Thank you to the committee of Northern Counties Dachshund Association for their kind invitation to judge this charming variety and to the exhibitors for the bringing their lovely dogs. I was delighted with my winners who fit the Standard well. There were one or two with kinked tails which affected placings. Temperaments were generally good. I thorough enjoyed my day.

1. Ch Tolburg Beez Kneez at Teckeltown (Mason) Such a quality bitch in fabulous coat and condition. Feminine head, dark almond eye, conformation spot on, level topline stacked and on the move. Handled to perfection. BV
2. Ch/Irish Ch Ralines Sazerac (Woodvine-Shone) Super headed boy, with very little to fault, animated and free moving. A credit to his owner.
Minor Puppy Dog (4,0)
1. Indiko Fire and Ice (Drady) Promising cream with masculine quality balanced head, good development and length of ribcage, needs to develop and strengthen in front, level top line and pleasing, short rear pasterns.
2. Sanmik Captain @Welingtonway (Gunter) Attractive red, with good ring presence carrying himself well on the move, masculine yet refined conical head with dark almond eye.

1. Dolyharp Rossini at Garbosa (Brown)Very lovely cream with super head and expression, good pigment, good height to length ratio, excellent length of well developed rib, short coupled, level top line stacked and on the move, free moving and accurate footfall, short rear pasterns.
2. Restinim Mr Pip (Fairchild)Attractive black and tan with super temperament. Not as forward as 1 in body development being rather narrower all through. Has ring presence on the move

1. Rivandell Sirius Black (Thomson) Quality masculine, but not coarse, head with dark pigment on this quality cream, moderately angled front assembly, excellent ribcage development and length of rib, wide pelvis, short hock to ground and moderate rear angles. Showed well, good temperament and well presented.
2. All For Show (Bater) Completely different type with plenty to like just needs more confidence and a little more presence, would prefer slightly better angulation for balance, good length of rib.

Ch Zarcrest Red In The Room (Dalton and Beach) Really like this chap, quality conical head with almond eye, excellent front assembly, well developed prosternum and length of ribcage, super rear with short hock to ground, level topline and excellent underline. Handled well with lots of ring presence. Just lacking a little bloom today in his coat.

1. Revdvickis Theodore by Urishay (Lathom-Jackson) Really lovely chap- hope he relaxes and gains confidence. Lovely head, legs and feet, super front construction, length of rib, strong rear, level top line.
2. Code Red Again At Arlatdax (Morrin and Barbi) Super temperament on this shaded red. Nice head and expression, rather narrow all through, but good length of rib, strong rear, level top line. Moved and handled well.

1. Dolyharp Amadeus at Sidburyhill (Stevens) Black and tan of quality, showy chap with great ring presence and well presented. Loved his conical balanced head, almond eye, decent length of neck, moderate angles and enough rib length. Sound whichever way you look at him.
2. Allerbach’s Tiger Moth (Gordon) Compact cream. Not the angulation or elegance of 1. Level topline and good length of ribcage.

1. Ch Bronia Maverick (Mitchell) Super cream of the highest calibre. Masculine head but in no way coarse, dark eye and pigment. Super front assembly, long well developed ribcage, short coupled, level topline which he kept at all times, well angulated rear quarters with short rear pasterns which he used on the move. Good reach and fluid ground covering movement. Good ground clearance. Presented well and in good coat and muscular condition. I had great pleasure in awarding him the CC and BOB.
2. Minard Darque Red For Devondax JW (Ham) Really lovely red of much quality. Loved his head and expression. Glamorous and elegant, built on flowing lines, and in super coat and condition. Good length of neck and moderate angles, decent length of rib carried well back. Good bone legs and feet. Correct height to length ratio. RDCC

1. Indiko Eternal Flame (Webster)I was captivated by this puppy which was so well balanced. Sweet feminine conical head with lovely eye and expression, correct front construction with good lay back and return of upper arm, good length and development of ribcage for age, super rear quarters with short rear pasterns, level topline and super movement. Endearing temperament. BSB

1. Indiko Cast In Cream at Tolberg (Bell) Cracking cream baby. So pretty and truly a dachshund in miniature. Houndy head which is feminine and balanced with beautiful almond eye and dark pigmentation. Reachy neck leading into well laidback shoulders with return of upper arm and well developed thorax. Good length of rib and well angulated hindquarters with short hock to ground. Level topline and good ground clearance. Lovely feet. Silky coat, in super condition. BP

1. Indiko A Touch Of Cream at Tolberg (Bell) litter sister to 1 and 2 in MP bitch and winner of MP dog and very much out of the same mould. Absolutely super fore and hind angulation and perfectly balanced with elbows tucked well under ribcage which was carried well back. Good ground clearance. Plenty of forechest and length of keel. Another lovely one!
2. Findownie Elana Rose (Poole) another lovely puppy with elegance and good length of rib, level topline. Plenty of ground clearance. Moved well.
3. Dolyharp Grace Kelly at Cheritondax (Cox)
Junior (10,3)
1. Ralines Just Jasmine (Lockett -Walters) Correct size Sh cream of quality. Very nice to go over on the table, pretty feminine conical head with almond eye, good length of neck, shoulders well laid back with return of upper arm allowing for plenty of forechest, depth and length of keel, good length of rib, well angulated rear quarters, short hock to ground. Really excelled on the move covering ground well and scored here, keeping her topline at all times.
2. Rivandell Nymphadora ( Hottom)Cream. Nice bitch, larger than one and rather heavier over the shoulder and more upright in front than one. Good length of rib, level topline both stacked and on the move. Moved well, being sound out and back and in side profile.

1. Ciselsig Hey There Delilah JW (Ham) Red with lots to like. Beautiful feminine head and almond eye good reach of neck which gave her some elegance. Super front. Well balanced and moved well. Presentation first class.
2. Crownlakes Million Dreams (Mason) Rather overwhelmed today. A tad finer all through and shorter in rib than one. Nice outline. Presented well and in good coat and condition.

1. Unishay Nell Gwyn (Lathom – Jackson) Head balanced, rather full in eye, moderate angles, good length of rib but still needs to develop, level top line. Excellent coat and condition. Presented well.
2. Zilcan Magic Moments for Arlatdax B/T lovely temp erament. Showed well. Not the balance of 1. Super coat and condition.

1. Rivandell Osha (Hottom)Shaded cream. Nice outline and lovely to go over. Attractive bitch. Mod angulation front and hind quarters, decent length of rib, good topline and ground clearance. Tad short keel. Good coat and condition.
2. Hanburydax Fleur Jac Pretty head under eye. Not angulation of 1 but good length of rib and pro sternum

1. Ch Ralines First Past The Post (Lockett) super bitch of correct size put down in good order with gleaming black and tan silky coat. Feminine balanced head. Excelled in front assembly with good length of neck leading into well laid back shoulders and return of upper arm, oval thorax and good length of ribcage which was carried well back. Level top line. Super bone and feet. Great presence and well handled. I was delighted to award her the CC.
2. Ralines Coalition With Jadag (Graham) litter sister to 1. Lovely head with dark almond eye. Presented in wonderful coat and condition. So lovely to go over. Moderate front angulation with good rib development carried well back. Level topline. Super rear quarters with wide pelvis and strong muscular thighs and second thigh, short rear pasterns. Good tail set and carriage. Close up to 1. RBCC
