I would very much like to thank the secretary, officers and committee for
their hospitality and warm and friendly welcome up North! I very much enjoyed
judging the miniature wires, and would like to say a big thank you for this
opportunity, and to everyone who exhibited here today. Much has been said
recently regarding weight issues in miniatures, I found all were in excellent
condition and well presented, if fact, many were on the higher end of the
weight limit. My only concern was a few incorrect mouths, some with teeth
missing, when striving to reach perfection, do not forget the basics. My advice
to the newer exhibitors/owners is to speak to the breeders of winning kennels,
even top names were newbies once, and they must be doing something right to get
to the top in the first place, and to remain there. MPD (1)1
Hunt's Earthseas Pocket Rocket (BPD) Strong masculine head, good reach of neck
and well placed shoulders. Good body shape and well developed for his tender
age. Well angulated hindquarters. Good bone and substance throughout. Looks
very smart standing, but is still a real baby on the move, being a little
uncoordinated at times. PD (2)1 Payton's Marajo Krinkle
Another very immature baby, still a minor puppy, but promising with a good head
and expression, pleasing angulation at both ends and overall good type. Moved
freely in profile, but a little untidy and loose in front movement coming on. 2
Young's Portalutra Del Boy. Compact and shapely in outline. Moved parallel up
and back, but still needing to settle in top line and in profile. JD
(2)1 Thorn-Andrew's- Pellismer Deal To Win Drakesleat (DCC). A truly
outstanding young dog - all that you can wish for in a future sire. He has a
lovely outline and neck, correct expression and such ring presence. Harsh coat,
good top line, underline which he holds whilst moving, plenty of ribbing and
excels in hind angulation, very hard to fault and can only get better, one we
will see plenty more of for sure. A pleasure to go over, no hesitation in
awarding the CC to this top class lad in a strong mature line-up. 2
Waldie's-Bothlyn symphony at Purslane. Another dog of good type and balance. He
has an excellent head and expression. Sound front and rear and correct
movement. Just needs to gain confidence YD (2)1 Kugow and
Holt's Waldmeister Johnson JW. Excellent type, a quality dog with correct coat
of harsh texture. This dog has sound structure, excellent expression and is
well balanced throughout, good angulation, with sound free movement. 2
Waldie's-Bothlyn symphony at Purslane PGD (2)1 Adam's Angelholm's
Figaro. Strong head, neck and front, a little taller than some, good ribbing
and rear angulation, moved soundly. 2 Baxter's Hotwire Didja Ever. A little
shorter on ribbing than one, another good head and coat, correct shoulders,
lacked angulation of winner. LD (8,1)1 Horswell's Drakesleat
Noddy Doff Another excellent, almost old fashioned example of the breed,
Thought my cc would land here, but I could not get past the young pretender.
Sound all through, excellent head, neck, shoulders, topline and angulation,
strong coat, a very true type very typical of his breeding. 2 Moore's Danvichar
Euphrasia. Nice outline and steady mover, angulation good, masculine head, not
the overall balance of the winner, still a nice type. 3 Hassall's Stargang
Vegas Strip OD (6,2)Good class of quality males, although very
different types, that is no bad thing. 1 Stancliffe's- Portalutra Mr. Thomas of
Tarkus (RCC) Well-muscled body, very strong and masculine type, excellent coat,
head, shoulders, topline and under line ,moved very well and pulled out all the
stops to win this class and eventually the res cc in a very strong challenge. 2
Howell's Ch Fallowmill Back And Fetch JW SHCM Another top quality male, good
head and front assembly, well angulated, good ribbing and another in good coat,
so encouraging having these good males available. 3 Dance's Deepdax Overdraft
Too Far Emem. MPB (3,1)1 Waldie's Bothlyn Sonata at Purslane.
2 Robert's Marajo Jump N Jive. Both girls very similar, very immature, after
all they are only babies, sweet heads and expression, top lines will strengthen
as will hind quarters, good sound babies. Both need time and training and to
mature in all areas but time is on their side. PB (6) 1
Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Czarina (BPIB and RBPIS). Loved this youngster, so
well made in all areas, super head, neck, shoulders, strong topline and neat
underline, well angulated and moved like a veteran, well handled, will have a
bright future and I predict an early crown, very close up in the challenge.
Delighted to her go res BPIS. 2 Dance's Emem Candy Sunshine Well modelled head
with a nice eye shape arched neck and good shoulders and front construction.
Correct topline, ribbing and underline. Well angulated quarters showing good
hind extension in profile. 3 Howell's-Fallowmill on the Button. JB
(2) 1 Thorn-Andrews- Drakesleat Round N Round (RCC) . Charming young lady has
all the credentials to go far, Neck and front construction just right, with
good layback and tight elbows. Pleasing prominence of front, clean legs and
good feet. Super, well covered body, dense coat and excellent ribbing with
short, strong loin. Kept same outline standing and moving, well-turned stifle
and a good second thigh. Short neat hocks. Correct topline and tail set, moved
with balanced side gait. 2 Baxter's Hotwire All Shook Up Unlucky to meet winner
in top form, different type but is well made, moved well and kept a good
outline. YB (4,1) 1 Daykin's Ashridge Dun Danzin at Barratini.
Really nice type, plenty of substance but not overdone, excellent front
assembly, well angulated and purposeful on the move, yet another with top
honours on the way when she fills out and matures on,one to watch. 2 Kugow and
Holt's Stargang Vera Wang by Waldmeister. Head ok, well formed prosternum, bone
and feet good. Nice outline, level and pleasing all round. 3 Black's Drakesleat
Cheez Der One Four Bassodon. PGB (7,1) Mixed class of various
types and stages in maturity, I am sure they will swap places on mant
occasions. 1 Mcleod and Hassall's Janjac Mac Zeen. Stylish lady, good length,
strong head, good front construction, well ribbed up and well-formed hind
quarters, most settled and mature in the class. Good honest type. 2
Poxon's-Kapodach Cupcake JW. Elegant lady, nice reachy neck, tight elbows, kept
a neat outline on the move, covers the ground well. 3 Black's Bassodon
Burlesque LB (4) 1 Blackburn's Stargang Moll Flanders. Super
head and front construction, good ribbing, excellent top line, nice rounded
rear end, very true moving keeping her outline all the way, excellent coat and
body covering, another really classy type who will make the grade. 2 Meredith's
Deepdax Credit Crunch. Sound and true, good topline, good head and over all
assembly, not overdone, moved nice and steadily keeping a good profile. 3
Price's Samlane Zaffiro. OB (4) 100% quality! What an absolute
joy this class of beautiful ladies was to judge, such a comfort to think all of
the ladies will hopefully be producing quality and typy offspring in the
future, a real credit to careful and considerate breeding, well done. 1 Dunn's
Barratine Bumble At Ashridge JW. This bitch oozes soundness and type, again
expected from the breeding she carries, lovely dark eye, good head and front
assembly, level topline, excellent hind angulation which accounts for her
effortless movement, very much a type I like, sound and sincere, such a
pleasure to award her the CC and thrilled to be told it was her 3rd,
congratulations, gained BOB over the young male on physical maturity, just had
the edge as the finished article, to see them together in the challenge was a
dream. (BCC and BOB) 2 Thorn-Andrew's Drakesleat Ott Favourite. Hard to
separate this young lady from the winner, so very similar in all aspects, just
preferred my winners head but splitting hairs, considered her for res CC but
her young kennel mate had a little extra sparkle, still a true quality
specimen. 3 McLeod's Sidelock Do I Look Bovvered
