My thanks to the Club for this appointment and their hospitality. Also to my 2 very competent Stewards. A friendly well run show.

With this appointment in view I have not watched the judging specifically for the last 6 months so I could come with “fresh eyes”. All were shown in clean condition, a few needed nail clipping.

 My main concern was movement; some looked good stacked but when they moved did not drive. Fortunately there was no high stepping front movement.

All mouths were correct.

 Only one dog was well over weight, by a pound.

Some classes were difficult to judge so hairs were split.

I thank the exhibitors for their entries and acceptance of my placings.

17-VETERAN D/B (4 1A) All these girls were in tip top condition; moved so well showing the youngsters how it should be done; all moved with  drive

1- Dance`s Emem All Het Up-Rec CC and BV, also BV in show. 10 years of age and so enjoying herself. Balanced head into clean shoulders. Good ribbing, strong loin and rear angulation. A good top and underline. Her movement was a delight to see –hence the RCC

2- Walker`s Deepdax In The Red at Roselle; a houndy feminine girl; good head with a dark almond eye; good forechest, strong topline kept on the move; she moved so well.

3- Kirkwood`s Ubu Isla At Helydon

1- Crow`s Compania Pandora- Another who moved out well. A little portly today and her coat just coming through. Long ribbing into a well angulated rear. Tight well padded feet.

19-MINOR PUPPY DOG (2) Difficult decision between these boys.

1-Thorn-Andrews Alncroft Over The Moon Drakesleat BP Dog BPOB–balanced head , good reach of neck, well placed shoulders, strong ribbing, short loin. Moved out with drive on well padded feet.

2- Rose`s Kmai Conundrum At Ridanflight –same applies, well angulated rear. Still a minor puppy. Coat well presented.

20-PUPPY DOG ( 4)

1- Flowers & Smith Vostock Zapad Viking For Bingobongo; striking B/T with excellent harsh coat; darkest almond eyes in well balanced head. Well placed shoulders; kept a level topline and underline on the move but did not like this floor.

2- Clare`s Lordscairnie Love God; good reach of neck into well placed shoulders. Strong body with long ribbing and short loin. Shown and presented well.

3- Furneaux`s Bassodon Zugwang

21-JUNIOR DOG (3) Best class of the day

1- Kugow & Holt`s Waldmeister Aldo DCC and BOB, RBIS. Strong head and neck; well placed shoulders, muscled body into well angulated rear. Moved with such drive, a delight to see, kept a strong topline and underline on the move. Well presented in hard condition. Could work all day.

2- Hayward`s Foxearth Filharmonic –RCC. Another shown in hard condition who could move well. He needed time to settle but once settled showed off his assets. Good houndy head, strong neck, balanced body, well angulated rear.

3- Hunt`s Earthseas Wolf`s Bane –close up with the winners.

22-YEARLING DOG (3)

1- Rose`s Rock On Tommy-Good reach of neck, strong topline, well muscled body, tight feet, excellent coat.

2- Russel`s Russteck Wyre In The Blood, balanced head with dark eye. Good leathers, strong neck, well placed shoulders. Moved out well.

3- Garrity`s Russteck Wyred For Sound at Macushia

1- Howell`s Fallowmill Sydney –compact boy with a balanced head, almond eye, good front,elegant neck, good ribbing and tail set. Coat excellent.

2- Spence& Kirkwood Emery`s Helydon Goharley At Cicada- really gave me the eye !  Nice head with almond eye, strong neck into clean shoulders,he move out well

3- Smith`s Bingobongo Gregory

25-OPEN DOG ( 8  1A)lovely class of boys who gave way to youth today. Little to choose between these. A great credit to their owners.

1- Rose`s Ch Ridanflight Ricardo; A lovely hound, everything there. Balanced head, good reach of neck, strong body, well angulated rear, tight feet.Coat well presented.

2- Thorn-Andrews Ch Drakesleat JP Once In A Blue Moon –Loved his head; well placed shoulders, strong body. Angulated rear, good tailset.

3- Hayward`s Ch Foxearth Fidler On The Roof

1- Jones`s Bimini Blue Moon –quite mature for her age and very houndy but feminine. Strong head. Good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, well bodied. Good rear angulation. Moved out well.

2- Hunt`s Earthseas Miss Esme; same comments apply, so houndy. Has a good front once relaxed. Little to choose. Coat well presented

3- Pain`s Rusteck Nicely Nicely For Ravensbeech

1- Marston-Teal`s Lordscairnie Lifes New Love;BPB well handled and presented. Won on her movement and overall balance. Well bodied with good ribbing and muscled body, strong rear angulation for a puppy.

2- Black`s Bassodon Dodecahedron –lovely baby, immature at the moment but look forward to her maturing, really houndy.Beautiful head with dark eye,Well presented, coat good, strong bone and tight feet.

3- Flowers & Smith`s Crème de La crème Sandra Bullock

2- Phillip`s Clippadown Thatsa Thistle -.nearly ready to have her coat out . Beautiful head and expression. Obviously well excercised by her well muscled body and excellent movement. Tight well padded feet.

1- Meredith`s Deepdax Lets Dance –smart head into good shoulders. Well bodied  and muscled,with a most excellent coat –a credit to her owners. Moved out well.

2- Thorn- Andrews Ch Drakesleat Stitch In Time –strong up to 1. Balanced head into clean shoulders, well bodied, good rear.Level topline kept on move.

3- Daykin`s Barratini Chatters

1- Meredith`s Deepdax Perrie; balanced head into good shoulder placement. Strong body which was well muscled; good rear angulation. Not moving her best today –the floor and noise affected quite a few dogs today. Superb presentation.

2- Dance`s Bimini Time To Travel to Emem-litlle to choose, both with a good top and underline but not liking the floor.

3- Salisbury`s Barratini Hot Chick at Brocklewood

2- Marston –Teals Lordscairnie Life Of Love –close up to 1. Today not moving as I know she can. Balanced head into clean shoulders, well bodied and good rear angulation.
