I was pleased with my winners, but I did find several
with short ribcages, and in my opinion, some are too short in leg with
little ground clearance which would impede their movement if they were
tracking on rough ground. A few were rather timid which lost them the chance
of top honours.
PD (1) 1 Kay's Kaytian Tempest Over Haiti. 7 month red,
very nice head and eye, good neck, front ok with sufficient keel, tight
feet, good coat, ribbing could go a tad further back, moved relatively well
despite the longish grass, showed well.
JD (3, 1) 1 Thorn-Andrews' Alncroft Over The Moon
Drakesleat. Lovely 12 month youngster, good head and eye, plenty of keel,
strong front and shoulders and well ribbed, correct length into strong
hindquarters, excellent coat, moved soundly if a little anxious to start
with. 2 Hunt's Earthseas Wolf's Bane. Red coat, harsh enough, ribbing could
be longer, he is long in loin, moved out well, a little close behind.
LD (4, 1) 1 Crossman's Tythe Black Bee. Black and tan,
really liked him,e has a good head and lovely dark eye, correct front and
keel, tight feet, ribs go well back, in good jacket with a strong topline
and used himself well on the move, a little close going away. Res CC. 2
Stephenson's Ohotnichyi Azart Fahrenheit Von Eistex (Imp). Another well made
dog, nice head, good front and feet, looked very nice stood but dropped his
topline a bit on the move, super coat. 3 Grant's Granhoward Edward.
OD (3, 1) 1 Thorn-Andrews' Ch Drakesleat Hostile
Takeova. Upstanding young dog, harsh heavy coat, good head and eye,
excellent front and keel, he has good ground clearance, ribs go well back
into good loin and strong hindquarters. CC. 2 Feetham's Kimbleholme Jackpot.
Another nicely headed dog with a good front, shorter on leg and sank into
the grass on the stack, moved well in front, a bit close behind.
PB (8, 3) 1 Daykin's Barratini Angels Eve. Lovely 6
month brindle, very pretty head, sufficient keel and tight feet, in good
jacket with ribbing going well back and strong hindquarters, must have a
bright future. BP. 2 Grant's Granhoward Ethel. Another pretty youngster,
longer in loin, she has a fabulous coat and is well ribbed, not really
concentrating in the ring which did not help her movement, nice outline but
not as strong behind as the winner. 3 Hunt's Earthsea Miss Givings.
JB (4) 1 Black's Bassodon Dodecahedron. Brindle, 13
months old, nicely headed bitch with a good neck and shoulders, correct
length, well ribbed, in good coat. 2 Feetham's Kimbleholme Black Queen.
Black/tan, 13 months with a good head and eye, correct front, ribs go well
back. shorter in leg so looked as though she was almost lying flat in the
longish grass.
PGB (4) 1 Kirkwood-Emery's Helydon Jinglebells. Super
coated dark brindle, very good head and eye, nice shape and sufficient keel,
well ribbed and moved well, inspite of the grass, liked this young bitch and
she challenged hard for the Res CC. I shall watch her progress. 2
Mallinson's Drakesleat Have A Yearn For You. Another nice bitch, longer
caste, not helping her handler as she was standing like a rocking horse on
the stack, sufficient keel and ribbing, lower to ground, moved out well. 3
Meredith's Deepdax Perrie.
LB (6) 1 Selley's Ubu Belrus Nahla T Heleanne. This
bitch has a wonderful almost pin wire coat with a good shape to head and
outline, correct front and keel, well ribbed and good feet and hindquarters,
moved out very well but let herself down in the challenge by hunching up and
losing her topline. 2 Billinghurst's Drakesleat Mrs Shilling At Jiljac JW. A
lovely head on this bitch, excellent front and ribbing, lovely type and
shape, did not stride out as my winner on the move. 3 Daykin's Barratini
Chatters.
OB (4) 1 Kirkwood Emery's Helydon Fabulous Freya. Loved
this young lady as she entered the ring and she did not disappoint, super
head and neck, good front and tight feet, well ribbed and in good jacket,
never stopped showing and moved round the ring with style. CC and BOB, and
delighted to see her shortlisted in the Hound Group later on. 2
Thorn-Andrews' Ch Drakesleat Stitch In Time. Another lovely bitch with a
super head and neck good front and feet and very well ribbed, not as steady
on the move as my winner, good strong hindquarters. Res CC. 3 Feetham's
Kimbleholme Queen Of Hearts.
VB (1) 1 Feetham's Kimbleholme Solitaire. Pretty bitch,
7 year old, coat a little soft. moved out well, stands close to ground,
could strengthen in hind movement.
