A lovely entry and some quality animals. Sadly, as is
usual nowadays, the bitch entry had much more depth of quality. I had some
really hot classes. Dogs? Oh dear me! Very few up to standard. Look very
closely at the sires of the winning exhibits for your future breeding plans.
One or two dogs had sired some quality exhibits, as in the PB classes for
example. No very thin dogs and only three over the maximum weight. Coats were
very good on the whole, as were mouths. Four only had four incisors and one
with four teeth in the upper jaw. Temperaments were good apart from one puppy,
which I forgave as he was not nasty in any way, just untrained. Thank you for
an enjoyable day. Vet (3,1) 1 Miller's Palsuz Dream Time.
Brindle girl of 7 and a half years. Too fat but underneath the padsding I found
her construction was good. Good mouth. Happy mover. 2 Oram's Janjec Moshino at
Rosswell. 8 year old bitch. Taller than the winner. bl/br with a good coat and
mouth. A shade straight behind, moved soundly. MPD (3,2) 1 Billinghurst's
Jiljac Tsar Very Much. Typy, with a decent front. A shade long in loin and as
he is a biggish puppy I hope he doesn't grow on too much. Moved soundly. Best
Puppy Dog. PD (3,2) 1 Neate's Beaucat Chedda Gorge. A problem
boy. Needs a lot more training. Not nervous, just really unruly. Would not
stand or move steadily but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Good coat and
head. Not bad conformation and the little I saw of him moving was enough.
JD (3) Nice class. 1 Thorn-Andrews' Pelismer Deal to Win
Drakesleat. Ideal size for a dog. Very good shoulders and ribbing, short hocks.
Moves correctly keeping a good topline. Nice temperament, wagging his tail on
the table. Nice. 2 Fulton's Bothlyn Brigadoon. Br lad. Lovely to go over,
everything in the right place. Elegant neckline leading into good shoulders,
neat front. Very sound on the move going away and coming to me. Sadly he lost
his topline when moving, hope this improves, as he is only young and deserves
top honours. 3 Jones' Bimini King of Swing. PGD (8,1) 1
Hassall's Stargang Vegas Strip. This dog has come on since I last saw him and
matured very well. Lovely size and should be useful to the breed for keeping
the desired weight. Excellent front assembly, super outline standing and on the
move. Well angulated fore and aft. Very sound but just wish he had a little
more drive behind. 2 Fulton's Bothlyn Brigadoon. 3 Russell's Russteck
Dandelion. LD (7,1) 1 Phillips' Curtisey Boogy Woogie. Res CC.
Not seen this lad before and thought him lovely. Very well presented in super
coat. Very masculine outlook, typy all through and well boned with chunky feet.
Correct construction, moved with freedom and drive. Shall watch his progress
with interest. 2 Horswell's Drakesleat Noddy Off. Another very masculine boy of
corect size. Excellent front construction with a good layback of shoulder and
length of upperarm. Ribbed well back and kept his topline on the move. A shade
longer in hock than the winner but a very close decision. 3 Kugow and Holt's
Waldmeister Johnson. OD (6) 1 Good class. 1 and CC,
Thorn-Andrews' Drakesleat Ottoff the Press. This was his 2nd CC I believe, and
he should soon gain his third. Needs to be examined to appreciate his
construction. Excellent head and a doggy expression, sadly missing in the males
today. Big teeth. Well developed front and length of keel. Good bone all
through, short loin and correct angulation front and rear. Correct width coming
and going away from me. Looked the part in the class and dog challenge,
however, in the challenge for BOB he did not have the same get up and go and I
felt he had had enough. The bitch was much more enthusiastic on the move. 2
Dance's Deepdax Overdraft to Far Emem. Another impressive male, a lot to like
about him. Arrogant head and expression, correct coat and presentation. Ribbing
well back with strong hindquarters. Good mover, a shade shorter than the winner
but a lovely dog. 3 Howell's Ch Fallowmill Back and Fetch. Another quality dog
and a worthy Champion. MPB (5,1) 1 Some promising babies here.
