I want to thank the Great Joint Dachshund Association for the chance to judge at their well run show. I found no really thin Dachshunds but some of the smaller bitches all though they did not tip the scales they were a bit on the tubby side.

MIN W/H DACHSHUND – MPD (3) 1 Kugow & Holt’s Waldmeister Aldo, this 8 month old puppy was very mature for age, well developed head with dark eye leading into long neck into good front assembly, forechest, topline & ribbing, matching rear angulation, moved well with good drive. BPD, BP; 2 Hunt’s Earthseas Wolf’s Bane, different type, more up on leg, nice head, dark eye, good neck into shoulder & forechest, with matching rearquarters, level topline, good depth for age, moved well; 3 Morris’ Pennywave Pole Position. PD (2) 1 Hayward’s Foxearth Filharmonic, nice head, dark eye, good neck & forechest, topline slipping behind but moved OK; 2 Crossman’s Energy Elegance Frankin, different type, narrow head, good neck & forechest, depth for age, not so long, moderate angulation but elbows flap when moving. JD (7,3a) 1 Russell’s Russteck Wyre In The Blood, nice type, good head, dark eye, good front angles, depth for age, well held topline with good rear angulation, moved well. RCC. YD (4,2) 1 Rose’s Ridanflight Rock On Tommy, cobbier type, nice head, long neck, good angles both ends, good depth, harsh coat, moved best of the two; 2 Haywood & Howell’s Fallowhill Cambera, long neck, moderate angulation both ends, topline needs to tighten on the move, loose elbows on the move. PGD (4,2) 1 Hunt’s Earthseas Billy The Kid, nice type, good head, neck, moderate shoulders & upper arm, level topline, good depth & matching rear angles, moved the best in this class; 2 Rigby’s Waldmeister George, too much stop & a little wide but long neck into good shoulders & upper arm with good depth of body, topline could improve with moderate rear angulation. LD (0). OD (4,2) 1 Rose’s Ch Ridanflight Ricardo, I really liked this dog, masculine & proud of himself, good head, long neck, forechest & shoulder, good depth, well held topline, good rear angles, moved so well. CC; 2 Ch Foxearth Fiddler On The Roof, long head, neck into well laid shoulder with good depth & topline into good quarters, moved well. VD (0).

MPB (4) 1 Phillips’ Clipperdown That’s A Thistle, mature for age, good head, long neck, nice angulation, depth & topline with matching rear angles, moved well. BPB; 2 Shone’s Hanishan Lady Of The Lake, real baby, lovely head, long neck, good angulation, topline & depth, moved well. PB (2) 1 Haywood’s Foxearth Fabracadabra, good head, long neck, nice ribbing, good angles, bone & feet, good topline, moved well in profile; 2 Clement’s Stargang Compania Faberge, moderate head, long neck, moderate angulation, good depth, topline needs to tighten, moved OK in profile, not happy, had a false pregnancy. JB (4,2) 1 Daykin’s Barratini Chatter, feminine bitch, good head, neck, shoulder, ribbing, length & topline, matching rear angulation with good bone, moved well. RCC; 2 Meredith’s Deepdax Lets Dance, good head, long neck, good front & forechest, level topline, good rear angles, not the length of keel of 1. Moved OK. YB (5,2) 1 Shelley’s Ubu Frida Kahlo to Heleanne, nice type, lovely coat, good head, long neck, moderate angles both ends, good topline, needs to drop into herself, moved OK; 2 Kay’s Kaytian Kissed By Fire, nice head, dark eye, nice shape, a bit over stripped, nice depth, moved OK. PGB (10,4) 1 Meredith’s Deepdax Perrie, very nice type, good head, front & rear angles, nice depth & firm topline, could have more forechest, moved well; 2 Blackburn’s Stargang Liberty Belle, lovely bitch, feminine long head & neck, very good angulation both topline, depth, underline was let down by the floor. LB (6,3) 1 Russell’s Russteck So Fair A Dream, good headed, dark eye, long neck with good angulation both ends, could have more forechest, level topline with good depth, nice underline, moved well; 2 Morris’ Pennyware Top Totti, nice head, long neck, mobile shoulder, nice depth, topline & rear angles, not the underline of 1; 3 Derry’s Waldmeister Annie. OB (12,6) 1 Blackburn’s Stargang Compania Faberge, lovely bitch, long head & neck into super angles, both ends held together with good ribbing, level topline, moved so well with drive behind. CC, BOB; 2 Hayward’s Ch Foxearth Fatma Salkan, super red, good head, neck into correct angulation, topline & depth, moved well; 3 Shone’s Phantasia Lady. VB (2) 1 Dance’s Emem All Het Up, nice typy bitch, good head, long neck, topline, good angles & forechest, underline, well muscled, moved best. BV; 2 Walker’s Deepdax In The Red at Roselle, lovely old lady, long head, good angles, topline & feet, moved well.
