I was delighted at the vast improvement in this variety since I last judged them.

MPD (3) 1 Howell’s Fallowmill In The Doghouse, brindle, lovely head & expression, good mouth, nice tight fitting elbows & neat front which hopefully will fill in & give a little more pro-sternum. Good shoulder placement, well ribbed, won this class on his sound movement & clean topline; 2 Russell’s Boogie Knight at Russteck, preferred the overall type of this exhibit but not as soundly made as 1; 3 Shine A Light Diervilla of Robinswood. PD (4) 1 Blackburn’s Stargang Crusoe, lovely outline, beautifully assembled front & shoulder, excels in rear angulation, a little soft in topline on the move but this should settle with maturity, very promising youngster. BPD; 2 Morrisons & Peel’s Benzden Izzy Myaue, lovely outline, balanced & all of a piece, sound front & shoulder assembly. Not as sound in rear action as 1; 3 Boogie Knight at R. JD & ND (0). PGD (1) 1 Baxter’s Hotwire Didja Ever, good texture & well presented. Lacks a little in angulation both ends but has overall balance & moves soundly. LD (4) 1 Kugow & Holt’s Waldermeister Johnson, a very striking young man who has attitude & showed his socks off, lovely head & expression, good reach of neck, well placed shoulders, good length of sternum & ribbing. Would prefer a touch more rear angulation. Movement, coat & muscletone was excellent. CC, his 3rd; 2 Horswell’s Drakesleat Noddy Doff, sound exhibit, moves out well, just unfortunate to meet 1 on such top form; 3 Stargang Vegas Strip. OD (4) 1 Fulton’s Bothlyn Brigadoon, lovely shape & outline, well balanced, excellent front & shoulder, moves soundly & keeps a good topline on the move. Just felt he was a little too low to ground. RCC; 2 Thorn-Andrews’ Ch Fellismere Deal To Win Drakesleat, good coat & well presented as were all from this kennel, good free flowing movement but not the front of 1; 3 Drakesleat Ottoff The Press.

MPB (1) 1 Dunstall’s Metcroft Pink String, very much a baby, lovely head & neck, shoulders OK, front coming nicely, strong coat & good presentation. Needs to get her head up on the move which would enhance her outline. PB (3) 1 Dakin’s Barratini Hot Gossip, very promising youngster who is so well on for age, pleasing head, reachy neck, well placed shoulders, sound front, good ribbing & well coupled, look forward to following her progress; 2 Fulton’s Bothlyn Penny Wise, very petite elegant young lady who has all the essentials except her coat; 3 Lordscairnie Look Of Love. JB (4) 1 Blackburn Bennet’s Stargang Czarina, red, lovely, caught my eye on her first circuit of the ring super type, has substance & elegance, a proper Min Dachshund & so soundly made with no over exaggeration. CC & BOB; 2 Gore’s Spalandion Sweet Angel Face, a lot to like about this little bitch, soundly put together & moves well. Had not the coat of Czarina & was unfortunate to meet her in this class; 3 Russtek Magalina. NB (2) 1 B Hot Gossip; 2 B Penny Wise. PGB (5) This was a really top quality class & it was purely nit-picking to sort them out, I am sure they will change places many times. 1 Poxon’s Kapodach Cup Cake, lovely head, neck, shoulder & angulation, nice clean balanced outline which she keeps on the move. I felt she had a little too much facial furnishing that makes her look masculine in head although she is not; 2 McCleod & Hassall’s Janjac Mac Zeen, very sound bitch who moves beautifully, lovely coat, put down & presented to perfection. Felt 1 had the advantage of length of sternum & ribbing; 3 Fallowmill On The Button. LB (5) A hard class to judge as there was such a variance in types. 1 Drakesleat Ott Favourite, won this class with ease, nice clean outline, sound front, good lay of shoulder which follows through to strong lengthy ribbing, super rear angulation which she uses to best advantage; 2 Kemp’s Vossmead Lola Rose, totally different in type to 1, lovely coat, well presented, pleasing head & neck, sound shoulder & front but a little weak in pastern & turns a front foot. Moved with good rear drive; 3 Deepdax Credit Crunch. OB 1 Marton-Teal’s Lordscairnie Love Life, have always admired this bitch & was not disappointed when I went over her, beautifully constructed & moves soundly, won this class with ease. Just preferred the substance & more filled in front of Stargang Czarina. RCC; 2 Blackburn’s Stargang Moll Flanders, a lovely bitch of classical shape, unfortunately lost her topline a touch on the move; 3 Drakesleat Trix Of The Trade.
