I think breeders in this variety need to keep in mind the ideal weight of a Miniature Dachshund. Many today were over the weight limit, not thin by any means, just too big. My main winners were fine in that respect, so it can be done.

PD (5) 1 Jones & Jones' Carlita Sunrise. Good head and eye shape, dark eye, good neck, fair front construction, good ribbing, rather long in loin, well balanced quarters which he used on the move, rather overcome by noise today. 2 Russell's Russteck All Eyes On Me. Lovely heada nd eye, good neck and forechest, good bone and ribbing. I felt he could have more length of upper thigh to balance his quarters, needs to settle on the move and make more of himself. 3 Kent's Barratini Ready To Rumble At Lokmadi.

JD (3) 1 Kirkwood-Emery's Helydon Laird Loki. Very well balanced boy of excellent breed type, good length to head, good neck, well laid shoulder, prominent forechest, good bone and feet, very well balanced quarters, moved very soundly with correct reach and drive. My CC and BOB. 2 Fulton & Fulton's Bothlyn Super Trouper. Good head and neck, correct eye shape and colour, good pro sternum and ribbing, carried well back, just lacks a little in second thigh and lacks correct drive. 3 Feetham's Kimbleholme King Of Hearts.

LD (2) 1 Russell's Russteck The Bruce. Fair head, bit too round in eye shape, good neck, a little forward placed in shoulder and short of upper arm, good bone, ribbing carried well back, well balanced hindquarters, excellent coat, moved soundly. 2 Tomsett's Dajean Starstruck. Rather a big lad, fair head, fuller eye, would prefer a better shoulder, good bone and ribbing, balanced quarters, good coat, moved ok. OD (4) 1 Rose's Ch Ridanflight Ricardo. Typy dog with good jacket, just lacked a little drive in rear today. I preferred the all round balance and correct outline of the junior dog, but nevertheless a good honest dog, presented and handled well. Res CC. 2 Feetham's Kimbleholme Jackpot. Decent head, bit full in eye shape, good neck, upper arm rather steep, excellent length of ribbing, good bone, good balance to rear angulation, moved soundly. 3 Russell's Russteck Wyre In The Blood.

PB (8, 2) 1 Morris' Stargang Peggy Sue At Pennywave. Decent balance to head, good neck and shoulder placement, good forechest and ribbing, very good balance to hindquarters, kept a nice outline on the move, could have harsher jacket. BP. 2 Russell's Russteck Dancing In The Dark. Good head, almond eye, good neck, good bone and ribs carried well back, lacks pro sternum and upper arm, fair hindquarters, losing outline on move. 3 Howells' Fallowmill Indian Runner.

JB (4, 2) 1 Tomsett's Dajean's Happy Sunbeam, Red bitch with a good jacket, good head and eye, good forechest and ribbing, good bone, good angulation and balance to quarters, moved well when she settled. 2 Feetham's Kimbleholme Pot Of Luck. Balanced bitch but for me a little lacking in length of tibia and upper arm, she has a fair head, decent neck and ribbing, lack of angulation meant she was rather close in movement.

PGB (4) 1 Daykin's Barratini Angels Eve. Brindle bitch of correct size, would prefer longer head, decent neck and shoulder, good pro sternum and ribbed well back, a very balanced bitch of good type, sound. 2 Blackburn's Lamark Peggy At Stargang NAF TAF (Imp). Good head and eye, good front and forechest, good bone and ribbing, good quarters, nice outline on the move but lacked muscletone. On the large side. 3 Hunt's Earthsea Miss Givings.

LB (9, 1) 1 Jones' Bimini Blue Moon Jw. Long head, correct dark almond eye, good neck, good lay of shoulder, would prefer more length of upper arm, good bone and ribbing, good hind angulation, good harsh coat, good outline with good drive. Res CC. 2 Daykin's Barratini Chatters. Fair head and eye, good forechest and ribbing, good balance to shoulder angulation, would prefer more length of tibia to balance hind angulation and improve drive. 3 Mallinson's Drakesleat Have A Yen For You.

OB (8) 1 Blackburn-Bennett's Ch Stargang Catch The Rainbow. Presents a lovely outline on the stack, lovely head, dark almond eye, long neck, good lay of shoulder, would prefer better return of upper arm, excellent bone and ribbing, balanced quarters, sound. CC. 2 Kirkwood-Emery's Ch Helydon Fabulous Freya. Different type of bitch to the winner but many of the same remarks apply, except not quite as elegant and rather high tail set, but overall a quality bitch. 3 Dance's Emem Gloria Sunshine JW.
