MINIATURE WIRE HAIRED
MPD 1 Presnail’s Taree Nelson. 6-month-old of pleasing make
and shape and type I like. Quality head shape, eye and expression. Well
constructed forequarters with obvious forechest, true front and tight elbows.
Impressive balanced profile with just enough length of body and angulations
front and rear. Moved with confidence with true action both coming and going. 2
Whitehouse’s Rioban Camon Bert. 7-month-old who also is of pleasing type and
overall shape. Pleasing head proportions and shape with good ears and set which
gives an attractive typy expression. He is nicely constructed in front and rear
with good overall body. He needs to tighten, which I am sure will come with
maturity, to fulfil his potential and promise. 3 Kirkwood’s Waldmeister Gordo at
Helydon.
PD 1 Barney’s Molloney and Again Verrami. Well made 11-month-old that
is balanced in profile and possesses a lovely head and expression. Good front
and forequarters with legs well under and nice tight elbows and ideal width all
through. Body having good spring, depth and ribbed well back. He has a firm
topline with good angulations and width behind. Moved out with a free true
action but would like more enthusiasm. BPD. 2 Way’s Sudasam Mayisujest. One that
needs to settle to give off his best and to compliment his pleasing
construction. Lovely typy head shape and expression. True front with obvious
forechest and having good width. Good ribbing, length, spring and depth. He
possesses good overall body length with a good topline and nicely let down
hindquarters. Moved out well but a little reticent. 3 Miller’s Bothlyn Black
Raven at Sharplaw.
JD 1 Thorn-Andrews’ Drakesleat Win a Lot. A quality male of
just 12-months-old. He impresses with his balanced profile and overall
proportions. Super head and ears set on a strong neck of good length. Well
constructed front and forequarters. Well made body, firm topline and sound
angulated hindquarters of pleasing parallel width. Needs to stand firm but was
the soundest mover of the class which he took forward to the challenge and
gained him the RDCC. 2 Shaw’s Cilnant Happy Harry. Mature 17-month-old of the
make and shape I like. He stands firm on sound feet and legs of ideal length.
True front of pleasing width with good forechest and ribbing. Lovely expression
with a typy head set on a neck of good shape and length flowing onto a firm body
and topline. Balanced in angulations front and rear. Attractive standing profile
but was a little loose in front on the move. 3 Miller’s Palsuz Little Red Devil.
PGD 1 Hassall and McLeod’s Sidelock Formula One. Lovely shaped
2-year-old that has an attractive head, lovely dark eye, with nicely set ears,
all of which go together to give him a super expression. Well constructed all
through with a sound true front, strong neck of good length, firm, level
topline. He has an eye-catching balanced side profile. Needs to mature in coat.
Moved out well and purposefully. 2 Price’s Samlane Tetley. Another nicely
constructed junior who is also pleasing in profile and overall balance. Nicely
shaped head, good dark eye and good ears but tended to lose his expression due
to lack of confidence. I liked his front and forequarters, overall body and
topline. He has good width and angulations front and rear. Moved out freely and
with true action. 3 Oram’s Rosswell Luciano.
LD 1 Wilberg’s Kanix Oscar. Super quality 18-month-old mature male who
looks to be in his prime. Very attractive head shape and expression, full of
breed qualities. He is soundly constructed all through but he is particularly
well made in front and forequarters. He has ideal balance in angulations front
and rear, eye catching profile with, for me, an ideal height to length ratio
with enough length in leg to be close to ground but be fit for purpose. An easy
mover with a free, accurate action having plenty of drive and extension. My DCC
winner. 2 Kugow and Holt’s Waldmeister Henry JW. Similar in make and shape and
qualities to my 1st but lost out to an exibit in tip top condition. Very typy in
head qualities, lovely expression. Strong neck of good shape and length, set on
to well placed shoulders and firm body, which is of pleasing length and firm
condition. He makes an attractive picture both standing and on the move. 3
Thorn-Andrew’s Drakesleat Rolling Stone.
OD 1 Blackburn’s Ch Stargang Malachite. Dark brindle mature male in
firm condition and having good, harsh coat. One who has personality plus.
Pleasing overall make and shape. Attractive typy head carried proudly on a
strong, muscular, lengthy neck. Well made forequarters with obvious prominent
breastbone. Body of ideal overall length with plenty of depth and spring, ribbed
well back. Firm level topline. Strong well muscled hindquarters, parallel and of
good width. Moved freely but disappointed as not as settled in the challenge as
the CC and RCC winners. 2 Horswell and Iwama’s Ch/Jap Ch Drakesleat Jp Trier
Winshoten (Imp Jap). Super masculine male who has soundness in front and
forequarter construction plenty wide enough. Pleasing head and expression, good
neck flowing into well laid shoulders and sound body and topline. Balanced in
angulations front and rear but tended to be close behind. Moved out freely with
plenty of enthusiasm but needed to settle, especially in rear action. 3
Hopgood’s Dunnspitts Artful Dodger.
