Best in Show was Ergis' Siouxline Rapunzel with Melriding, Reserve BIS Norton Matzell Man of the Match Standard Smooth. Nicely constructed all through, and moving well, but I felt he was a little too heavy in front, and I preferred the more balanced Miniature. Best Puppy in Show was Kerry Kireton Beau Diddley Standard Smooth Handsome, masculine youngster who just needs to settle to complete the picture. He is well constructed with good angulation, well let down hocks and moved with good rear drive. Loved him. Reserve BPIS Hunt Carpaccio Blithe Spirit, Best Veteran in Show Hughes Minimead Made to Love for Julidachs, Reserve BVIS Higgins Matzell Morning Chorus for Leveliss. Lovely head and reach of neck and good ribbing, moved well, but again I felt a little overdone in front, and preferred the more balanced miniature. My thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge at this happy, well run show. It was lovely to hear applause from the ringside and winners being congratulated by other exhibitors, something that is so often lacking at shows these days. The miniatures were well covered, and none of them were underweight, though one was a good few pound over. Overall presentation was good, teeth were clean and there were no bad mouths or kinky tails. Thanks to my steward who kept everything moving along nicely.

Vet (3) 1 Hughes Minimead Maid to Love for Julidachs (BVIB). 7 year old bitch with good head, nicely made shoulders, long ribbing and strong hindquarters. She moved well keeping a good outline at all times. She has the same sire as my BIS and they are both very similar in type. 2 Kent's Ch Barratini Jeeves at Lokmadi JW. Another nice dog. Excellent head and a tighter eye than 1 good front and correct topline well muscled, and shown in hard condition but he just appeared to be flicking a hind leg today. 3 Phillips Dactra Frank Furter of Robinswood. MPD (1) 1 Stephen Barisse Asara. 8 and a half month old puppy. Good head, long ribs and a nice front assembly, but needs to tighten in elbows. Moved well with good rear drive, but loose in front movement at the moment. PD (5,3) 1 Phillips Stargang Devil-May-Care of Robinswood. Best Puppy Dog. Eye catching red boy, with good head, long, well sprung ribbing, strong hind quarters and well angulated all through. He looked good both stacked and moving, and I will watch his progress. Lovely boy. 2 Scott Wolferlow Will Scarlet. Black and tan boy, slightly taller and leaner than 1. Nicely constructed and well angulated, and moving well, but not quite the prosturnum of my winner. JD (1) 1 Scott Wolferlow Will Scarlet. ND (4,1) 1 Phillips Arbennick St Thomas of Robinswood. Good head and expression, nice front with tight elbows, long ribbing, and well let down hocks. Moved well keeping a good outline, but would have liked more rear drive. 2 Scott's Wolferlow Will Scarlet. 3 Legg Sanmik Black Passion. PGD (4) 1 Phillips Stargang-High-Hopes of Robinswood. Dark red, masculine boy with good prosternum, excellent head, correct front and well angulated rear. Moved with reach and drive keeping a good outline at all times. 2 Callow Garthorne Jackson. Nicely made dog, with good shoulders, level topline and good movement. I just preferred the houndier head of my winner. 3 Scott Danton Mr Brown at Wolferlow. LD (4,1)? Two beautiful dogs headed this class, and I'm sure they will easily change places on another occasion. 1 Hunt Carpaccio Casablanca JW. Best Dog. More compact dog than 2 with lovely head, good shoulders, long ribbing and strong hindquarters. Moved with drive keeping a good outline at all times, and never stopped showing. 2 Barrett Ayseebee Rumour Has It. Good head and long neck, with good angles all through and long well sprung ribbing. A quality boy but just felt that 1 had the more positive movement on the day. 3 Legg Sanmik Black Passion. OD (4,1) 1 Ergis Siouxline Aaron JW (Res Best Dog) Lovely red boy with beautiful head, long neck, correct shoulders, prominent fore chest, and well angulated hindquarters. He moved with good rear drive and presented a lovely outline at all times. 2 Fossett Lokmadi A Boy Named Sue JW. Slightly taller and leaner. Well-constructed front, and nicely angulated hindquarters, moved well with good rear drive, but I just preferred the tighter elbows of 1. 3 Legg Sanmik Black Passion. MPB (1) 1 Ergis Siouxline Esther Rose. Nicely constructed youngster. Good head, prominent chest, and good ribbing, moved well with reach and drive. A confident puppy for her age, and she should do well when fully mature. PB (2,1) 1 Hunt Carpaccio Blithe Spirit. Best Bitch Puppy and BPIB. Well-proportioned and nicely balanced B/T puppy, with lovely head, well laid back shoulders, and good ribbing. She moved well keeping a good topline. JB?(4)?A difficult class as they varied so much in their maturity. I could only judge them as they appeared on the day. 1 Burke Radclyffe Zathira. Well-constructed red, mature for her age, with lovely head, good shoulders and enough ribbing. Well-made hindquarters and well let down hocks gave her the good movement I was looking for. 2 Hughes Siouxline Tiana to Julidachs. Equally as nice as my winner, and the same remarks apply. She has slightly longer ribbing, but not quite the prominent fore chest of 1. 3 Reed Deepcroft Deep Secret. NB (5,1) 1 Hunt Carpaccio Blithe Spirit. 2 Ergis Siouxline Esther Rose 3 Reed Deercroft Hopes N Dreams. PGB (10,5) 1 Kent Lokmadi on Silent Wings JW. Feminine, well constructed and compact red girl. Lovely head with small tight eye, enough front, good shoulders and long ribbing with nicely angulated rear. Moved well with reach and drive and kept a good outline. 2 Kerry Kireton Cici. Nicely made B/T. Good length and spring of ribs and well angulated hind quarters, just not as tidy in her front movement when coming towards me. 3 Curtis Curtisey Chief Bridesmaid. LB (9,3) 1 Kent Lokmadi Goodnight Irene. Reserve Best Bitch. Loved this girl, and she pushed hard in the final placings. She is nicely made all through with lovely head, good front and rear angulation, and sound positive movement. I'm sure she has a bright future. 2 Reed Deercroft Summer Serenade. Nicely constructed red with good shoulders, long ribbing and nicely angulated hindquarters. I just preferred the movement of my winner on the day. 3 Salisbury Brocklewood Black Rose JW. OB (7,3)1 Ergis Siouxline Rapunzel with Melriding. Best Bitch and Best of Breed. Compact red girl, full of quality, and well balanced all through. Lovely head with good length of neck leading into well laid back shoulders. Prominent fore chest, long, well sprung ribbing and short loin, with powerful hind quarters, which she used to advantage on the move. The complete picture. Loved her. 2 Worswick Dolyharp's Symphony. B/T of smaller type than my winner, she is a well-balanced bitch with good angulation and long ribbing, I just preferred the front movement of 1. 3 Scott Wolferlow Anthea.
