DACHSHUND - MINIATURE WIRE HAIRED

I enjoyed judging Miniature Wires again and was pleased with the overall quality. It was disappointing that no puppies were present, but on the plus side, there were several promising youngsters in the junior classes.

JD(4, 1) 1 Kugow &Holt's Waldmeister Johnson. Well made brindle lad of 12 months, in hard condition and very mature for age, lovely masculine head, dark eye, reachy neck and well placed shoulders, good ribbing and strong well made rear, good bone and feet, excellent wire jacket, moved soundly with freedom and drive, lovely head carriage and super outgoing temperament. 2 Phillips' Curtisey Boogy Woogy. Very smart 12 months d/brindle in excellent crisp jacket, still immature but of a lovely make and shape, pleased in front construction, arched neck, good ribbing and quarters, little unsettled at first after being rushed in the ring, but when he found his feet, moved and showed well, went even better in the next class to win post grad, lovely prospect, should do well. 3 Puckett's Foxearth Free As A Bird.

PGD(4) 1 Phillips' Curtisey Boogy Woogy. 2 Kugow &Holt's Waldmeister Samuel JW. Excellent coated brindle, very masculine in outlook, super head and expression, good neck and body proportions, good ribbing and depth of chest, well muscled rear, just preferred the angulation of first, moved out smartly and a good showman. 3 Hassall's Stargang Vegas Strip.

LD(2) 1 Howell's Fallowmill Back & Fetch JW ShCM. Ultra smart brindle of excellent type, pleasing in outline and lovely to go over, good bone and substance, nice shaped masculine head, good well filled front, well ribbed body, good quarters and neat hocks, moved very soundly with a free easy stride, nice crisp jacket, liked him a lot. 2 Way's Sudasam Mayisujest. Well presented brindle of a pleasing make and shape with good bone and feet, loved his head and expression, good neck, neat front, nice ribbing and quarters, just preferred the overall shape and topline of first, has excellent texture to jacket, moved and showed ok.

OD(4) 1 Thorn Andrews' Ch Drakesleat Win Alot. Impressive brindle, full of quality, well put together and lovely to go over, super masculine head with lovely expression, reachy neck, excellent front assembly with good shoulder and upper arm, scored in top and underline with ribbing well carried back, short loin and well developed quarters, lovely harsh jacket, super mover, so sound away and back with great freedom in profile, has great style and presence. CC, BOB and Group 3. 2 Dance's Deepdax Overdraft To Far Emem Ir J Ch. Handsome d/brindle boy, lovely for size and type, very smart in outline, soundly constructed with well filled front, good depth and spring of rib, well angulated rear, has lovely wire jacket, super masculine head, good bone and neat feet, moved very soundly with a free easy stride, well handled and in tip top condition. JB(10) Super class of quality youngsters. 1 Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Fodge Cake. Stylish Young lady, lovely for size and type, good bone and substance, neat feet and lovely wire jacket, well constructed throughout with balanced angulation fore and aft, good ribbing and topline, moved really well with both forward reach and drive, smashing outgoing temperament. 2 Thorn Andrews' Drakesleat Ott Favourite. Delightful 12 month d/brindle out of the top drawer, and lovely to go over, super for type and quality, in good harsh coat and lovely condition, excellent front construction, well sprung ribs and strong rear, moved soundly, a lovely prospect, liked her a lot. 3 Price's Samlane Zaffiro.

PGB(3, 1) 1 Blackburn's Stargang Moll Flanders. Immaculately presented brindle in lovely coat and condition, pleasing overall shape, pretty feminine head, good neck and front construction, well ribbed body, nicely angulated quarters with neat hocks, moved with reach and drive keeping a smart outline. 2 Mobley's Samlane What Else Of Jakanem. Dark brindle with lots to like, well put together and neat all through, houndy head with pleasing expression, good body and coat, happy girl who moved and showed well.

LB(6) 1 Angear's Ridgegrove Diamond Doll. Stylish brindle who presented a super well balanced outline, attractive head with good furnishing, nice eye with appealing expression, shapely body with lengthy ribbing and well filled forechest, well angulated rear, good turn of stifle and neat hocks, moved out soundly with good reach and drive, excellent texture to coat, happy showgirl. Res CC. 2 Hooper's Starhill Comedy Of Errors. Good honest bitch with everything in the right place, loved her head and expression, reachy neck, good front and firm topline, nice depth of chest, good ribbing and quarters, moved well, liked her a lot, just preferred overall shape of first. 3 Marston-Tal's Lordscainie Love Of My Life.

OB(7) Hotly contested class of quality bitches and I was spoilt for choice. 1 Thorn Andrews' Drakesleat Rupee Wax. Delightful young lady who caught my eye immediately and for me she is absolutely lovely, very feminine, of a lovely size, type and super in outline, beautiful head and eye, arched neck, well filled oval front, deep chest and long ribbing, good top and underline, well angulated quarters with short hocks and neat feet, very sound on the move with a free, easy stride, in tip top condition and super wire jacket, a star in the making. CC, her first. 2 Blackburn's Ch Stargang Beau Belle. Lovely bitch from this kennel and very nice to go over, super for type and quality, well made throughout, in good coat and condition, excellent front construction, good ribbing and quarters, moved with freedom and drive, just preferred head of first, close decision and worthy champion. 3 Dance's Ir Ch Emen Sunny Spells.