MPB 1 Howell’s Fallowmill India. A quality constructed 7-month-old very
promising youngster who has the potential soundness of construction to mature
into something special. Super headpiece and expression, good length in neck and
set on a great body with lovely topline. Noteable correct coat texture. Really
good balanced profile with pleasing angulations front and rear, with especially
good width and strength in hindquarters. Moved well and free with confidence and
purpose. BPIB. 2 Spencer’s Bannonbrig Maisie Blue. Another very promising
quality 7-month-old who is of the make, shape and type I like but preferred the
overall package of 1st. Attractive head and eye with good neck and body.
Pleasing in topline, profile and balance. Moved well with true front extension
and parallel drive behind. 3 Kugow and Holt’s Waldmeister Steffi.
PB 1 Spencer’s Bannonbrig Gracie Blue. Litter sister to the 2nd in the
previous class and same quality and comments apply. I particularly liked her
head and expression. She was a little out of coat but nonetheless her overall
good conformation achieved the recognition deserved. The positives were her good
head, neck, body, ribbing, topline and balanced angulations. The negatives were
her coat and that she was unsettled on the move and did not give off what I am
sure she is capable of. 2 Billinghurst’s Drakesleat Russia Bout at Jiljac. One
who was giving her handler a hard time but her attributes could not go
unnoticed. I liked her overall type and make; she has a good length, well shaped
head with nicely set broad ears which all together provides an appealing, alert
expression. Pleasing body depth and length with broad and strong hindquarters.
She moved out well and true. 3 Hassall and McLeod’s Sidelock Miss Dameena.
JB 1 Horswell’s Drakesleat Knot On Yer Nelly. 14-month-old, well
constructed young bitch having lovely make and shape. Super head and
forequarters assembly. Firm body having depth and length with a short, strong
loin. Balanced in proportions and angulations which gave an appealing profile
both standing and on the move. Was a little unsure of her surroundings today
which made her unsettled while moving but achieved enough to win the class. 2
Punter’s Welcumen Temptation. Another 14-month-old nicely constructed junior. A
good ‘Honest’ bitch having all the essentials but with nothing in exaggeration.
Lovely overall shape, pleasing head but would prefer more furnishings. Good,
firm topline, well bodied with firm, broad, nicely let down hindquarters. She
moved out with a free easy action. 3 Blackburn-Bennett’s Stargang Diamond Star.
PGB 1 Howell’s Fallowmill Poca Hon Tis. 17-month-old mature bitch that
had a particularly lovely profile. She is so well constructed having a typy head
and expression which I preferred to 2nd. Firm in body with correct angulations
front and rear. She has a true sound front of ideal width and a strong, full,
nicely let down hindquarters which are broad enough with legs set parallel.
Moved out free and true with plenty of purpose. 2 Mackenzie’s Stargang True Blue
At Tysar. 2-year-old similar in make and shape to 1st. She has good length in
neck and a pleasing well made body with a firm topline. Stands on good feet and
true sound legs. Pleasing in overall body length and proportions with
complimentary angles front and rear. Moved out well with a free action. 3
Rathbone’s Brialind Cherry Pye.
LB 1 Marston-Teal’s Lordscairnie Love Diamond. Rising 2? year-old
mature, well made bitch having a particularly good head and expression. Lovely
type and impressed on the move which was the best of this class. Soundly
constructed in front with a firm body of good length and strong, level topline.
She has a good coat texture and lovely overall condition. Strong, well let down,
broad hindquarters which she used well on the move. 2 Wilberg’s Stargang Coco at
Kanix. Quality 3-year-old, mature in outlook with a super profile. Balanced in
profile and has good angulation front and rear. Obvious prominent sternum and
well made forequarters. She has good length with ribbing well back, spring and
depth. In good coat, condition with typical coat texture. I liked her typy well
shaped head and eye. Good furnishings. She moved out with purpose and true but
heavy action in front but with drive and width behind. 3 Thorn-Andrew’s
Drakesleat Phoar By Phoar.
OB 1 Thorn-Andrew’s Drakesleat Miss Suebishy. Quality
2-year-old mature bitch that excels in breed type, which she combines with sound
conformation. She has icing on the cake with her excellent coat texture and
furnishings. Super head and expression, muscular neck of good length, set on
broad, well laid shoulders and flowing to a firm body, with strong level
topline. She has soundness in front and rear angulations with ideal width in
front and full, broad hindquarters. She portrays a sound balanced picture both
standing and moving . My BCC winner and BOB and later Hound Group 2. 2
Blackburn’s Stargang Beau Belle. Another super, well constructed bitch although
only 14-months-old has the look of sound, firm maturity. She has many of the
same attributes of 1st but just preferred the strength behind of 1st. Good
forechest and true sound front which was used to her advantage on the move. She
had purpose and extension in front movement and drive behind. My RBCC winner. 3
Wilberg’s Kanix Mary.
