MPD (1) 1 Dance’s Waldmeister Rova To You Emem, handsome dog, well constructed & well muscled, correct head held high with good ear length, correct dentition & almond eye, excellent harsh coat, general outline is pleasing & ground clearance is good & his topline level on the move, moved well with drive & showed to perfection. BPD. JD (3) 1 Black’s Bassodon Westwood, liked this dog very much, excellent harsh coat, lay of shoulder is correct as is his rear angulation & tailset, ground clearance is good allowing him unrestricted movement, excellent topline on the move. CC; 2 Thorn-Andrews’ Drakesleat Fifty Scents, this dog is longer in body in comparison to his height. Has a strong Dachshund head, dentition & a lovely almond eye. Good strong rear action. I preferred the front shoulder construction of 1. Moved well with drive. PGD (4) 1 Payton’s Marajo Krinkle, lovely tight b/t coat, correct head with absence of stop, front & rear construction is correct thus enabling him to cope with the grass in the ring a bit better than some of the others; 2 Dunn’s Barratini Danz On to Ashridge, correct strong head & excellent shoulder construction, rear construction is correct, moved well keeping his level topline, well handled; 3 Livingston’s Portalutra The Glory. LD (2) 1 Whitehouse’s Alshtadt Kinder Surprise, good looking dog, super harsh coat, front & rear construction correct. Rear needs to tighten as it is still a bit loose tending to lose drive when on the move. Generally a good correct Dachshund outline. OD (4) 1 Thorn-Andrews’ Ch Drakesleat Win Tin Tin, correct & very strong head with correct ear placing & almond eye, rear angulation is giving drive on the move, kept a level topline when moving & showed good rounded croup with a correct tailset. Like many others he was not happy moving on the long grass. RCC; 2 Kugow & Holt’s Waldmeister Samuel, this was a closely run class. Superb coat, strong & well muscled, has plenty of ground clearance, topline is level when moving, movement is free & covers the ground easily; 3 Blackburn’s Stargang Crusoe.
MPB (3) 1 Kugow & Holt‘s Waldmeister Annie, b/t brindle with harsh tight coat, has the ground clearance to move easily & smoothly in this coarse grass. Pleasant head with correct ear placing, eye shape & dentition. Good rear angulation, stood well for her handler showing her correct outline, moved keeping her level top & underline. Should surely have a bright future. BP; 2 Whithouse’s Alshtadt Nezhenka, this is a lovely young bitch only just over 6 months but is already showing her correct head & forefront details. Hindquarters are also correct but needs to tighten as she matures. She promises a good future; 3 Borman’s Moonflower for Cristaluna. PB (5) 1 Poxon’s Upto Mischief Diervilla via Kapodach, lovely bitch & in spite of misbehaving in the ring she showed that she is a good specimen of the breed. Has a lovely harsh coat, correct head & full of fun which you would expect from puppy of this age. Her quarters fore & aft are correct, on the whole she is quality bitch & should have a good future; 2 Hambling’s Tythe Idaho, another quality puppy with a correct head & expression, well constructed shoulders & hindquarters but the latter just lost shape on the move; 3 Hunt & Eathsea’s Lady Moonshine. JB (3) 1 Rathbone’s Fraulein Giselle at Brialind, this is a lovely bitch with a harsh tight coat, correct fore & hindquarters, moved well showing her level topline & her beautifully rounded croup; 2 Adams’ Scarlet Red Diervilla in Angelholm, another lovely bitch this time with a much looser coat, still harsh but not tight to the body. Quite a good head but with shorter ears which spoils the outline. Front & rearquarters correct, stood correctly & moved well. PGB (9) 1 Daykin’s Barratini Hot Gossip, compact bitch with correct proportions & in excellent condition, front & rear are correctly constructed without exaggeration, moved showing her level topline & smooth underline & coping with the grass better than most. RCC; 2 Morris’ Banburg Black Opal at Stargang, small nicely coated young bitch. Head a little on the small side but the rest well proportioned. Correct construction front & rear, showed well & moved with drive; 3 Baxter’s Hotwire All Shook Up. LB (2) 1 Thorn-Andrews’ Drakesleat May Contain Nuts, well constructed bitch with nice front quarters & prominent forechest, correct underline, rearquarters are excellent, moved well considering the uneven grass; 2 Poxon’s Kapodach Cup Cake, of a totally different type to 1. Tight coated with correctly constructed strong forequarters & good hindquarters, moving freely in all directions. OB (5) 1 Blackburn-Bennett’s Ch Stargang Czarina, this is not normally one my favourite colours but her general construction & quality of coat is excellent. Correct head, super forechest, shoulders & good strong hind angulation with a beautifully rounded croup, so well handled. CC & BOB; 2 Thorn-Andrews’ Drakesleat Ott Favourite, another beautifully constructed bitch. Head is correctly shaped with little or no stop which is perfect, has good long ribbing supporting her spine & a deep chest; 3 Dance’s Emem Candy Sunshine. VB (1) 1 Whitehouse’s Rioban Lady Guinever, nicely constructed oldie at nearly 8 years, she loves showing. Correct construction is evident & she is in excellent condition. BV.
