Thank you to the exhibits for their entries, the atmosphere at the show was very pleasant my thanks to the Stewards and the Committee for inviting me.
Presentation on some could have been better, dirty teeth, long nails, some had flat feet that roadwork could have helped, and there is always room for improvements on coat texture, shoulders and hind quarters, I did find suspect mouths but the majority today were of good quality and I thoroughly enjoyed my appointment.
MPD (4)
What a lovely start, some very nice youngsters.
1st Mrs Z Thorn-Andrews Drakesleat If Looks Cud Kill, 6 months a superb spec of the mini wire breed, very nice baby, I just could not take my eyes of him. Lovely head correct scissor bite, ears set correctly, lovely coat, enough reach of neck into correct shoulders. His front still to develop, good keel and well sprung ribbing carried back, kept level topline on the move with super quarters. Moved true with good drive, shall have a very good future. BPD, BPIB RCC & delighted to see him go BPIS!
2nd Mrs Barney Verrami En Trac, another puppy with time on his side, very well presented, well balanced throughout, a lot to like about this boy. It could have been either way between 1st and 2nd place, today preferred the winner on movement, he just needs to stop sinking into his quarters! This boy should do very well.
3rd Mrs Marston-Teal Lordscairnie Moment of Love, another nice puppy, needed to settle on the move, showed well.
PD (1)
1st Mrs Miller Palsuz Basil 7months, was reserve in previous class, he’s very raw and needs to settle, I would like a pinch more weight on him. He showed well and enjoyed his day out.
JD (3-1)
1st Mr S Rose Ridanflight Ricardo, quite a little showman, Lovely head correct scissor bite, ears set correctly, lovely coat, enough reach of neck into good shoulders, good keel and well sprung ribbing carried back, kept level topline on the move with super quarters. Moved true with good drive could certainly move well, he shall have a very good future. DCC & BOS
2nd Mr K Galen-Bisping Jiljac Yule Brunner, another nice dog, nice head, good reach of neck, I would like better laid shoulders, good body coverage could carry bit more, well sprung ribbing, sound hind quarters, just needs to settle, moved and showed well.
LD (4)
1st Mrs Howells Fallowmill Sergio, very nice masculine looking dog. Good strong head and scissor bite, enough depth to muzzle with furnishings, with dark eyes and correct ear set. Nice reach of neck into good shoulders, needed slightly more to his front, good depth of keel with well sprung ribbing, nice topline which he kept on the move, sound hind quarters.
2nd Mr T & Mrs B Hayward Foxearth Fiddler on the Roof, similar remarks apply. Good strong head and scissor bite, enough depth to muzzle with furnishings, with dark eyes and correct ear set. Nice reach of neck I would have liked slightly better shoulder lay, good rib length kept topline on the move, I preferred winners’ hind quarters. He showed really well with attitude.
3rd Mr Lewis Trixund Beluga, quite nicely compact, didn’t move as well today, very similar to first. Just needed to move better and make use of his quarters.
OD (1)
1st Mrs Thorn-Andrews Ch Drakesleat Win Tin Tin, Very nice masculine head, enough depth to his muzzle, strong scissor bite, has all his furnishings. Correct ear set & lovely reach of neck. Good shoulders which I would have liked them laid back a bit more, good prosternum and enough depth to keel, well sprung ribbing carried well back. I would of liked him to have just a little more to his hind quarters. Moved well, but the puppy dog from this kennel is superior.
Vet (3-1)
Both veterans were very good at grand age of 10years old, could have been either way. Both enjoyed their day out.
1st Mr T & Mrs B Hayward Ch Foxearth Foto Copy, great senior bitch, lovely red, slightly out of coat, good front and rib length, good hind quarters and stormed round the ring.
2nd Mr & Mrs Oram Janjac Moschind at Rosswell, again another senior bitch, in better coat, just lost out to winner in front movement, similar remarks apply, also stormed round the ring, pleasure to go over.
MPB (4-2)
1st Mrs & Miss Baker Palsuz Meadow Sweet For Leversha, very raw babies with lots of time on their sides, this one needs confidance. Once settled should have some fun in the ring.
2nd Miss Baxter Hotwire Starstuck, another nice raw puppy I preferred the rear on the winner. This one had attitude, so no doubt once matured they’ll be plenty of fun. I suspect that these two will be either way in their classes.
PB (3-1)
1st Mrs Howells Briarderyn Dot at Fallowmill. Nice feminine bitch, lovely head, enough reach of neck. I would have liked a little more to her front, and better shoulders, good depth of keel and sprung ribbing, not as well let down on to her hocks. Won this class on her maturity, should still have some fun, very pleasant to go over. BPB
2nd Mrs & Miss Baker Palsuz Meadow Sweet For Leversha.
JB (1)
1st Mrs Lancaster Pellismer Stix N Stones, nice feminine bitch, lovely head and reach of neck, had her furnishings and good depth to muzzle. I would have liked a better front with depth, shoulders were slightly forward, good rib length carried back, lost topline on move. Would have liked a little more to her stifle.
PGB (6)
1st Mr M Lewis Trixund Tati Romanova. A matured bitch of quality nicely balanced throughout & well built. Lovely head with furnishings, nicely set ears, lovely reach of neck into well laid shoulders, good front, and nice depth to her keel. Ribbing well sprung and carried back, nice underline & sound hind quarters, moved wide at rear but moved well covering ground.
2nd Mrs L Billinghurst Drakesleat Scent Sueall for Jiljac, I liked this bitch lost out to winner on her front construction, she showed very well and was pleasure to go over.
3rd Mr Oram Fallowmill on the Spot at Rosswell, the first two had better front and hind angulations, she still moved and showed very well.
LB (4)
1st Mrs G Lancaster Pellismer Deals a winner, a lot to like about this bitch, nicely balanced throughout. Lovely head with furnishings, scissor bite, dark eyes & nicely set ears, lovely reach of neck into well laid shoulders, good full front, and nice depth to her keel. Ribbing well sprung and carried back, nice underline and kept level topline on the move extended using her rear. BCC & BOB.
2nd Mr & Mrs Hayward Foxearth Fatma Salkan, again another nice bitch, lost out to winner on her front construction. Similar remarks apply. Kept topline and used her hindquarters. Was out of coat but still pleasing to go over.
3rd Mrs Goulding Jiljac Patsy Clime, quite nice little bitch, all in place just would have liked a better front.
OB (4-2)
1st Mrs Barney Verrami Domestic Goddess, judged this one twice before was nice to see her again and this time not sinking into shoulders. Showed very well today and really moved. Lovely head with furnishings, scissor bite, dark eyes & nicely set ears, lovely reach of neck into well laid shoulders, good full front, and nice depth to her keel. Ribbing well sprung and carried back, nice underline and kept level topline on the move would just like a little more to her rear angulation. RBCC
2nd Mrs Thorn-Andrews Drakesleat May Contain Nuts, a very nice bitch. Lovely head with furnishings, scissor bite, dark eyes & nicely set ears, lovely reach of neck into good shoulders & front, nice depth to her keel. Ribbing well sprung and carried back, nice underline and kept level topline on the move. If she was settled and moved better extending her well angulated rear would have had CC, I’m sure will soon be made up.
Judge Miss Clare Bethel.