1 Williams' Tythe Mystique. Br baby and my type of puppy. Lovely size, well
made all through with lovely bone. Moved very soundly and with freedom. Kept
her shape standing and moving, very promising. 2 Blackburn's Stargang Diamond
Dust. Lovely red girl with a harsh coat. I see is half sister to the winner.
She was very unsettled and silly on entering the ring, as her handler hasd to
rush her in. A shade smaller than the winner but a lovely shape. On examination
everything was correct, from her pretty head to her wagging tail. When she
moved kept a good topline, close up and when she settled down I am sure will
change places. 3 Shone's Bratenklein I Love the Little Thing. PB
(12) Again puppies with promise. 1 Dance's Emem Candy Sunshine. Best Puppy and
Res BPIS. Just loved this girl, such a lovely temperament. Not overlong for
age. Long ribbing with short loin. Strong hammy quarters, sadly lacking in
many. Such a sound mover and never put a foot wrong even at the end of a tiring
day. I will watch her with interest. 2 Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Czarina.
Another one by the same sire as the first two in the last class. Super quality
red coat, not easy to produce. Very well made all through with a charming
temperament. Wagging her tail all the time. Again excellent hammy quarters and
short hocks. Neat front assembly, sound mover, just not quite as mature as the
winner but should do well. 3 Howell's Fallowmill On the Button. JB
(7) 1 Thor-Andrews' Drakesleat Round N Round. Very promising 13 month old girl.
Lovely size, very feminine with a well developed front and good bone all
through. Correct shoulders, excellent width all through. Moved really well,
keeping a good topline. Cuts up very slightly but nit-picking. 2 Kemp's Vossmead
Lola Rose. Feminine and well presented bitch, very like her mother who I liked
and did well. Soundly constructed with decent hindquarters. Moved well but is a
shade shorter than the winner and doesn't cover the ground so well. 3 Hayward's
Hanishan First Choice at Foxearth. PGB (14) Quality class. 1
Marston's Lordscairnie Love Life. Typy bitch in lovely condition and presented
well. Tight harsh coat. Excellent shoulders with correct layback and length of
upperarm. Good underline with ribbing well back. Moved with verve, keeping a
super outline. 2 McLeod's Janjac Mac Zeen. Same remarks as the winner.
Beautifully presented, although a very sound mover is apt to toe in very
slightly, but I liked her. 3 Black's Drakesleat Cheez Der One for Bassodon.
LB (12) A hot class. 1 Jones' Bimini Rhapsody in Blue. Have
admired this pretty little bitch from the ringside. So feminine. Her owner was
unfortunately incapacitated so she was handled by someone else, which is never
ideal. However, apart from not moving away with gusto she really strode out
coming to me and around the ring. Very nicely constructed all through and good
bone for size. 2 Price's Samlane Zaffiro. Different type to the winner. Bigger
all round, though that is not to say she is in any way doggy. Correct shoulders
and ribbing giving a good underline. Very sound and keeping her shape at all
times. 3 Black's Bassodon Burlesque. OB (12,5) 1 CC, BOB and
BIS, McLeod's Sidelock Do I Look Bovvered. Well, she wasn;t 'bovvered, on the
day! Not the easiest girl to show, a real fidget at times but pulled all the
stops out to win her third CC. Such an ideal size, not to low or too tall.
Lovely head and expression, neat and correctly constructed front. Lovely shape
standing and moving, but wow, does she pull all the stops out when moving, real
drive and exension. Won well nder me last time I judged but did not use herself
on the move as well. I loved her - well done. 2 Blackburn-Bennett's Ch Stargang
Lady Gaga. A stunning bitch and a worthy Champion. Lovely to go over on the
table. Flows from her feminine head to her tail. Covers the ground on the move,
good width coming to me. Sadly on the day she was moving wide behind - a pity.
3 Black's Ch Bassodon Dita Von Teese.
