Apologies for the delay in this report, it is one I found very difficult to write. I am aware that these are not totally representative entries. However, I was very disappointed with the overall quality. I had to withhold in one class.
I know that there are complaints that ‘that dog always wins’, but look at those dogs that always win, look at their construction, presentation and movement and try to see why! Sadly, too many in both varieties with upright shoulders, short ribbing, straight hindquarters, untypical heads and unsound movement, particularly very close hind action. Longs are getting very big again!
With this in mind, I am not going to individually critique each dog I placed. I am more than happy to discuss this with any exhibitors who entered.
Saying that, I was delighted with my principal winners, the CC and RCC awards in both varieties were easy winners and my BPs are very promising. DCC, BCC & RBCC all by the same very clever breeder. I was very pleased to see that in Longs my BOB was 4th in the group and Long BP 2nd in the puppy group, kennel mates so again a very clever breeder.
