This was not an easy entry to assess with many of the exhibits struggling with the ground conditions. There were nice rings outside but unfortunately by the time we started we had to run for cover in the marquee where the grass was quite long and the ground quite uneven. Thank you to the exhibitors for their resilience and perseverance and thank you to my excellent team of stewards. There were a number of exhibits with upright shoulders creating short necks, short upper arms and short ribbing. YD (3) 1. Francis/Kent’s Lokmadi Gabriel at Feebrick. Cream dog with nice overall shape, lovely head and eye, balanced angulation front and rear, good top-line, moved steady and true keeping his outline at all times. 2. Mayson/Nichols’ Charpurdy’s The Viscount. Red dog of nice size and shape, good head and eye, balanced proportions throughout, was a little difficult to assess on the move as he was not really settled or making the most of himself, just needs that little extra confidence. 3. Morrin/Barbi’s Code Red Again at Arlatdax. GD (1) 1. Mayson/Nichols’ Charpurdy’s The Baron. Red dog with a nice head, good front, quarters and top-line giving him a strong profile both standing and moving, moved sound and true covering the ground with purpose. LD (3,1) 1. McSorley’s Barlaine Midnight Charmer. Elegant black and tan dog with an excellent head and eye, balanced conformation, very pleasing to handle, good neck into strong top-line, well made front and quarters, moved well, true at all times keeping his profile, just needs a boost of self confidence to express himself fully on the move, RDCC. 2. Kasprowicz’ Daniello Tiny Troublemaker. Red dog with a nice head and eye, good size, balanced outline and shape when standing but lost his shape altogether on the move, he just seemed unable to cope with the grass and conditions today. OD (5,2) 1. Mitchell’s Ch. Bronia Maverick. Super cream dog, lovely head and eye, good neck, well constructed and angulated front and quarters, strong even top-line, good ribbing carried well back and a prominent forechest, presented in excellent condition and put on a sterling performance, moved really well using all his attributes to move with style and drive covering the ground with ease, DCC & BOB. 2. Brown’s Garbosa I’m A Dandy JW. Masculine chocolate and tan dog of good size, of balanced proportions and construction throughout, good bone and substance with good ribbing carried through, well presented in good coat, moved sound and true at all times maintaining his outline and taking everything in his stride. 3. Kasprowicz’ Daniello Tiny Troublemaker. PB (5,2) 1. Heather’s Ravensbeech Florentine Whiteorchard. Pretty dapple bitch with a good overall shape and outline, nice head and eye, good neck and strong top-line, well made and balanced throughout, moved well keeping her balance and shape, coping much better on the move than the others in this class, BP. 2. Kasprowicz’ Daniello Jalka Jollynda. Red bitch with balanced proportions and shape when stacked, lovely head with good eye shape, good neck, not the length of upper arm of winner and a little longer in loin, unfortunately she didn’t like today’s conditions at all and had no co-ordination on the move. 3. Gunter’s Infragenti Leading Layla at Wellingtonway. JB (4,1) 1. Brown’s Sunkissed Candy from Garbosa. Feminine well coupled cream bitch of lovely size and type, well balanced throughout with good front and quarters and strong top-line, moved well coping with the ground with ease. 2. Gunter’s Darwindax Bobby Jean at Wellingtonway. Elegant black and tan bitch with a lovely head and eye, nice overall shape when standing with a good top-line and balanced proportions although would benefit from a little more layback of shoulder, unfortunately not able to co-ordinate herself on the move today thus losing her outline. 3. Kasprowicz’ Daniello Jalka Jollynda. YB (3) 1. Mitchell’s Bronia Chaka Khan. Lovely feminine cream bitch of excellent size and type, beautiful head with gentle expression, balanced throughout, strong even top-line with well constructed front and lovely quarters, moved really well using her attributes to cover the ground freely with drive and extension, was not surprised to discover later that she was sister to the DCC winner as she has many of the same qualities, BCC. 2. Dalton’s Zilcan Creme Caramel at Llansansior JW. Taller cream bitch, nice head and expression, clean neck and strong top-line, good bone, ribbing and substance, she maintained her profile well both standing and moving, balanced front and rear, moved sound and true at all times, just not the freedom or extension of the winner today. 3. Kasprowicz’ Daniello A Perla Di Luna. GB (1) 1. Kasprowicz’ Daniello A Perla Di Luna. Nice shaped bitch when stacked, lovely head and eye, good ribbing carried well back, balanced proportions front and rear, moved positively but sometimes losing her overall outline on the move, was just moving rather wide in front today. LB (3,1) 1. Cox’ Cheritondax Chardonnay JW. Quality red bitch of pleasing type and conformation, well made throughout with good front and rear assembly, strong even top-line, good bone, substance and ribbing carried well back, moved out well keeping her shape in profile and moving with extension and drive. 2. Pain’s Tolberg Here’s To The Future with Ravensbeech JW. Feminine cream bitch with nice overall shape and proportions, balanced front and rear, good ribbing and strong top-line, moved steady and true at all times keeping her outline, just not the freedom and drive of the winner today. OB (4,1) 1. Goddard’s Westwillow A Touch of Magic at Minard. Classy brindle bitch, lovely to go over with everything placed and fitting together nicely, prominent forechest, well laid shoulder, good ribbing carried well back and well angulated quarters, strong even top-line complimenting the overall profile picture, moved really well covering the ground with ease and drive, certainly not showing her age, RBCC & BV. 2. Cox’s Dolyharp Sweet Harmony. Very nice red bitch presented in lovely coat and condition, good head proportions, nice neck into well placed and angulated shoulder and lovely quarters, well balanced throughout giving her a good profile, moved well just lacking a little co-ordination and I felt with her conformation she had more to give on the move than we saw today. 3. Bullingham’s Lokmadi Me and Mrs Jones at Stoweytop. VB (2,1) 1. Pain’s Galrhia Full of Beans at Ravensbeech. Dapple bitch with a nice head and eye, balanced front and rear, very good ribbing carried well back and a lovely short strong loin which gave her an excellent top-line which she held at all times, presented in lovely coat and condition, moved sound and true coping much better than many of the younger exhibits.
