MINIATURE WIRE HAIRED

A very nice entry and all exhibits were well behaved. 98% had full dentition and all had correct bite, but there were a lot of teeth that needed to be cleaned. There was also a lot of round eyes which takes away from the expression. Coats varied, some were too soft and I was looking for that great harsh coat that they should have. Some exhibits were too low with short legs which could not give them ground clearance. PGD. (3,3). 1. Russteck Dandelion. Well presented young dog. Good head and eye shape. Good harsh coat. Full dentition and excellent bite. Good reach of neck and length of body. Moved well. 2. Portalutra De-Fiant. Nice head but eye a bit too round. Coat lets him down which should benefit with regular stripping out. 3. Drakesleat Brass Doff. OD. (1,1). 1. Ch. Russteck Fillibeg JW. Another nice exhibit from this kennel. Great head and expression with well shaped eye. Good harsh coat. Great length of neck into well placed shoulders. Good rear angulation and length of body. Could really cover the ground. A worthy Champion. BD. PB. (3,2). 1. Stargang Moll Flanders. I understand at her first show and what a show girl. Just loved her. Wonderful head and expression. Good front and shoulders. Good length of rib. Level topline and well angulated stifles with nice short hocks. A bit longer in the leg which meant she could really cover the ground. She has a really great harsh coat and best of all she was enjoying herself. BB, BOB and BP. 2. Kimberholme Solitaire. Another nice puppy. Good head but a bit round in the eye. Coat still a bit soft, but it should improve with time and stripping. Moved well. NB. (1,1). 1. Stargang Fudge Cake. Still just a puppy but really nice to go over. Good head and well shaped eye. Good reach of neck into well placed shoulders. A bit short in the leg than I like which made her really low to the ground. Preferred the clearance her kennel mate had. PGB. (2,2). 1. Varrich Lilo Lil. Good head but again a bit too round in the eye which for me spoils the expression. Nice mover with a level topline. Coat could be harsher. 2. Lustrum Bunch of Thyme. Nicely made and moved well. Coat could be better. LB. (5,5). 1. Russteck Perchance to Dream. Good head and eye shape with good reach of neck. Good coat. Nicely balanced throughout and kept her topline on the move. 2. Drakesleat Material Girl at Kanstul. Close up on the winner but coat let her down. Good head and expression. Level topline. Moved well. 3. Russteck Melody at Kimberholme. OB. (2,2). 1. Ch. Bothlyn Penny Black. Nice head and expression. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders. Good length of rib and well angulated stifles. Good harsh coat. Just didn't keep her topline when on the move on the day. RBB. 2. Kanix Linda at Emmajesk JW Sh CM. Good head and expression. Really liked this girl. Good balance overall and good coat. Sadly her teeth need urgent attention if she is to keep them.
