Thank you for the invitation to judge the miniatures & BIS at what I consider to be my ‘Mother Club’, also as I was one of the founder members it was an honour for me to be invited. A very friendly show & great hospitality extended to myself & my friend.
For BIS I chose the Min S/h, Ch Carpaccio Blithe Spirit, quality exhibit having good head & eye, reachy neck flowing into well laid shoulders, prominent pro-sternum, good length of ribbing, strong hindquarters, moves well keeping a level topline at all times, shown in excellent condition; RBIS & BV, S/h, Ch Leveliss What She Said, a 7½ year old b/t bitch who moved & showed well. A credit to her owner, she is well balanced all through & shown in excellent condition. I am sure she will win many more top awards in the veteran class in the future; BP, S/h, Matzell Myrtle, 11 months old red bitch. A stunning puppy so well balanced. Good head, dark eye & correct earset. Prominent forechest, good length & depth of keel & ribbing well back. Moved out parallel fore & aft keeping a level topline. Will watch her progress, one for the top I am sure; & RBP, Min S/h, Siouxline The Musketeer, 11 months old red dog. Well made puppy having well proportioned head, correct earset & dark eye. Good length of neck onto well placed shoulders, well off for ribbing, sound movement keeping level topline, sound rear used to advantage.

MIN S/H – V 1 Kerry’s Dollyharp Pizzacato at Kireton, 11 year old b/t bitch shown in good condition. Sweet head & having clean teeth. Liked her length of neck, had good ribbing, sound movement, presents a pleasing outline on the move. A credit to her owner. MPD (5,1a) 1 Paget & Carroll’s Melriding Mr Wickam at Marvale, 7 months old b/t baby who moved & showed well for his age. Liked his headpiece & eye shape, correct front into well placed shoulder, keeps level topline on move, nicely angulated rear, just needs time to strengthen up; 2 Callow’s Garthorne T-Rex, balanced exhibit who presents a pleasing outline, not so confident as 1 today, but time is on his side; 3 Hughes’ Clentry Coppa Glow to Julidachs. PD (3) 1 Ergis’ Siouxline The Musketeer. RBP; 2 Wheeler’s Zefathers Simply Red, s/r boy having pleasing head & eye onto good reach of neck. Not so well balanced all through as 1 & would have preferred a better topline on move; 3 Goddard’s Caretino Sweet Charmer. JD (2) 1 Callow’s Garthorne Gavin, b/t, conical head & correct dark oval eye & good mouth. Well placed shoulder, nice length of body with good ribbing, moved well keeping level topline; 2 Capostagno’s Honourable Sir Winston, a first show for both exhibitor & exhibit so rather difficult to assess both on & off the table. Slightly over-grown s/r boy, however put down in good condition. ND (4) 1 S The Musketeer; 2 Z Simply Red; 3 Sterry’s Barisse Asarabacca. PGD (4,1) 1 Starkey’s Carpaccio Just My Luck with Hamoura, attractive balanced exhibit having pleasing head & expression, strong neck, correct front assembly, well padded feet. Strong hindquarters used to advantage, at times lost his level topline on the move, hence RBD; 2 Phillip’s Stargang Devil-May-Care of Robinswood, a very nice exhibit who sadly has lost his confidence & difficult to assess on the table. From what I saw from his movement a very well constructed body. Hope he regains his confidence; 3 B Asarabacca. LD (6) 1 Callow’s Garthorne Jackson, smaller type b/t, has a pleasing head but would prefer a better eye shape. Liked his overall construction with ribs carried well back. Has parallel movement & keeps a level topline, well handled & presented; 2 Burton’s Swingletrees Razamatazz, typical head, good mouth & reach of neck. Would have preferred better hind movement. Today tended to lose topline on move; 3 Parish’s Melriding Lambert Simnel at Garlandelms. OD (0).
MPB (3) 1 Worswick’s Dolyharp Sonataa, a more compact young lady of 6 months who is very confident for her age. Presents a nice outline when stacked & on the move. Lovely headshape with good eye & earset, good neck & firm topline, uses his hindquarters to advantage. It was a close decision between her & the dog for BP & I felt the dog the more mature on the day, however I did like her & she will have a bright future I am sure; 2 Hunt’s Carpaccio Midnight Lace, another well presented baby from this kennel. At present a little loose all through, nevertheless a balanced exhibit who will trouble the best in the future; 3 Scott’s Wolferlow Baby Jane. PB (8,1) 1 Salisbury’s Brocklewood Black Orchard, liked this young lady for her overall balance & proportion, having a good head & length of neck into well placed shoulders. Ribbing carried well back, uses her hindquarters to advantage keeping a level topline on move; 2 Hutching’s Stargang Hot Cross Bun, attractive brindle of pleasing appearance, well shown & handled. She is a little low to the ground. I would have preferred a tad more ground clearance; 3 W Baby Jane. JB (6) 1 Ergis’ Siouxline Dapperdax Destiny, another quality exhibit from this kennel. This girl has parallel movement coming & going, typical head & expression, reachy neck, tight elbows & correct front. Good length of ribbing & firm topline; 2 Prices’ Samlane Desdemona, more compact exhibit who moved & showed well; 3 Oakley & Pearson’s Ardenrun A La Mode. NB (6,1) 1 Hunt’s Carpaccio Scarlet O’Hara, s/r of a finer type all through. Has a pretty feminine head, well shaped eye, good reach of neck onto correct shoulder placement & tight elbows. Ribbing carried well back & level topline at all times, good rear angulation provided strong hind movement; 2 S Hot Cross Bun; 3 A A La Mode. PGB (2) 1 Reed’s Deercroft Deep Secret, b/t having well proportioned head & nice dark eye, good mouth with strong teeth. Good depth to pro-sternum & length to rib. Tight padded feet & tight elbows. A quality exhibit who moved & showed well; 2 Tryhorn’s Moragden Moonstruck, another quality bitch who I have admired from the ringside. Today she tended to lose her topline both stacked & on the move & today could not match the movement of 1. LB (4) 1 Ergis’ Siouxline Esther Rose, another quality exhibit from this kennel who presents a pleasing picture & I liked her overall balanced outline when stacked & on the move. Correct headpiece, good eye shape & earset, has good length of neck onto well placed shoulders, ribbing carried well back, neat hocks, has strong hind movement. RBB; 2 Hughes’ Siouxline Tiana to Julidachs, s/r who is very similar to 1 but does not have quite the length, however a pleasing exhibit, well handled & presented; 3 Reed’s Deercroft Summer Serenade. OB 1 Ch C Blithe Spirit; 2 Callow’s Garthorne Miss Toffee, a quality exhibit, so well made having lovely head expression. Reachy neck leading to well placed shoulders, tight elbows, good ribbing, keeps a firm topline & strong hind movement; 3 Kerry’s Kireton Cici.
