It is always an honour to be invited to judge this beautiful breed. I want to thank the Officers and Committee for inviting me, plus all the exhibitors for giving me this lovely entry. I was looking for the same free movement and poise in all classes, therefore, I may repeat myself in this critique.  Exhibits were all in good condition and presented well.  There were no bad mouths

DOGS

Graduate (1)

1st:- Kent’s Barratini Du Beke at Lokmadi. Moved nice and steady, and with ease. Handsome head and expression. Well deserved win

Post Graduate (1)

1st:- Fulton’s Bothlyn Trail Blaze. Very unsettled and gallopped a bit on the damp grass, and wasn’t paying much attention to his handler. However, when he settled down he showed signs of a promising boy

Limit (2)

1st:- Blackburn’s Stargang Plutonium. Really well handled to get the best of him. Moved very well and a lovely overall shape and outline

2nd:- Sexton & Dasilva’s Molloney Woody or Won’t He at Ertekes. Could have swapped places. A bit low to the ground and would have preferred more space underneath. Still a handsome dog

Open (2)

1st:- Dance’s Ch Emem Solar Pewer JW. Very smart dog. Moved with ease and was an obvious winner for me. Lovely overall shape. Well ribbed, correct prominent breast bone. Kept his good topline at all times. In top condition. Lovely to see handler and dog working so well together. DCC

2nd:- Black’s Bothlyn Back in Black Bassodon. Not quite as steady and confident as winner, but unlucky all the same to be in 2nd place

Veteran (1)

1st:- Kirkwood-Emery’s Ch Helydon Laird Loki JW. Really smart and handsome dog. A ‘young’ veteran, I think his first time out. Moved well in the class but then showed off to perfection in the line-up BVIB & RDCC ( later VG2)

BITCHES

Puppy (3)

1st:- Kilroy’s Rozelle Rosalie at Janacop. A difficult class between 1 & 2.Both had good points, but this one moved better today to win. A promising puppy to look out for in the furure. BPIB

2nd:- Mills-Jones’s Carlita Jellie Baby. A close call, but just lost out today on strong back movement

3rd:- Hambling’s Tythe Tic Toc Around Chaseover.

Junior (3)

1st:- Kirkwood’s Helydon Vexy Vixen. Again, a difficult class, but this one just won on better movement. Nice typical smart feminine head and alert expression.

2nd:- Rose’s Barritini Song and Dance with Rosencrantz. Nice overall and very typical of the breed. Just not quite as free in movement and with less enthusiasm.

3rd:- Sieminski’s Dajean Surely A Vision.

Yearling (3)

1st:- Kirkwood-Emery’s Helydon Tartan Talula JW.  Good overall shape and outline. Smart girl in lovely condition.

2nd:- McDermott’s Bardot’s Brigitte (Imp Swe)  A pretty bitch who unfortunately did not quite get into her stride today.

3rd:- Rose’s Barratini Song and Dance with Rosencrantz.

Graduate (4)

1st:- Dance’s Emem Hope for Sunshine JW. Won this class with ease. Moved very steady and free. Good head, correct ear set, dark eye, and shown in great condition. So well handled with lovely flowing strides. Stepped out well with confidence.  Considered for top honours

2nd:- Kilroy’s Do Smarties at Janacop.  Nice overall with good outline. Not quite the free movement as winner, but could have changed places another time

3rd:- McIntosh’s Ceffylmor Ardanberg.

Post Grad  (2)

1st :- Kirkwood’s Helydon Vexy Vixen.  As first in Junior

2nd:- Stephenson’s Bothlyn Sweet Missy at Wistex.  Could any time have won the class, a close call.  Just not quite as steady in rear, but moved well in profile.

Limit (4)

1st :- Kilroy’s Blackvein Rambler at Janacop.  A mixed class, but all worthy of winning. First in great condition with good coat. Very pretty & feminine, with dark eye. Definately had ring presence. Was please to give her the BCC

2nd :- Kirkwood’s Helydon Quickstep Queeni. Unlucky to meet winner, Lovely overall shape, length and pretty head.

3rd :- Stephenson’s Molloney Winnie Tergames at Wistex.

Open (5)

1st:- Stephenson’s Wistex Taking It Easy. A really lovely class of 3 very different girls. Movement was sound and steady. Very typical in body and outline. RBCC

2nd:- Whitehouse’s Ir Ch Gralinn Sunshine Dancer Cw 23 Cjw 23.  Very unlucky to come against my winner. Nice head and expression. Unfortunately she was too interested in the ground and didn’t keep her head up today which spoilt the topline while moving

3rd :- Dance’s Emem Letty Bee Sunshine JW ShCEx OSW.
