We were blessed with a bright and sunny day but the cold
wind made for a chilly mornings judging. The ground was choppy and uneven in our
ring but the Mini Wires coped reasonably well as they are always game and happy
to have a go. Some of the dog classes were disappointing in quality. Limit Dog
was especially difficult. Front movement in many was poor and quite a few
toplines were lost on the move.
MPD(4, 1) 1 Howell's Fallowmill Sergio. 8 mths, very smart puppy with
good coat texture and body, attractive head, lovely eyes, well muscled, trotted
his stuff quite well on the uneven ground. 2 Hunt's Earthseas Bobby Sox. 7 mths,
front needs to improve, in lean condition, masculine head, good topline, moved
ok, well handled. 3 Harris &Hemmens' Starhill Prince Hamlet.
PD(3) 1 Boyns' Brindeckel Diamond Geezer. 11 mths, switched on showman,
full of himself, plenty of style and confidence, good head, dark eyes, firm body
and quarters, strode out well on the move, good coat but not a lot of it, tail
carriage sometimes a bit gay but I'm sure this will settle down. 2
Thorn-Andrews' Drakesleat Fifty Scents. 10 mths, promising puppy, quality head,
good neckline, topline and quarters, steady showman, just needs to strength in
front. 3 S Prince Hamlet.
JD(1) 1 Gosney's Stargang Hugo's Quest. 15 mths, pleasing head and eye,
well ribbed up, good bone and body, a little short of coat today but decent
texture. Bit of a wild child on the move but sound enough.
PGD(1) 1 Hayward's Taree Scoville At Wirefusion. Nearly two, up to
size, masculine and self assured, good body and ribcage, well conditioned, moved
ok but could have shown with a bit more sparkle.
LD(5) Real problem class. Kugow &Holt's Waldmeister Samuel JW. Three
and a half yrs, had to win as he scored in side movement and confident
showmanship, well fitting coat, firm topline, well up to size, rather light in
body, but well muscled and very focused. Would prefer a little lower to ground.
2 Presnail's Taree Selwyn. Litter brother to post grad dog winner, tucked
himself up when moving and lacked a bit of enthusiasm generally, attractive
head, intelligent expression, excellent coat, sympathetically handled. 3
Hassall's Stargang Vegas Strip.
OD(4, 1) 1, CC and BOB, Thorn-Andrews' Drakesleat Win Tin Tin. 15 mths
old, excellent quality and type, well balanaced head, expressive eyes, good
outline, body and proportions, short, strong loin, held his topline, steady
showman who responded well to his handler, well coated and conditioned, strong
quarters. This was his third CC at only 15 mths. 2 and RCC, Phillips' Curtisey
Boogy Woogy JW. 34 mths, mae a good bid here, fit, sporty and healthy, lovely
coat, attractive head, good bone, moved well in front but could have been
stronger behind, excellent overall balance, good size, well handled. 3
Blackburn's Stargang Crusoe.
MPB(7) Impressive class with sosme charming but collapsible babies! 1
Hunt's Earthseas Lady Moonshine. 7 mths, easy winner, full of promise, good head
and eye, well proportioned and so together for her age, already such a good
topline, well made quarters, proper Miss Goody Two Shoes! 2 Jones' Bimini From
Russia With Love. 7 mths, started off badly but rallied and handler certainly
got her into a very good pose once she settled, good length of head, good make
and shape, clean neckline and proportions. 3 Hambling's Tythe Idaho.
PB(5, 1) 1, BP, also RCC, Thorn-Andrews' Drakesleat Scents Sybil. 10
mths, litter sister to second in PD, and what a little cracker. Feminine head,
composed showgirl and kept it up right to the end, sturdy body, good outline,
neck and topline, big personality who knew exactly what to do, well coated and
conditioned, real little star. 2 Goulding's Jiljac Patsy Clime. 11 mths, quality
puppy, pleasing head, dark eyes, good coat, moved ok but showmanship a bit
spasmodic today. Carrying plenty of weight. 3 Baker's Leversha's Moccasinbrie.
JB(7, 1) 1 Billinghurst's Drakesleat Scent Sueall For Jiljac. 10 mths,
typy puppy with good head and expression, excellent neckline, body and rib, went
well, nicely proportioned, well fitting coat, confident showgirl, lovely to see
such a crop of promising bitch puppies. 2 Hayward's Foxearth Fatma Salkan. 13
mths red, good neck and shoulders, held topline on the go round, feminine head,
expressive eyes, moved and showed quite well. 3 Passey's Braybon Krystal Moon To
Cagebrook.
PGB(6, 2) 1 Kugow & Holt's Waldmeister Hattie. Nearly two, half sister
to LD winner, short of coat today but really good texture, neat head, in good
form, fit and well muscled, moved and showed with determination. 2 Oram's
Fallowmill On The Spot At Rosswell. Feminine 2 yr old, would like a little
strong in underjaw, tail carriage a bit gay on the move, good body and outline,
moved quite well. 3 Mobley's Samlane What Else Of Jakanem.
LB(10) 1 Thorn-Andrews' Drakesleat Round N' Round. Two and a half yrs,
good honest bitch, not the coat of second, but went much better in front, good
head and eye, well proportioned and never gave up, firm body, well handled to
win a difficult class. 2 McLeod &Hassall's Janjac Mac Zeen. Standing this was my
winner but front movement let her down today, superb coat and condition, great
outline and body, most attractive head and expression, well proportioned, moved
well beind, steady showgirl. 3 Howell's Fallowmill On The Button JW ShCM.
OB(7) 1 and CC, Marston-Teal's Ch Lordscairnie Love Life. Two and a
half yrs old, smart, quality bitch in splendid form, good type and size,
feminine head and outlook, expressive eyes, lovely topline and coat texture,
well muscled quarters, very fit, handled to advantage, went well. 2
Blackburn-Bennett's Ch Stargang Czarina. 23 mths red, harsh jacket, good outline
and proportions, well bodied and boned, moved along quite well but different in
type. 3 Thorn-Andrews' Drakesleat Ott Favourite.
