MINIATURE WIRE HAIRED
There were a number of exhibits who were nervous, very worrying. It is very expensive showing at Championship level and the judge has only a limited amount of time to assess each dog, so if he or she wriggles on the table and moves erratically they spoil their chances. Do please take advantage of your local weekly ring craft classes also a brisk, collected 20 minutes daily walk works wonders.
PD. (12). 1. Horswell’s, Drakeslate Vincent Van Goff. Youngster with classic outline standing. Loads of substance and depth. Loved his hindquarters, had good length of second thigh. CC and BOB and G4. 2. Blackburn’s, Kanix Hugo to Stargang. Another with super outline. Not as settled as winner. Two lovely pups. Interesting for the future. 3. Angear’s, Ridgegrove Coller and Cuffs.
JD. (3). 1. Angear’s, Ridgegrove Cloth Cap. A very smart youngster in a great hurry to get there. Well filled front and good forechest. 2. Billinghurst’s, Nordach Mr Show off at Jiljac. Needs more time to get used to this world of ours. 3. Moss’s, Roselle Luke Skywalker.
PGD. (5). 1. Womble’s, Emem Wind in the Willows. Moved with drive and purpose. Hard coat and very clean outline. 2. Smith’s, Dunns Pitts Supa Smiff. Not the length of winner. Similar in coat. 3. Dunstall’s, Metcroft Dressed to Thrill.
LD. (3). 1. Baldwin’s, Beckel Blueprint. Super hind movement. Well filled front. Covered the ground well. 2. Fulton’s, Jonkaths Time Traveller to Bothlyn JW. Different type to winner. Needs more substance. 3. Banks and Douglas’s, Torabbi Welsh Malt Sh CM.
OD. (3). 1. Wilberg’s, Ch. Kanix Duncan. Extremely smart and masculine exhibit on the move, used everything he had. RCC. 2. Thorn-Andrews’, Drakesleat Otto Bahn. Another of very similar type.
PB. (16). 1. Blackburn’s, Kanix Hilda at Stargang. An example of training and good handling this puppy gave her all. Well filled front, level topline. Correct length of second thigh. Short hocks. RCC. 2. MacDonough’s, Varrich Strathislay. Loved this baby who is correct in so many ways. Would benifit from ringcraft and roadwork. 3. Rees’, Nordach Arent I Loveli.
JB. (12). 1. Wilberg’s, Stargang Kanit be Kanix. Stood out in this class. Loved her type. Level topline. Another with good length of second thigh. Very pleasing head and expression. 2. Brechin and Herbert’s, Stargang Mystic Charm. Smart well moving bitch of different type to winner. Well filled front. 3. Fulton’s, Bothlyn Singing the Blues.
PGB. (14). 1. Kemp’s, Metcroft Some Like it Hot at Vossmead. I found this red bitch intriguing. Dachshund in miniature with true movement coming and going. Calm and mature. Stood four square. 2. Blackburn’s, Stargang Photo Finnish. Gorgeous type. So well constructed. A little uneasy. 3. Howells’, Nordach Dare I Wispa.
LB. (8). 1. Sexton and Hayward’s, Foxearth Fixed Asset. Smart, sound well moving bitch who kept her outline at all times. CC. 2. Freer and Rodgers’, Loretto Finnishing Touch to Montravia. Bitch with lovely well filled front. Stood four square. Moved soundly. 3. Wilberg’s, Stargang Picket Line at Kanix.
OB. (2). 1. Thorn-Andrews’, Dunnspitts Kwite Kute Drakesleat. Good outline with level topline and good underline. Plenty of substance. 2. Thorn-Andrews’, Ch. Drakesleat Lettuce Owt. Another with well filled front and stood four square. Different outline to winner.
