarthy’s Nagshall Just Santana JW.
MPB (3) 1 Wood’s Wildstar Wrolanda. A very smart quality Red
9 month old youngster looking in the same style as the Dog CC winner. She is
of pleasing construction and overall shape being well grown and having
desirable bone, body and well defined topline. Lovely balanced head and
alert expression. Moved well with purpose but not helped by the grass
length. 2 Phillips’ Fallingwater Flower Power. A very smart 9 month old Red
of similar shape and quality to first. Very attractive in head shape and
expression. Pleasing overall length of body with a well defined firm
topline. I preferred front and forechest of first. Moved confidently with a
good front action but at times tended to slightly crab.
3 Cox’s Cheritondax Chardonnay.
PB (8) 1 Mason’s Crownlake’s Queen Bee. A super quality B/T
who has such a well balanced and proportioned look in side profile. Lovely
head and eye which contributes to her striking appearance. True front with
balanced angulation front and rear. Pleasing length and width of body, firm
topline. Moved with sound purpose in front and good parallel width action
behind. Best Puppy in Breed. 2 Wood’s Wildstar Wrolanda. As before. 3
Phillips’ Rossdach Rave On.
JB (9) 1 Whitfield-Roberts’ Dandydayo Kiss The Girl. A 16
month old Red who impressed with her overall balance, quality clean lines
and profile. Attractive head, eyes and expression. Excellent ground covering
movement maintaining her side profile. Pleasing front, body and rear
construction with strong angulations front and rear; tight in elbows. Body
of good length, low enough to the ground with adequate leg length. Moved
with sound purpose and was the best mover and most settled of the class. Did
well in the CC challenge parading her free and easy precise movement. My
Reserve Bitch CC winner. 2 Bell’s Tolberg Cream Delight. A very nice 17
month old Cream who has quality in conformation and feminine breed type in
appearance. Well shaped balanced head set correctly on good length neck.
Pleasing in body both length and cover, angulations front and rear. Moved
well in front but would prefer a more precise action behind. 3 McCarthy’s
Nagshall Santa Rosa.
YB (5) 1 Johnson’s Findowries Rose Queen At Charpurdy. An
impressive rising 2 year old B/T who has a coat of pleasing condition.
Lovely quality head and expression, head set well onto good length neck, the
better front and forequarters of the class. Well made moderately long body
all in proportion and balanced. Pleasing angulation front and rear. Moved
the best of this class. 2 McCarthy’s Nagshall Santa Rosa. An attractive 13
month old cream who stands firm and well over the ground. Lovely expression
and head in shape totally in proportion and style to compliment her
appearance and so consistent from this kennel. Long and low, well made in
body with good angles front and rear. Moved freely especially in side gait
but tended to sway behind. 3 Thomas’ Abydachs About Time.
SBB (7) 1 Drady’s Tolberg Cream Surprise At Indiko. An 18
month old striking cream who has overall pleasing construction being well
bodied and firm in topline. Smart, well defined clean lines all through.
Body is in proportion and balance giving an eyecatching standing side
profile. Pleasing in overall length with a firm enough topline and enough
angles front and rear although needing to strengthen. Moved out with purpose
and a free action but needing to settle. Best Special Beginners. 2
MacMichael’s Cheniesvilla Dita Von Teese. A 2 year old B/T youngster of
pleasing overall make and shape. Attractive, breed typical head and
intelligent expression. True, parallel front although needs to tighten in
elbow. Pleasing body, topline and hindquarters. Moved well especially in
side gait but needing to be more settled in front action. 3 Billett’s Daring
Dancer.
PGB (5) 1 Siggee’s Ensigynes Fantasio. A very nice quality 3
year old d/brindle bitch who is attractive in side profile with good enough
leg length. Pleasing head. Well made in body having a pleasing overall make,
shape and profile. Moved well enough especially in side gait. 2 Johnson’s
Charpurdy’s Dandy Dutchess. A shapely dark red who has a pleasing overall
shape and proportions. In good coat and condition. Attractive head shape and
expression. Moved out well but tended to sway and needing to strengthen in
rear action.
LB (7) 1 Woodvine-Shone’s Hanishan Stracciatella. A lovely 3
year old B/T who has an attractive head, neck and overall shape. Typy
feminine head set on good length neck, true front which I preferred to
second, firm body and satisfying in angulations front and rear. Overall
generally well made and presents a breed typical appearance. Moved out well
especially in side gait. 2 Mason’s Tolberg Beez Kneez At Teckeltown. A
smart, nicely coated mature 4 year old who stands firm and well over the
ground. Attractive head shape totally in proportion and style to compliment
her overall appearance. Well made in body with good angles front and rear.
Moved freely in side gait but needing to strengthen in rear action. 3
Phillips’ Summerview Minnie Mouse.
OB (5) 1 Geeson’s Abydachs Alchemy. A mature but not yet 2
years of age quality B/T who presents a very pleasing overall appearance
both standing and on the move. In good coat and condition. She has a
quality, fit appearance who impresses with her precise, free easy action,
true extension in front and good width, drive behind. Sound in conformation
and is so pleasing to go over. She has a very attractive head and expression
which is breed typical and feminine. True tight front, quality in body
condition, clean lines all through with good length of neck, firm level top
line with desirable angulations front and rear. Strong, pleasing forechest,
true front with tight elbows and sound body with proportional width all
through and behind. Moved with true front and good width rear action with
impressive side gait. My Bitch CC and BOB winner. 2 Wood’s Wildstar Wrivera.
A quality typy 2 year old in the same mould as the Dog CC winner. She has an
attractive head, neck and overall shape. True in front, firm low body having
desirable angulation front and rear. Overall generally well constructed and
projects a breed typical appearance. Very close in individual qualities to
first but not having the same free movement as first. 3 Worswick’s Dolyharp
Fur Elise.
VB (2, 1) 1 Phillips’ Rossdach Madame Butterfly. An admirable
eleven and a half year old dark red mature bitch who has an attractive
overall make and shape. Pleasing head both in shape and expression. Good
front and has good overall body length, enough body substance, ok
proportions and is balanced in front and rear angulations. Moved freely but
tended to be unsettled in front and close behind.
