Thank you to the committee for asking me to judge today. This my first time awarding CC in Miniature Wires. I was very impressed by the quality of the exhibits, some coats were a little sparse but the time of year and the fact that Crufts is on the horizon I took this into consideration, teeth on the whole were good, some could be cleaner, temperaments were wonderful. I was looking for a Standard in Miniature which I think I found in all my principle winners.

Veteran Dog or Bitch 3 Entries 1 Absent

1 Dance’s: Emen All Het Up; A lovely girl who unbelievably is 10 ½, she moves like a youngster, very smart, moving freely with good drive behind, in excellent coat & held her topline well, clearly still enjoys showing

2 Phillips: Ch Curtisey Boogy Woogy; Immaculately presented brindle, excellent coat, held his shape on the move, preferred the hind movement of 1

Minor Puppy Dog 1 Entry

1 Hayward’s: Foxearth Fantastic Mr Fox; 8 month red with a harsh coat, masculine head, dark eye and pigmentation, very good outline, good neck, which flowed into his topline, very good bone, free mover but a little unsettled at times on this floor, BPD

Puppy Dog (2 entries)

1 Feetham’s: Kimbleholme King Of Hearts; 8month Red with a very good coat, liked his head and eye, with good pigment, good front with long length of well sprung ribs & level topline, moved well, just preferred his overall outline.

2 Kirkwood-Emery’s: Helydon Laird Loki; Brindle, pleasing head & front, good neck which flowed into topline, coat not at it’s best will improve, presented a balanced picture, moved well

Junior Dog (3 Entries 1 Absent)

1 Reilly’s: Phyvars Winston: Brindle, liked his head balance, beautiful eyes, ears and expression, strong foreface, good front and tight feet, excellent ribbibing, not overdone in length of loin, moved soundly both ways

2 Kay’s: Kaytian Tempest over Hiati; Very similar to 1 in many ways, not as good in front but excelled in hindquarters, pleasing head & long neck, correct topline, didn’t have the quite the hind drive of 1

Yearling Dog (5 entries 3 absent)

1 Kugow & Holt’s: Ch Waldmeister Aldo Jw; Brindle 24months caught my eye when he entered the ring, super wire coat, masculine conical head, correct prominent pro-sternum with dimple each side, underline leading to well sprung ribs, good length, well angulated , moved with purpose, certainly fit for function RCC

2 Furneaux’s: Bassodon Zugzwang; Brindle with harsh coat, strong head, pleasing proportions, would prefer a little more reach of neck, good length of ribbing, move well, not the hind movement of 1

Post Graduate Dog ( 4 entries 1 Absent)

1 Hayward & Howell’s: Fallowmill Cambera; Sound exhibit, good conical head, correct dark eye, good front assembly with well sprung ribs & correct angulation in the rear, moved well both ways

2 Rigby’s: Waldmeister George; Brindle with a beautiful head & expression in excellent condition, well ribbed with well angulated rear, well set on tail, lacked drive in movement today,

3 Garrity’s: Russteck Wyred For Sound At Macushia

1 Clare’s: Lordscarnie Love God; Strong masculine head, correct dark eye, prominent pro-sternum, ,with dimple, good underline& good length of keel, well ribbed, good length of loin & muscled rump, moved with drive

2 Spence & Kirkwood-Emery: Helydon Goharley At Cicada; A well made dog, nice head & eye, good front, well ribbed, balanced movement, with good reach, kept his topline on the move, pushed hard for first place just preferred the outline & tailset of 1

2 Jones: Ch Bimini Starstruck; Most of the above comments apply to this dog, not surprising as they are father & son, I liked his head & eye, super front & underline, well off for ribbing, sound mover, just preferred the overall presence of 1

1 Jones: Bimini Blue Moon; Lovely bitch of the make I like, best front movement of the class, pleasing head & expression, clean flowing lines, correct level topline, good underline, good length, width & overall proportions, moved with freedom.

2 Grant’s: Granhoward Ethel; Typy all through with nothing exaggerated, soundly constructed in front with good width, sound body with spring, depth & good length of ribbing, firm topline with broad well angled hindquarters. Moved true both ways.

1 Blackburn-Bennet: Stargang Catch The Rainbow; This girl took my eye as soon as she entered the ring, I was not disappointed when I put my hands on her everything flowed, lovely sparkling Red, she has a beautiful conical head, lovely dark mischievous eye & pigment, well constructed front, her neck flows into well placed shoulders, firm topline, her hind movement won her this class CC & BOB

2 Morris: Pennywave Uptown Girl Jw ShCm; Unfortunate to meet 1 in such sparkling form, brindle with a femine head, lovely depth of forechest & keel, good reach of neck & correct shoulder placement, nicely rounded rump, good hind angulation, lost out to 1 on hind movement.
