Thank you to the Officers and Committee for inviting me to judge at SWKA. Awarding CC’s in Min L/H Dachshunds, and thank you also to the Exhibitors that made the journey over to enter under me. Overall the standard of dogs was very high. All were in very good condition, with no bad mouths, lovely white teeth and no long nails. A credit to the breed. I was mainly looking for a free-flowing easy movement, so individual critiques may be similar. All dogs had good temperaments.
The young dogs were a delight to judge, and hopefully will do the breed proud.
Veteran (1)
1st:- Woodvine-Shone’s Ch Hanisshan Fire Cracker. Moved very freely and easy. In really beautiful condition. Stood alone but a well worthy winner. A great example of the breed, owner should be very proud. BVD & BVIB
Minor Puppy (2)
1st:- Dawidowska’s Aavistuksen Salainen Amor. 6 month red . Nice red boy at his first show. Behaved very well and moved steady. Should have an interesting future as really enjoyed himself, with a good happy attitude.
2nd :- Beckett-Bradshaw’s Lampcien Feeling Frisky at Hukaka. A bit naughty today but had a great time ! This did not help his handler. I loved his temperament. Very promising but will need to settle down.
Puppy (2)
1st_ Gunter’s Welingtonway Muffin Man. A very close call. This boy had a lovely flowing movement which caught my eye. Good front and correct length of body already, should have a promising show career ahead
2nd_ Mason’s Crownlake Rolls Royce. I very lovely blk/tan. A bit longer in body. Good depth of chest, but not quite bodied up yet. Smart boy and as always by this handler, he was shown perfectly.
Junior (5)
1st :- Whitfield-Roberts Dandydayo Cowboy and Kisses. A beautiful young dog who maybe still needs to mature and body up for the ‘big boy’ classes. However, he did not put a foot wrong today and I could not deny him the class. Moved with so much ease to show off his quality, virtues and ring presence. DCC & BOB
2nd :- Woodvine-Shone’s Hanishan Starlightexpress. A bit heavier than winner, and could have won the class another day. Also moved well with easy flowing movement.
3rd :- Poole’s Findowrie The Field Marshall
Post Grad (1)
1st:- Dunhill’s Gellijams The Archer. Stood alone, but worthy winner. Very smart cream, who went around the ring with ease. Nice Masculine head and expression.
Limit (5)
1st :- Phillips & Turner’s Fallingwater Zfortissimo. Moved really well and seemed to be on a mission. Considered for top honours. Handsome masculine boy. Lovely overall shape. Did not behave so well in the challenge. A difficult class again.
2nd :-Thomson’s Rivandell Sirius Black. Unfortunate to meet winner today. Moved with ease. Very smart with a lovely handsome head.
3rd :- Dalton & Beach’s Llansansior Red at the Door
Open (3)
1st:- Drady’s Ch Indiko Fire and Ice JW. A clear winner today. Beautiful pale cream. Moved so perfect, with ease to show off his qualities. Very much a show man. A credit to his owner. RDCC
2nd:- Ham’s Minard Darque Red for Devondax JW. Not quite as hot on the move today, but overall a good quality dog who still showed very well.
3rd:- Latham-Jackson’s Revdvicki’s Theodore by Urishay JW
Good Citizen (1)
1st:- May’s Scrumptious Red on the Dot JW. Seen dog in Limit. Very handsome, showed well, and better behaved in this class to deserve his win. Much more settled. A worthy winner.
BITCHES
Veteran (1)
1st:- Heather’s Gairhia Full of Beans at Ravensbeech. Free lovely mover for 10 years old. Showing no sign of ageing. Pretty feminine girl to be proud of.
Minor Puppy (1)
1st:- Dawidowska’s Aavistuksen Pimee Pila-Pirjo naf taf . Stood alone in this class. Only just 6 months and a little reluctant to move today, but loved the way she went when she got going. A future winner I am sure
Puppy (4)
1st:- Drady’s BroniaCelestial at Indiko. A quality class to win. A beautiful pale cream. So pretty. Moved with free flowing strides. A star to watch out for in the future. BP, BPIB & RBCC
2nd:- Stevens’s Crownlake Dream Weaver on Sidburyhill. Very similar to winner with loads of potential. Pretty, femine puppy who showed her socks off today. Another to watch I am sure.
3rd:- Bell’s Allforus Black Ice
Junior (6)
1st:- Millington’s Hedgefen Odds on Favourite for Cunannun. A difficult class to judge. Winner very pretty dapple, with good depth of chest. Moved very well with long flowing strides. A quality class to win.
2nd:- Phillips & Turner’s Fallingwater En Flique. Could have won any other day. Another free flowing mover. Did not put a foot wrong and unlucky to get beaten today
3rd:- Poole’s Findowrie Forget Me Not
Post Grad (5)
1st:- Church’s Chriskim’s Golden Ticket at Floxie. Another difficult class as not much to separate winners. Steady movement, with a lovely topline, kept at all times.
2nd:- Woodvine-Shone’s Hanishan Solar Express. Unlucky today, showed in beautiful condition. Moved really well with ease. Handled well.
Limit (6)
1st:- Way’s Ralines Ways and Mean JW. A difficult class of lovely bitches, which made it difficult for me. This girl was not very helpful for her owner, but the quality still shone through. She just did enough to win the class. BCC
2nd:- Brown’s Devoncream Mystique Jewel. Very close call with winner. I am sure they swap places often. Lovely free movement and handled well to get the best of her today
3rd:- Bell’s Indiko Cast in Cream at Tolberg
Open (8)
1st:- Holtom’s Rivandell Osha. Such a difficult class again as all were as good as each other ! This girl was a bit naughty today, but that did not hide her quality and ring presence to win the class
2nd:- Mason’s Ch Crownlakes Million Dreams. Gabriella. Unlucky for this bitch today. Could have easily changed placed with winner. Very feminine head & expression. Moved steady. Lovely front & shoulders.
3rd:- Bell’s Ch Indiko a Touch of Cream at Tolberg
Good Citizen (1)
1st:- Holtom’s Rivandell Osha. (See first in Open)
