Best Veteran in Show -
Garlick's Ch Ranglewood Genista
Thank you to the officers & committee for
asking me to decide the final awards for a club which I'm very fond off. The
breed judges Mrs Rhodes & Mrs Whitehouse had sent me through some lovely dogs to
examine. For Best In Show I could not get past an old favorite of mine that had
won through from the veteran class, Garlick's Long Haired Ch Ranglewood Genista,
beautiful B/T girl that carries her years lightly, I had the pleasure of
awarding her The RBCC at Crufts this year, so beautifully put together,
everything fits & your hands flow over her when examining her on the table,
ultra sound, lovely in profile with a very proud head carriage, so well handled
by her young handler, I still love her. Reserve Best In Show was The Min Smooth,
Price's Samlane Desdemona who had won through a good quality breed entry, one I
judged as a baby & she has really grown into a lovely example, good head & dark
almond eye, well arched neck, very good body & ribbing, neat firm hocks. She is
very sound on the move & looks the part in profile. Love her colour & in super
coat & condition. Best Puppy In Show was The Min Long Geeson's Abydachs
Alohomora, attending her first show & full of confidence, balanced & in
proportion, free from exaggeration & so sound on the move, her angles fore & aft
are quite precise for one so young, certainly has an outline on the move that's
easy on the eye, lovely. Reserve Best Puppy In Show was The Min Wire Kay's
Kaytian Tempest Over Haiti, one that has attracted my attention before, really
lovely head & eye, good mouth & strong jaws, well arched neck, elbows nice &
tight, firm topline & correct underline, good height to length ratio's, moves
with purpose & style, in great coat & condition, with luck a very good future
awaits him Daniel Roberts (Swansford)

Puppy (1)
1st – Mrs Y Kent’s Lokmadi
Bowetts Testarosso
8 months old dog with bags of potential. A
nice head with good strong jaw and dentition and a lovely expression. A reachy
neck led into a good front assembly. Good front extension and rear drive,
although rear needs to tighten a little more which, given his age, I am sure
will do. BP
Junior (6, 3a)
1st – Mr P J & Mrs N F Price’s
Samlane Desdemona
Red bitch of nice size and excellent
balance, nothing exaggerated, really appealed to me. A lovely head and eye and
so sound to go over on the table. Good angulation allowing clear extension and
rear drive on the move. In profile she looked a picture, head carried well and
moving smoothly with an excellent topline. Pleased to award her BOB and
very pleased that she went onto RBIS.
2nd - Mrs Y Kent’s Lokmadi
Bowetts Testarosso
3rd – Mrs M A Colclough’s
Stargang Band of Gold
Post Graduate (5, 3a)

Great Joy at Ayseebee
Brindle dog of good size. Pleasing head
and expression. Good front angulation allowing him to move out freely.
2nd- Mrs A Lombardelli’s
Kelmbeck Kaiserin
Black and tan bitch who was slightly
unsettled today. I would prefer a better shaped eye which would make her
expression more appealing. Good rear angulation although she had a tendency to
toe in slightly.
Limit (3)
1st – Mrs Y Kent’s Lokmadi on
Silent Wings JW
Red bitch of nice size who was easily the
best in the class today. She looked lovely in profile showing a good head and
neck. Excellent angulation allowing her to move out really well and holding a
good firm topline.
2nd Mrs W Starkey’s Carpaccio
Just My Luck with Hamoura
Red dog, slightly over the desired weight
today and not demonstrating as good a topline as 1. His movement won him this
placing over 3 today.
3rd Mrs A Lombardelli’s
Kelmbeck De Montespan of Melrising
Open (8, 3a)
1st -Mr A Barrett’s Ch Ayseebee
Rumour Has It

rear allowed him to move out well with a good topline.

Kireton Cici
Black and tan bitch of correct size. A
nice head and expression. Well constructed shoulders with good rear angulation.
Moved well and held a good topline.

flowing in movement keeping a good topline.

Abydachs Kicks Up A Storm
Dark shaded red dog of type that really
appeals to me. Fabulous head and lovely dark eye gives him a super expression.
Masculine but elegant dog with wonderful overall balance and a pleasure to go
over on the table. Excellent front angulation and sufficient rear angulation
allowed free flowing movement with good head carriage making a very pleasing
picture. Very pleased to award him BOB.
2nd - Mr D J, Mrs G & Miss C

balance and proportions. Good angulation and tight feet allowed him to move out
well with good rear drive.

I struggled to
find an exhibit that really appealed to me in this
breed today and generally speaking I found that
qualities shown were often countered by less
pleasing aspects.
Puppy (1,
1a)
Junior (2)
1st
– Mr J Tite’s Rijobeau Caught On Camera
Red bitch with
a good head and neck. I would prefer more ground
clearance but there was sufficient to allow her to
move out well showing good rear drive.
2nd
– Mrs M Stringfellow’s Oxondachs Amethyst at
Silvatica
Black and tan
bitch of smaller type. Good tight well arched feet
and a good top line but lacking rear drive on the
move.
Post
Graduate (2)
1st
Mrs S E & Mr J P Skipper’s Lauralee Artful Dodger
Black and tan
dog rather narrow in front but with good tight
elbows. Free flowing movement not evident today
although he did show some rear drive which won him
the class.
2nd
Mrs T & Miss R Kerry’s Kireton Daisy Belle
Black and tan
bitch with a feminine head but looking rather like a
teenager and not quite altogether today. Movement
lacked drive and she just seemed not at her best.
Limit (4)
1st
- Mrs T & Miss R Kerry’s Kireton Beau Diddley
Black and tan
dog with a good masculine head and good front
assembly. Moved with drive and a level topline.
BOB
2nd

Chocolate dog
with a good head and eye. Slightly narrow in front
but moved with good drive. Would prefer a better set
of tail.

Black and tan
dog of compact type with a good head and eye. Moved

Super mini long bitch who, although only
just 6 months old, showed like an old hand with boldness and real “look at me”

showing good extension and drive and topline kept throughout. I loved her and I
am sure she will have a very promising future.
