I wish to thank the South Wales Kennel Association for their invitation, my two stewards for their unobtrusive and efficient help in running the ring and the exhibitors for the privilege of going over their dogs. As I had expected none of the exhibits presented were either undernourished or dehydrated. I was disappointed to find some with loose elbows and short upper arms and a couple of suspect bites. However, the temperaments were exemplary and overall the entry, though small, was one of quality.

PD(3) 1 BPD & BPIB, Rose's Ridanflight Ricardo. A promising masculine dog, good conical head, well shaped eye, well ribbed and angulated and thus moved well, needs to tighten in elbow but time is on his side. 2 Dance's Waldmeister Rova To You Emem. Another quality puppy, similarly constructed to the above but losing a close decision to the more positive movement of the winner. 3 Galen-Bisping's Jiljac Yulebruner At Celticberns.

LD(3) 1 Howell's Fallowmill Sergio. Good head and eye, his good length of upper arm gave him a pleasing prosternum and his angulation a good topline which held throughout his sound movement. 2 Hayward's Taree Scoville At Wirefusion. Not the front of the winner but a sound, well constructed dog, a little unsettled at first but moved well once settled. 3 Lewis' Trixhund Beluga.

OD(4) 1 DCC &BOS, Thorn Andrews' Ch Drakesleat Win Tin Tin. A class of top quality and hair splitting decisions where his overall qualities, balance and positive movement won him a very close decision. 2 Blackburn's Ch Stargang Crusoe. Also out of the top drawer, finally losing out in a close contest by going slightly close behind when going away. 3 Krugow &Holt's Waldmeister Samuel JW.

MPB(1) 1 Marston's Lordscairne Rhytham Of Love. Mature 7 mth old with good head and eye, good topline, well ribbed and standing four square, lovely tight elbows and moving and showing well for one so young.

PB(3, 1) 1 & Best PB, Kugow &Holt's Waldmeister Annie. B/t bitch with much to admire, good head and eye, perfect topline and moving well once she settled, lossing out to the dog puppys slightly longer upper arm for BPIB. 2 Price's Samlane Alexis. Not quite as good a front as the winner and cutting away slightly at the croup, but with much to like.

JB(3) 1 Thorn Andrews' Drakesleat Scents Sybil. A sound, well made bitch with lovely bone and lovely tight elbows, presenting a well balanced picture, standing four square and moving well, must surely have a bright future. 2 Billinghurst's Drakesleat Scent Sueall For Jiljac. Litter sister to the winner and sharing many of the same attributes. Losing out to her litter sisters slightly better angulation. 3 Passey's Braybon Krystal Moon To Cagebrook.

PGB(5) 1 Oram's Fallowmill On The Spot At Rosswell. Though a slightly differing pair, this was a close decision between two nice bitches. Both nicely constructed with good heads and jackets, both standing four square and moving well. 2 Chugg's Templestowe Sweet Dreams. Much to like and close up to the winner, but losing out by toeing in slightly when going away. 3 Marston Teal's Lordscairne Look Of Love.

LB(6) 1 Thorn Andrews' Drakesleat May Contain Nuts. A quality b/t, her slightly lass harsh wire coat than some here today was outweighed by her super conformation, her overall balance and movement. 2 Holgate's Drakesleat Bahn The Bomb. Also a quality bitch, good head, topline and well angulated, but losing out to the winners better bone. 3 Miller's Angelholm Astadina At Palsuz.

OB(6) 1, BCC &BOB, Blackburn Bennett's Ch Stargang Czarina. A super red bitch to top a class of quality bitches, it was going to take something special to win this class, and she was indeed a special and worthy winner. 2 Barney's Verrami Domestic Goddess. One with so much to admire and unlucky to meet the winner on such form. 3 Dance's Emem Candy Sunshine.

VB(2) 1 Price's Samlane Pink Gin. A nice 7 yr old bitch in fine fettle, nicely constructed and winning the class with her free and still fluent movement. 2 Janjac Moschino At Rosswell. Slightly overweight owing to recently recovering from surgery, but this did not prevent her from showing well. However that may be the cause of her not moving quite as fluently as the winner.
