Honeysuckle Scent to Me Via Debbiejay JW
It has been quite a while since I last judged
this variety and I was rather concerned about temperaments. So many ,
specially amongst the younger dogs, were nervous and did not want to stand
on the table and their eyes looked fearful as they hunched themselves so
that the toplines did not look level. Having said this, I was very pleased
with my main winners who I found to be very good examples of the breed. The
veterans were all a tad heavy but I was also surprised that there were some
puppies that tipped the scales
VD (1) 1 Broad’s Ch Neertanuaf Sea Magic JW
Sh.CM This was a shaded red 12 year old male and credit to his owner as he
was in very good condition . Pleasing head and eye. Good keel and front.
Tight feet and ribbing goes well back. Good topline and moved extremely
well, especially for his age.
PD (2) 1 Phillips’ Summerview Hello Hugo Black
and tan with a good head and eye. Sufficient keel, well ribbed with a good
topline. Tight feet. Loved his shape and he moved very soundly. Flying his
tail a bit, but carried it low enough when he had been moving a few strides.
Best Puppy. 2 Francis and Kent’s Lokmadi Gabriel At Feebrick This cream
youngster has a nice head and eye. Sufficient keel and ribbing. Feet could
be tighter. Not as smooth on the move as the winner but held his topline.
JD (3) 1 Mitchell’s Ch Bronia Maverick. Lovely
cream young dog. Liked his type. Good head with super dark eye. 15 months
and very sure of himself. Good keel and shoulders, tight feet. Well ribbed
with a very good topline and strong hindquarters. Sufficient daylight
beneath him. He moved very well just needs to tighten up in elbow coming
towards me. 2 Hall and Borsuk’s Cliffmere Rustler. Black and tan with a nice
head and eye.. Sufficient keel. Feet could be tighter.. Ribbing goes back
enough and he has a good topline. Moved well.3 Mayson & Nichols Charpurdy’s
The Baron Post
GD (4) 1 Broad’s Bronia Wolfgang Puck This red
dog is 23 months. I liked his head with a good dark eye. Happy on the table,
he has sufficient keel and ribbing goes well back. Held his topline on the
move. Tight feet. Moved well. 2 Mcsorley’s Barlaine Midnight Charmer I liked
this dog as he entered the ring. Sadly did not really want me to go over him
on the table. He had a nice head and sufficient keel. Feet were tight and
when he moved his topline did settle. He was a bit nervous which was a shame
as he has a nice shape. 3 Mayson & Nichols’ Charpurdy’s The Viscount
LD (4) 1 Brown’s Garbosa I’m a Dandy. I really
liked this dog as he entered the ring and he did not disappoint.
Chocolate/tan of 17 months. Super head and eye. Good neck and shoulders.

dog. He is such a lovely example of the breed and has the real “look at me”
attitude. 7 year old red in great condition. Correct all through with a
lovely head and expression. Correct shoulders and tight feet. Plenty of keel
and long ribcage. Held his topline and used his correctly angulated
hindquarters.. Sufficient daylight underneath Moved very well, as he would
with that construction. CC his 71st! and BOB. Apparently he now equals the
breed record. So well deserved.2 Hall’s Cliffmere Woodman another red with
pleasing head and eye. Narrower throughout than the winner. He is well
ribbed with tight feet and good topline.. Moved well. Steady temperament and
a pleasing outline. 3 Woodvine-Shone’s Hanishan Fire Cracker

be forgiven as they reach middle age 1st: Metcalfe’s Metadale Ariadne Lovely
7 year old shaded red. Sweet head and good eye. Lovely alert expression.
