MINIATURE WIRE HAIRED
A long day thanks for everything running on time. As usual the bitches are better in quality than the dogs. This variety is blessed with some great handlers, but nothing can be missed on the move. Soft coats seem to be the ‘in thing’, so many cut in underline on the move. I found 00% of bites acceptable. The breed seems to have come up on the leg with more ground clearance. Remember long, low and level.Hind action seems good, no kinky tails on the day. Presentation is very good, a difficult variety to run the rule over but I was pleased with my end results. Both my CC winners are by the same Drakesleat dog and both pups by the same Stargang red dog. Something to watch for. My BP and RCC winner will have a big future with time and is typical Min wire. My BOB winner filled my eye and was thrilled it was her qualifying CC! You are a jolly bunch and thank you for a lovely day.
MPD (6) 1 Dunstall’s Metcroft Dressed to Thrill. Real chunky baby. Looking the part, super head and eye, shoulders need to pull back a touch, super body and ribbing. Short loins, very well angulated behind. Sound enough for a baby, fab standing, just needing to mature and firm on the move. Promising. 2 Punter’s Welcumen Denzil. Very forward for age. Super coated chap, super head and eye. Balanced and well angled throughout. Good in profile. Another promising baby that just needs to firm in movement.3 Womble’s Emem Wind in the Willows.
PD (4) 1 Wilberg’s Kanix Duncan. Typical and so promising. Loved his head and dark pull back. Good top and underlines. Short loins, well balanced behind, so sound coming and going for one so young. Looking well in profile. Best Puppy Dog. 2 Williams’ Brytonian Clydwyn. Really chunky, nice type and well made throughout. Needs to tighten in elbows, which I’m sure he will. Hind angulation and movement a joy. 3 Wood and Hardy’s Wildstar Webster.
PGD (6) 1 Fulton’s Jonkaths Time Traveller. Was really taken with him. Appeals in head and eye. Lovely arched neck, well developed front, plenty of width here. Good ribbing, cast iron topline. Short loins, lovely angulation, firm parallel hocks. Dead sound coming and going, lovely in profile. Good reach and follow through. Typical in all respects. Between coats but more than worthy of the Res CC - he will get there. 2 Fox’s Laicsyde Napoleon Solo. Taller than the winner, but balanced and well proportioned throughout. Good head, plenty of neck. Still needs to fill in front, so sound behind and super coat. 3 Colothan and Reed’s Annsford Dust Buster.
LD (4) 1 Blackburn’s Stargang Mickey Finn. 16 months and taller than some. Head and expression really appealed. Long neck, fair shoulders and plenty of forechest. Good bone and feet. Super body proportions, short loins, ample hind angulation. In super coat and furnishings. Attractive in profile, just needing to use his quarters more on the day. One that will make it. 2 Gorton-Baker’s Axters Bindaree Von Kotch. Softer coated than the winner. Good shoulders, tight elbows, enough forechest. Body proportions good, still needs to tighten coming and going. 3 Hassall and McLeod’s Janjac Costa Packit.
OD (3) 1 Horswell’s Drakesleat Von Der Full. Not topsize, totally balanced and in proportion throughout. Super coated, gave this young man Res CC last time. Front and hind construction is so co-ordinated, everything just flows together. Not the most outgoing showman but convinced me that he was the Dog CC winner, his 2nd, well done. 2 Dunn’s, Ir Ch. Cairo’s Tight Lastic. Another nice dog. Again good head and shoulders. Super coat and condition. Not the underline of winner. Keeps topline in profile. Well presented and handled.
MPB. (8). 1. Angear’s, Backel Bouutiful for Ridgegrove. So much promise. So well constructed throughout. So typical in all respects. Everything I look for. Just how a Min wire should look. Super angulation fore and aft. Excellent ratios throughout. Super bone and feet. Ultra sound coming and going. So beautiful in outline both stacked and in profile. The one I wanted to take home. Nearly the big one. RCC and BP with the greatest of pleasure. 2. Sexton and Johnston’s, Foxearth Floozy. 7 months old baby. Really well made all through. Very good head, super angulation producing driving movement. Good reach and follow through. Very promising. 3. Fulton’s, Bothlyn Blue Whisper.
PB. (8). 1. Stockdale’s, Russteck Suckle at Stockcroft. Really fell for her. Very good head and eye. Well arched neck. Enough front. Firm topline, short loins. Still a shade untidy coming towards but dead true moving away shows great promise. Time will tell. 2. Hanney’s, Bronia Magic Wanda. Smart bitch. Lower to ground and shorter coupled. Typical type and balance. Can really move covering great coverage in profile. Fit an firm all over. 3. Minshull’s, Bryntonain Catrin.
JB. (9). Good class with three very good bitches. 1. Horswell’s, Drakesleast Why Knot. Just reminded me of the old Drakesleats that you see in past hand books. Head and expression with those dark eyes and super furnishings are to die for. Decent shoulders. Good legs and feet. Front fits well. Good body proportions. Short loins. Thick hammy quarters. Sound and stylish. Can really move. Played up in the challenge. One with a future. 2. Wilberg’s, Stargang Picket Line at Kanix. 15 months old. Another with a future. Super head, long neck which she uses so well on the move. Shade longer cast than winner, but balanced. So sound coming and going looking well at all times. Super coat. Close up. 3. Stockdale’s, Russteck Honey Suckle at Stockcroft.
PGB. (16). 1. Hayward and Sexton’s, Foxearth Fixed Asset. Very neat and well made throughout. Superbly balanced from all angles. Good head, tight shoulders and elbows. Good forechest, ribbing goes well back. Enough angulation behind. Ultra sound coming and going. Looking good in profile keeping a lovely outline. Well presented and handled. 2. East’s, Komombo Sunny Spell. Another good bitch. Super shoulders, angles spot on. Good head and eye. Plenty of forechest. Well made body. Short neat loins. Not quite the length of second thigh of winner, but balanced. A useful bitch. 3. Poxon’s, Kapodach Molly Coddle.
LB. (7). 1. Barney’s, Verrami Vera Right. Super in all respects. Typical, balanced and looks and moves how a Min wire should! Super head and furnishings. Clean shoulders. Well proportioned body, excellent ribbing. Form backline, neat well angulated rear. Firm parallel hocks. Tail well set. Sound coming and going. Flowing lines in profile. Super coat and condition. Moves at the correct speed. CC her third and BOB with pleasure. 2. Mueller’s, Rabymere Last Chances. 2 years old. Super coat and presentation. Shade longer in body. Good angles. Good head and dark points. Sound enough. Not the underline of winner. 3. Kugow and Holt’s, Waldmeister Meadow.
OB. (8). Difficult class. Many with plenty of virtues, but with points I didn’t like on the day. 2. Blackburn’s, Stargang Karaoke Queen. Super shoulders. Tight elbows. Good bone and feet. Good topline. Short loins. Moves so sound from behind. Looking well in profile. Real showgirl. 2. Angear’s, Ridgegrove Gingham Doll. Super head, very good shoulders. Tight elbows, firm topline. Soundly made behind, keeps good outline at all times. Well presented. 3. Wilberg’s, Ch. Kanix Audrey.
BRACE. (2). 1. Punter. Well matched pair moving so well together.
