I was honoured to be invited to judge the Mini Wires at this club show. There were some  beautiful Dachshunds shown today with depth of quality in the bitches. In some classes I was spoilt for choice, l

 difficult decisions in some classes with several excellent ones to chose from. Many thanks to my steward Ian Seath for keeping the ring running smoothly.

Sp Beg D/B

1. Gilkes' Ridanflight Rockin Rita, Brindle bitch with good typical head, nice dark eye and good ear placement. Good length of neck leading to well laid shoulder. Unfortunately not not cooperating with her handler today.
2. Ashcrot's Byabye Beatitudine, red bitch with a rather soft coat. Could benefit from some ringcraft classes.

1. Fulton's Bothlyn Super Trouper, this young dog has a lovely houndy head with pleasing dark eye and well placed ears. Reachy neck and good front assembly, plenty of bone. Well developed rib and nice level topline, tail carried a bit proud but is set on well. Moved well.
2. Kirkwood-Emery's Helydon Laird Loki, a little bit unsettled today but good strong head with dark eye. Good front with pro sternum, a little wide in front but sound.

1. Russell's Rusteck The Bruce, brindle with a lovely harsh coat, beautiful strong houndy head with bold expression. Strong well developed body, good topline held well on the move, good bone and neat feet, very smart puppy.

1. Furneaux' Bassoden Zugzwang, nice quality dog with typical head, plenty of ribbing, pro sternum and excellent topline. Good angles front and rear, moved well.
2. Flowers & Smith's Vostock-Zapad Viking for Bingobongo, another pleasing dog with a nice harsh coat. Pleasing masculine head with kind dark eye, good length of neck and well laid shoulder. Strong body, moved well.
3. Thorn Andrews Ch Alncroft Over the Moon

1. Clare's Lordscarnie Love God, excellent all round, lots to like about this dog, nice masculine head with dark eye and well placed ear. Correct shoulder placement and good angles all round. Strong topline and he moved well.

1. Jones' Ch Bimini Starstruck, an excellent quality dog well deserving of his title. Lots to like about him, beautiful typical masculine head with, strong jaw, dark eye, good reachy neck blending into well placed shoulders. Plenty of forechest, deep keel and good ribbing. Nice level topline, tail carried nicely and he moved very well. Lovely harsh coat. Delighted to award him the CC.
2. Rose's Ch Ridanflight Ricardo, superb dog in lovely condition, classic head with lovely dark eye and kind expression. Lovely outline, good angles all round, strong top and underline. Good bone and neat feet, moved well with good tail carriage. He is sire and grandsire of many of my winners here today. Well deserved RCC.
3. Thorn Andrews ch Drakesleat On the Nod

1. Phillips' Ch Curtisey Boogy Woogy, lovely dog with lots to like about him, strong head, correct front leading to strong well developed body. Moved and showed well, keen and enthusiastic. BV
2. Fulton's Ch Bothlyn Brigadoon, excellent quality dog with all the attributes of a champion however I would have liked a harsher coat. Moved and showed well.

1. Mullen's Starhill Flirty Girty, promising puppy with lots to like about her. Correct feminine head with dark eye and well placed ears. Good shoulder placement, good bone and neat feet. Lovely topline and tail carriage, moved well.
2. Russell's Pontecherry I Wanabee Russteck, another excellent quality puppy, Strong feminine head, good length of neck which flows nicely into her well laid shoulder. Well developed body with a good coat. Moved well.

1. Daykin's Barratini Angels Eve, a beautiful puppy that I would be proud to own, she must surly go to the top. Correct typical head with kind, dark almond shaped eye and strong jaw. Reachy neck leading to well placed shoulder and well developed prosternum. Good bone, elbows neatly tucked in and good ribs. Lovely strong topline and good underline. Pleasing angles front and back and she moved so well. Lovely harsh coat in great condition. Very happy to award her RCC and BPIB.
2. Jones' Bimini Wish Upon a Star, another lovely puppy destined for top honours and by the same sire as 1, very similar in type and many of the same attributes. Lovely feminine well balanced head, good length of neck and correct front assembly. Well developed rib, strong topline and good underline also. Moved well, another one bound for top awards.
3. Grant's Granhoward Ownly

1. Dance's Emem Gloria Sunshine, what a lovely bitch, another one I would like to take home ! This bitch really filled my eye and is hard to fault. Correct head with strong jaw, nice dark almond eye. Excellent shoulder placement, good prosternum, deep keel  and well developed rib. Superb harsh coat in tip top condition. Beautiful strong body, topline and quarters, lovely mover showing attitude and presence, giving her best to win the CC and BOB. I'm sure it won't be long before she wins her title. 
2. Jones Bimini Blue Moon, this one a little longer cast through her body but she has a lovely typical head, strong jaw and good dentition. Well laid shoulders and good bone and feet. Lovely outline and moved really well.
3. Grant's Granhoward Ethel,

1. Marston-Teal's Lordscarnie Lifes New Love, Lots to like about this one, nice feminine head, good neck and forehand and well developed body. Nice hard coat in good condition. She moved well with enthusiasm.
2. Kirkwood-Emery's Helydon Jinglebells, very feminine with lighter build all round, feminine head with pleasing expression, good angles all round but would like a bit more of her all over. 
3. Pain's Rusteck Nicely Nicely for Ravensbeech.

1. Thorn Andrews Drakesleat Gilder Lily, beautiful feminine head and lovely front assembly, well developed rib and strong topline held on the move but a little too low to ground for me to award top honours. 
2. Meredith's Deepdax Let's Dance,  out of a larger mould than 1, typy and well balanced with a pleasing head and bright expression. Good forechest and keel, good angles front and rear. Moved soundly.
3. Selley's Ubu Isabella for Heleanne

1. Thorn Andrews Ch Drakesleat Stitch in Time, very typy well balanced quality bitch. Typical head with strong jaw and nice expression. Strong muscular neck, well developed front and rib. Strong body holding a good topline on the move. Well deserves her title.
2. Jones' Bimini From Russia With Love, very close up to 1, another strong well developed bitch with pleasing head and expression. Good top and underline, moved well.
