MINIATURE WIREHAIRED
I was surprised to find a few poor temperaments in this lovely breed, several
level bites, two with round bottom jaws and one dog snapped at me on the table
when I tried to open its mouth, not acceptable. On the plus side I was very
pleased with all my winners.
MPD (2,1) 1 Blackburn’s Stargang Tigers Eye. Super brindle baby of 6
months, delightful temperament and so steady on the move. Loved his head and
expression, lovely front, nice topline and quarters, handled to get the very
best from him. Must have a rosy future when mature.
PD (4,2) 1 Presnail’s Taree Nelson. 10 month old brindle with pin wire
coat, lovely outline stacked, good head, super neck, excellent forehand, good
quarters, kept lovely outline on the move. 2 Sheridan & Williams’s Wyndsmoor
Mister Chips. 10 month D/Brindle of nice shape, good head and expression,
topline and quarters OK. Tail a little gay on the move which spoilt his side
gait but he moved sound.
JD (2,1) 1 Thorn Andrews’ Drakesleat Win Alot. Lovely 16 month brindle
boy, super head with dark expressive eyes, very good neck into correct shoulders
with good length of upper arm. Strong topline into super quarters which he uses
so well on the move. Very smart in all departments. CC.
PGD (5) 1 Shaw’s Cilnant Happy Harry. Nice brindle boy with
good head and excellent temperament, good coat texture, nice front and feet,
correct topline and strong quarters, well handled and won this class on his
sound movement. 2 Puckett’s Mulloney Willy Wayne. This brindle was lower to
ground than 1 but not the temperature, liked his head and expression, had good
body shape, nice quarters and was sound on the move. 3 Sheridan & Williams’s
Wynsdmoor Son of Crinkles.
LD (3,1) 1 Black’s Bassodon Bilbie. Lovely type brindle boy, good head,
nice front assembly, good feet, shoulders correct, topline strong with good
quarters and free movement. 2 Hooper’s Starhill Kings Rhapsody. Light brindle
with pleasing head, front assembly OK but slightly over the quarters when
stacked, moved sound.
OD (5) 1 Horswell & Iwama’s Ch & Jap Ch Drakesleat JP Trier
Winshoten (Imp). Well known Ch of super breed type, liked everything about him
and it was a hard decision between him and his son. Res CC. 2 Kugow & Holt’s
Waldmeister Henry. Liked this boy a lot, this breeder certainly has some lovely
stock, shown in hard condition with a delightful outgoing temperament. Lovely
head and expression, excels in body shape, topline and quarters, moved with real
drive. 3 Smith’s Dunnspitts Zakajak.
MPB (5) 1 Dunn’s Barrantini Bumble at Ashbridge. Quality B/Brindle with
super head, lovely neck, good front and feet, topline strong, quarters good,
really smart on the move and very well handled. 2 Lancaster & Miller’s Pellismer
‘Sno Bigdeal. Nice type puppy, similar type to 1, lovely head and expression,
coat of good texture, looked classy when stacked and moved well round the ring.
Well handled. 3 Hunt’s Marvellous Mischief at Earthsea.
PB (13,1) What a super class of Puppy Bitches. 1 Kugow & Holt’s
Waldmeister Steffi. This 10 month old brindle caught my eye as soon as she
entered the ring in this very big class and did not disappoint when handled on
the table, hands just flowed, lovely head and dark expressive eyes, good neck,
excellent shoulders, strong topline into very good quarters, harsh coat, well
toned body, very feminine but with good bone, add to that her true flowing
movement and very sound temperament I just loved her and was pleased to award
her the CC. (I believe her send). BP & BOB. 2 Howell’s Fallowmill India. This 10
month old bitch was quite a delight to handle on the table, pleasing head, very
nice front topline and tail set. She looked all of a piece when stacked and was
so sound on the move. Well handled. 3 Sheridan’s Wynsdmoor Miss Crinkles.
JB (8,3) 1 Robert’s Drakesleat Win’er Take All to Swansford.
Lived this brindle girl, super head and front, correct shoulders and topline,
strong quarters, looked good front all angles while moving and very well
handled, must have a bright future. 2 Thorn Andrews’ Drakesleat Winsum Luseum.
Sister to 1 and the Dog CC winner and by my RCC Dog Winner. What a litter than
must have been. Lovely bitch my notes just said so similar in type to winner.
These two I am sure will change places many times. 3 Hayward’s Foxearth Feeling.
PGB (6) 1 Blackburn’s Stargang Jo Lo. Lovely type, good
outline when stacked on the table, liked her head and expressive eyes, good
neck, correct shoulders, topline firm, quarters good, well handled and kept a
good outline when moving. Sound. 2 Howell’s Followmill Poca Hon Tis. Liked this
one, very similar to winner and made a very nice pair going round. Head is good,
body shape good, feminine but with substance, well handled and sound moving. 3
Oram’s Janjac Moschina at Rosswell.
LB (6,1) 1 Horswell’s Drakesleat Knot On Yer Nelly. Very good head on
this brindle which together with her sound movement helped to win her this
class. Hands flowed well over her on the table. Fine size with good bone, excels
in front assembly, topline is strong and quarters good, looked well from all
angles on the move. 2 Black & Black’s Bassodon Dita Von Teese. Similar type to
1. Super head with dark eyes, excellent front and feet, good neck, firm topline
and well angulated quarters, moved and handled well. 3 Kugow & Holt’s
Waldmeister Guillemot JW.
OB (6,3) 1 Blackburn’s Stargang Beau Belle. Lovely bitch so good in
outline I loved her on the table, so good to handle. Lovely head and expression,
lengthy neck, excellent forehand, good ribbing and strong well angulated
quarters, free and sound movement, earned her the Res CC to the outstanding
puppy. 2 Wilberg’s Stargang Coco At Kanix. Similar type to the winner but more
on the leg, nice outline stacked and sound moving. Well handled to get the very
best from her. Lovely temperament. 3 Thorn Andrews Drakesleat Miss Suebishy.
