It was an honour to be invited to judge at the 80Th
anniversary show of my local club. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and had some
lovely dogs to assess. Thanks to my very competent ring steward and to the
sporting exhibitors for their bumper entry. I was pleased with all of the
exhibits, who were presented in a clean, tidy condition, there were no dirty
teeth, though there were a couple of questionable bites. Temperaments were very
good, though a couple objected to the very noisy hall. Dog CC Stargang Plutonium

very smart , well balanced 7 yo dog with good head, and reach of neck running
into correct shoulder placement Well ribbed back with a short loin and strong,
powerful hind quarters. He moved well keeping a level topline and I was
delighted to see him awarded reserve best veteran in show Minor Puppy Dog 1 1Kay
Katian The Suncaller Red,8 month old puppy at his first show, Nicely made all
through, with good head , strong hindquarters, and moving with drive, just a
slightly softer coat at the moment. Puppy Dog 2 (1) 1 Jones Bimini Song Sung
Blue Very nice puppy, upset by the noisy hall, but soon settled down. Lovely
head and tight eye, good length of neck and excellent front assembly, long
ribbing, strong hindquarters and moved well. Correct harsh jacket finished the
picture. One to watch for the future BPD and BPIB Junior Dog 2 1 Corominas
Almarxils Diego For Ruichango just out of puppy and another one to watch for the
future. Very smart boy with correct coat, good head and expression, and powerful
hind movement. He kept his outline at all times and moved with drive. I
considered him for higher honours, but feel that he still needs to mature a
little more 2 Corner Carcvorn Raphael’s Racer Another youngster just out of the
puppy class and going through his teenage stage. Good head, long neck and length
of ribbing, just slightly narrower than my winner. Post Graduate Dog 4 (1) 1
Howells Fallowmill Time Traveller JW Well constructed dog with good head, long
neck, and excellent ribbing, Correct angles fore and aft and moving well. Would
have preferred a more prominent prosternum. 2 Tomsett Dajean’s Red Sun Lots to
like about this red boy Not as settled on the table which I forgave as he is
nicely constructed and moves well, just slightly shorter ribbing than 1. 3 James
Jamesfair One Moment in Thyme Limit Dog 7 (3) 1 Gilkes Storton & Storton
Dereheath Shaken Not Stirred well balanced dog, of good type. Good head, length
of neck, prominent prosternum and long ribbing. His front and hind angulation
were good and he moved freely and in harmony with his handler.Seriously
considered him for the CC, his time will come. RCC 2 Kent Barratini Du Beke at
Lokmadi Another nice dog, of good breed type, good head, and well laid back
shoulders, long ribbing and well angulated hind quarters. I just preferred the
freer movement of my winner 3 Tomsett Dajean Surely a Star Open Dog 6 (2) 1
Blackburn Stargang Plutonium well boned and strongly constructed dog of
excellent type. He has a good head and expression, good shoulders long well
sprung ribbing, correct harsh coat and powerful hindquarters he moved with drive
keeping a good outline. CC 2 Dance Ch Emem Solar Power JW another nice boy with
correct harsh coat, good head, long ribbing and well angled hindquarters He
moved well, just preferred the slightly heavier bone of my winner. 3 Tomsett
Dajean Surely A Star Veteran Bitch 1 1 West Byeabye Brillare with Archidax
Nicely made bitch, stripped down to her undies so could not assess coat texture.
Good head, length of neck and well laid back shoulders. She has strong well
angulated hindquarters and moved well. Minor Puppy Bitch 4 Two lovely puppies
headed this class and I’m sure they will change places in the future. Splitting
hairs between these two. 1 Tomsett Hebrideansky Canna by Dajean Lots to like
about this B/T puppy at her first show. Super harsh coat, nice head, good length
of neck, well laid back shoulders and good rear angulation. She moved well. 2
Dance Emem Joyful Sunshine Another lovely baby with the harsh coat typical of
this kennel. She has a lovely head, long ribbing and a well angulated rear. Not
quite as settled on the move as 1, but enjoying her day. 3 Marston Teal
Lordscairnie Peaceful Love Puppy Bitch 8 (2) 1 Kilroy Rozelle Rosalie at
Jannacop Very smart. Well bodied and heavily boned red girl with typical hound
head leading into long neck and good front assembly. She moved well keeping a
good outline, and her super harsh coat completed the picture. One to watch in
the future. BPB 2 Blackburn Stargang Aurora JW Dapple girl, with strong head and
good front, long well sprung ribs, moved well with drive, but not quite the
harsh coat of my winner. 3 Kilroy Do Smarties At Janacop Junior Bitch 12 (2)
Quality class of up and coming youngsters, boding well for the future of the
breed, headed by three lovely bitches, who could easily change places in the
future. 1 Dance Emem Hazel Sunshine JW Attractive young lady with the harsh coat
I was looking for. She has good ground clearance and strong movement with good
reach and drive, keeping a good outline at all times. Well developed pro sternum
and long well sprung ribbing completed the picture. 2 Kirkwood-Emery Helydon
Tartan Talula JW A slightly lighter made model than my winner, with a good head
and expression, well developed fore chest and strong hind quarters, she moved
well and, again, had the lovely harsh coat I was looking for. 3 Crossman &
Kennedy Moonshe May Bee Post Graduate Bitch 11 (3) 1 Howells Fallowmill Story
Time a well made, elegant girl, who pushed hard for top honours, just needs to
mature a little more and she will trouble the best. She had the good front, long
ribbing and strong hindquarters that I was looking for, and moved soundly. 2
Morris Granhoward Phoebe at Pennywave Loved this girl, who was just recovering
from a phantom pregnancy, carrying too much weight over her ribbing, which made
her appear short and stuffy. Her conformation is correct, and when she has
slimmed down she will come into her own. 3 Kirkwood Helydon Vexy Vixen Limit
Bitch 15 (4) 1 Dance Emem Autumnal Sunshine JW well balanced bitch with good
head and expression, long neck leading into well laid back shoulders, and long
well sprung ribbing . Her movement was spot on which won her the class,and she
kept a good outline at all times. 2 Blackburn Stargang Fanfare red girl of sound
construction. Good shoulders, prominent prosternum and long ribbing, I just
preferred the front movement of my winner. 3 Jones Bimini To The Moon and Back
Open Bitch 6 (2) 1 Thorn-Andrews Ch Drakesleat Too Gud To Be True Not a flashy
bitch, but when you go over her you realise just how soundly she is made. Good
front construction with correct shoulders and the tightest of elbows her ribbing
is long and well sprung, and she has strong well muscled hindquarters. Her
powerful movement won her the class and also the CC which I was pleased to learn
afterwards equalled the breed record. It was an easy decision to award her BOB 2
Blackburn Stargang Sapphire and Steel Dapple girl of pleasing construction,
attractive head,well developed front, good angles and long ribbing, but I
preferred the harsher coat of 1 3 West Archidax Dark Phoenix Judge Mrs Maureen
