My thanks to my able steward K. Herington for keeping things running smoothly.
It is some time since judging this variety and overall I was pleased with the entry.
Size was uniform and without exception, temperaments were good. All exhibits were well presented and teeth were clean. However some were rather jaded towards the end and flagged a little due to this variety being third in the ring. Something I would like to comment on is that heads were very good and appealed with good expression.
Veteran d or b 1
1st Kirkwood Emery Helydon Jinglebells 7 yr bitch with very good head. Well presented with harsh coat. Well off for bone and good ribbing. Moved out well. Extremely well handled by her young handler which was a pleasure to see.
Puppy dog 3,1
1st Howell’s Fallowmill Time Traveller. Loved this upstanding 10 months dog. He moved out so well and soundly keeping his lovely outline on the stack and on the move. Lovely head and reach of neck. Very good shoulder construction and well angulated behind. A lovely package and I liked him a lot. Should have a bright future. BP and Res.cc
2nd Livingston and Westwood: Rednapp Sandbanks. Good harsh jacket. Well proportioned and well boned. Good front, a very nice package but couldn’t match the movement of 1st.
Junior dog 1
1st Sexton and Da Silva: Molloney Woody or Won’t he at Ertekas. Young upstanding dog with harsh jacket. Presented a very good outline on the move and on the stack. Very good shoulder placement with enough forechest. Lovely reach of neck. Altogether very nice indeed. Moved out well.
Yearling dog 2,1
1st Arbennik: Pol Eriskay at Brynfaw. This dog looked good on the move. Good coat with good head and expression. Good overall proportions with good hind angulation. Showed very well.
P Grad 3,1
1st Kirkwood: Beetle juice Vitoraz at Helydon (imp C2E) More of a continental type but has a lot to offer here. Young wheaten dog with a good coat and excellent dark pigment. Most appealing head and expression. He moved around the ring with verve and vigour which won him the class.
2nd Livingston and Westwood: Lordscairnie Love Destiny at Hopewood. Very good head and shoulder placement with good overall proportions. Well presented but needed to stride out more for me.
Limit 3
This was a difficult class and I found the first two difficult to separate. Both have many attributes and I am sure they will change places in the future. Both were well presented with lovely outlines on the stack and on the move.
1st Blackburn’s Stargang Plutonium. Lovely young dapple who is most attractive throughout with lovely shape and proportions. I felt he had the edge with his free flowing movement.
2nd Black’s: Boothlyn Back in Black Bassoden. Lovely bt who is all of a piece, very attractive an d appealing. Extra harsh jacket with very appealing head. Moved out soundly and well but I felt first was moving effortlessly through the grass.
3rd Hawkins’: Martinks Storm in a teacup.
Open 3
A lovely class of champion dogs.
1st Kirkwood-Emery: ch.Helydon Laird Loki JW This 6 ½ year old did not look his age and looked lovely from every angle. Won this excellent class on his overall free flowing movement today and could not be denied the cc.
2nd Thorn-Andrews and Billinghurst: ch. Drakesleat Kumquat May. Lovely proportioned dog with beautiful head and expression but could not match the movement of my cc winner.
3rd Pain: ch. Ravensbeech Buckleugh
Special Beginner’s Dog or Bitch 1

Good class of babies of all ages and sizes.
1st Thorn-Andrews: Drakesleat See no Evil. This puppy really appealed being so well proportioned . She is extremely stylish and well put together with excellent depth and length of ribbing. She has a beautiful reach of neck. I felt in the challenge she was not giving of her best.
2nd Howell: Fallowmill Story Time. Neat little package who has a lovely shape stacked and on the move. Moved out well. Very good head and expression. Should do well.
3rd Clement: Dottie Scarlett Delight.

Limit 3
1st Blackburn: Stargang Sappire and Steel. Such a well proportioned dapple. She was a real tail wagger which was nice to see. Lovely head, expression and excellent reach of neck. So very stylish stacked and on the move. res. Cc
2nd Russell: Eyes the one Russteck. Lovely bitch, all of a piece. Presented such a good outline stacked and on the move. She really appealed but I felt she was carrying a shade too much weight over her shoulders which detracted from the overall picture.
3rd Stephenson: Wistex Taking it Easy.
Open 6,1
Such a quality class down the line.
1st Thorn Andrews: ch. Drakesleat too gud to be true. This bitch is so well put together and consequently so very sound. She looked so stylish from every angle and could not on the day be denied the the cc and bob.
2nd Blackburn: ch. Stargang Witches Shadow. Again very stylish and appealed from all angles. Lovely red with the darkest of pigment. Held her elegant outline at all times and was very sound but on the day I felt 1st had the edge on the move.
3rd Jones: Bimini Chasing Moon beams
Good Citizen
1st Starkey: ch. Carpaccio Jasper from Hamoura. Lovely veteran smooth boy. So well put together and correct size. Kept his lovely shape stacked and on the move . One to be proud of.
