Thank you to my able stewards and The WKC for such an enjoyable day. Some of the puppies had untidy dentition; these extra teeth need removing. It’s like watching an Olympic sprint in the mini wire ring these days; unfortunately this makes the dogs move with a flying gait, not often to their advantage!

MPD (4) 1 Presnail’s Taree Lauriston, lovely puppy, good head and dark pigment, stood well but wouldn’t cooperate on the move; 2 Miller’s Palsuz Little Red Devil, nice head and size, good coat but lacking in confidence; 3 Hunt’s Earthsea Sizzling Sausage.

PD (4) 1 Thorn-Andrews’ Drakesleat Rolling Stone, super outline with good head and clean shoulders, holds topline on the move with well angulated hindquarters. BP; 2 Shaw’s Clinant Happy Harry, nice puppy with promising future, lovely head, dark eye, correct coat, good bone. Just needs to tighten in front; 3 Hassall and McLeod’s Sidelock Formula One.

JD (4) 1 Kugow and Holt’s Waldmeister Henry, balanced stallion hound with good proportions and clean lines, well laid shoulders and oval front, thick padded feet, level topline and strong rearend, covers the ground well. CC; 2 Howells’ Fallowmill Je Ronnie Mo, good coated dog, well developed chest and straight front moved out well. Not the underline of 1; 3 Puckett’s Molloney Willy Wayme.

PGD (1) 1 Howell’s Fallowmill Nutz about Toffy, didn’t have time to settle as alone, needs to fine down as he looks cobby but good bone and well presented.

LD (5) 1 Thorn-Andrews’ Skootamota Sukka of Drakesleat, strong classic head, well filled oval chest, nice level topline, good length of ribbing and well angulated hindquarters. RCC; 2 Smith’s Dunnspitts Zakajak, stylish dog a little underdressed with nice head and depth of chest but not the length of 1; 3 Rees’ Nordach Hello Mr Wispa.

OD (3) 1 Blackburn’s Ch Stargang Malachite, very showy dog, excellent coat, good bone, well placed shoulders, held topline on the move; 2 Kugow and Holt’s Waldmeister Jackson, nice head, good coat, moved out well, slightly higher on leg than 1. Lovely hard condition; 3 Hayward’s Foxearth News Flash.

MPB (4,1) 1 Blackburn-Bennett’s Stargang Diamond Star , elegant puppy, well laid shoulders, good length of body and neat hindquarters; 2 Punter’s Welcumen Temptation, sweet feminine bitch, good pigment and coat texture, flowing neck and tight front looking very much a baby; 3 Brumbill’s Foxearth Fraudulence for Chicrest.

PB (6,2) 1 Blackburn’s Stargang Tuesdays Child, lovely puppy with good overall balance, nice forechest and neat shoulders, level topline. BPB; 2 Shaw’s Rotella Remember, nice headed bitch with good construction. Needs to step out more and level off when standing; 3 Rees’ Nordach Huff N Puff.

JB (5,1) 1 McLeod’s Sidelock Do I Look Bovvered, good bone and feet, level topline, short hocks, moved well; 2 Barney’s Verrami Kitsch N Cinque, lovely head and strong body, good length of ribbing. Still needs to muscle up in hindquarters; 3 Minshull’s Sidelock Ruby Tuesday.

PGB (5,2) 1 Williams and Rose’s Tythe Gwenno, mature bitch with strong body, well filled front and good angulation. Not overenthusiastic on the move; 2 Kugow and Holt’s Waldmeister Guillemot, nicely put together with good neck and shoulders, level topline and super pin wire coat. Needs to fill in underneath; 3 Howells’ Fallowmill Clarissa.

LB (7,1) 1 Presnail’s Taree Ithaca, lovely head and neck, well laid shoulders giving her super front movement, good spring of rib holding firm topline with well rounded rump. RCC; 2 Miles’ Gunnrange Ophelia at Jaybiem, good type, slightly larger mould than 1. Needs to watch her show pose as she drops her topline when standing; 3 Baldwin’s Beckel Lets Boogie.

OB (6,2) 1 Fulton’s Ch Bothlyn Penny Black, what a super bitch, long, low and level, absolute quality, loved everything about her. CC and BOB; 2 Hayward’s Foxearth Foto Copy, nice bitch with excellent wire coat, depth of chest and length of ribbing. Slightly narrow throughout; 3 Thorn-Andrews’ Drakesleat On Croot.
