Miniature Wirehaired
Dachshunds It was a pleasure to judge at this well run show. When I
last judged I mentioned round eyes , there were some today. Mouths were
stronger but teeth in some exhibits were not clean and some had nails needing
attention. Whilst conformation is the main consideration these points should
not be ignored by exhibitors. MPD (6,1) A very good class. 1
Steward`s Bassodon Dolce: smart puppy of correct proportions; strong head into
lovely arched neck; front well placed; kept a good outline when moving. This
was his and his owner's first show so well done with the handling. 2
Whitehouse's Alshtadt Kinder Surprise: another with a lot to like, beautiful
expression and eye, balanced front, strong movement for a puppy and well boned.
3 Black's Bassodon Westwood. PD (3) 1 Thorn-Andrews' Drakesleat Rin Tin Tin:
BPD: strong head with dark almond eye; well developed body with strong loin
into a good turn of stifle, feet well arched. Moved out well. 2 Asdown's
Standach Play with Madness: different type to 1, the noise unsettled him I
think, he did not move as well in front. An excellently presented coat, good
outline in profile. 3 Phillips Shine A Light Diervilla of Robinswood.
JD (4) 1 Blackburn`s Stargang Crusoe: close decision between 1 and 2.
1 is well boned with strong forechest, good length on ribbing and loin, moved
well going, coming and in profile. Coat well presented. 2 Billinghurst's Jiljac
Tsar Very Much JW, again well boned, good head (very expressive) with dark
almond eye, strong arched neck into well placed shoulders. Strong rear movement
keeping a good outline, top and underline. 3 Hunt`s Earthsea Pocket Rocket.
PGD (3,1) 1 Presnail's Taree Selwyn: very smart dog with tight
coat. Balanced head, good shoulder placement, correct ribbing to loin
proportion, good underline. Shown in hard condition on tight strong feet-
flowed round the ring. 2-Neate`s Beaucat Chedda George: very fidgety, not
liking the noise. Head strong, shoulders ok, good ribbing, body a little loose.
Good coat which needs a little attention. LD (3) 1 Corner's
Holrik Mister Mischief: good head, strong neck into well placed shoulders, well
bodied with muscled croup. Harsh coat. Moved out so well, despite his good
tailset he lifted his tail while moving -a very happy boy. 2 Buckle & Flower's
Bingobongo Gregory: Reserve in Junior; he was much more settled in this class.
Has a houndy head, good bone and coat. Moved out strongly in this class. 3
Neate's Beaucat Exfactor. OD (10,2) A class of quality dogs, a
pleasure to judge. 1 Dance's Deepdax Overdraft Too Far Emem: DCC, BOB: proudly
carried head with dark eye; arched neck into well placed shoulders. Height to
body correct proportions. Well sprung ribs, short strong loin. A delight to see
him move out so strongly keeping a good top and underline. Coat presented
correctly. Well handled. 2 Horswell's Drakesleat Noddy Doff: RCC: houndy head
with dark almond eye; well placed shoulders, good ribbing, strong loin and turn
of stifle. Once settled he moved out well. 3 Ch. Waldmeister Johnson JW.
MPB (9,2) Both puppy classes were full of potential; good for
the future. 1 Rathbone's Fraulein Giselle At Brialind. RCC: beautiful minor
puppy, solid as a rock. Feminine head, shoulders well placed, correct
proportion of height to body. Good ribbing and short loin. Strong croup and
good tailset. Kept her top and underline when she moved. Harsh coat. 2 Jones'
Bimini Out Of The Blue: smaller type to 1 and being fidgety, excusable in a
baby. Balanced throughout which showed on the move. 3 Adam's Scarlett Red
Diervilla in Angelholm. PB (9,1) Such a strong class. 1
Thorn-Andrews' Drakesleat May Contain Nuts: CC BPB BPIB: strong head with dark
eye, well arched neck into proportioned shoulders. Ribbing to loin correct,
good tailset, well muscled rear. Kept a good top and underline on the move. 2
Fulton`s Bothlyn Penny Wise: very feminine head with very dark almond eye. Good
shoulders and ribbing, strong body with good muscle, good rear which she used
well on the move. Coat immaculate as was presentation. 3 Marston-Teal's
Lordscairnie Look Of Love. JB (6,2) 1 Settle's Araedan Bielbiebub:
needed time to settle but a balanced little girl once she did. Well placed
shoulders, good body, strong rear she used to move out well. Sympathetically
handled. 2 Hunt's Earthseas Dark Sorcery: a little unsettled; strong head, well
sprung ribs and good bone. Coat just on the turn. Moved well. 3 Kelly's Rioban

tailset which she used to advantage on the move. 2 Balckburn-Bennet's Stargang
Czarina: balanced head, strong dentition, gentle eye. Good ribbing and loin.
Used her well balanced rear to move out strongly keeping her topline and
underline. 3 Barney's Verrami Domestic Godess. OB (6) 1
