I would like to thank the Officers and committee for affordng me the honour and pleasure of judging this lovely show. It was good to see so many new exhibitors. I thought the quality and breed type was very good and also found the atmosphere to be wonderful with everyone seeming to enjoy a good day out and plenty of applause for the winners - always good to hear. Finally thanks to my efficient steward Wendy who kept things going so well allowing me to get on with judging. Best in Show – Andison & Peel – Mini Smooth-Haired - Stargang Devil May Care Of Robinswood, 2 year old male of excellent quality, striking in outline, masculine in head, good earset and strong underjaw, dark eye giving pleasing expression, long muscular neck fitting nicely into well placed shoulders, firm back, broad muscular thighs, tremendous bend of stifle and rear straight when viewed from behind, front straight with good bone and tight feet, elbows tucked in, scores in forechest and ribbing back to short muscular loin, lovely underline, shown in tip top condition, moved with an easy stride and super driving action, handled to advantage. Reserve Best In Show – Morris – Miniature Wire-Haired - Pennywave Top Totti JW SH CM. 3 year old feminine bitch that I have done well in the past and was delighted to see her here today and she was put down to the minute, she has a lovely outline and her head is superb, dark expressive eyes, correct earset and strong underjaw, good length of neck into well placed shoulders firm in topline and well constructed in rear, good bone and tight feet, very good forechest, ribs of good shape and length, short in loin, correct harsh coat, lovely in profile action and also coming and going, very well handled. Best Puppy In Show – Kay – Miniature Smooth- Haired – Lochlip I Believe In Magic. In my opinion top quality, her outline and her carriage cannot be missed, she is very confident and as soon as she moved round I knew it would take something special to beat her, lovely and well proportioned all through, super head piece and dark eye giving soft expression, long muscular neck and well placed shoulders, firm level back, good tailset and carriage, well constructed rear giving strong driving action, pleasing in front with good bone, tight feet and elbows tucked in, good spring of rib back to short muscular loin, good underline, shown in gleaming coat, sound confident mover, well handled. Good luck with her. Reserve best Puppy In Show – Fulton – Miniature- Wire-Haired – Bothlyn Super Trouper. 6 month boy with so much promise, very pleasing in outline, lovely head and eye, good reach of neck and soundly constructed forehand, level back, tail nicely set on but on the move he carries it rather high hopefully this is only temporary, well angulated rear, straight front with good bone and tight feet, nicely ribbed and short coupled, shown in harsh coat and lovely condition loved his temperament, good stride and drive on the move, very well handled. Best Veteran In Show - Paskins – Long-haired – CH Abydachs Summer Dream At Kindeace. 7 year old who belies her years, a super picture standing so feminine, lovely head and eye, adequate neck and well laid shoulders, firm level back held on the move, and powerful rear angulation, straight front with good bone and neat feet, well pronounced forechest and well sprung ribs, shown in well presented coat and lovely condition, could show some of the young ones how to move..
