Reserve Best Puppy in Show - STEPHENSON Bothlyn Sweet Miss Missy at Wistex MW

I had a very enjoyable day judging at Lancs and Cheshire Open Breed Show, which ran back to back with the final Northern Longhaired Breeders Open Show. It was very well organised, with excellent hospitality and provided a good atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. For my BIS, I had some really well constructed dogs to choose from. BIS was the red standard smooth 1 year old Jenning’s Clentry Sweet Melody, a top quality bitch, who was so balanced and correct that she caught my eye from the beginning. With best of heads, super front and excellent shoulder placement and so well ribbed, she was not over long in loin and had correctly angulated solid quarters with correct tail set. She was shown well and moved truly in both directions and presented the best of outlines in profile, demonstrating her excellent reach and drive on the move. RBIS, BPIS was Paget and Carroll’s red male mini smooth Marvel Firecrest, age 8 months, very similar comments apply to this young man, as he too was exactly what I was looking for, quite mature and was also correctly constructed all through presenting a good head and with the best of fronts and prosternum, he completed the picture with his excellent ribbing and sound well angulated quarters, keeping his outline at all times, a dog with excellent reach on the front and who drove impressively around the ring. RBPIS was Stephenson’s Bothlyn Sweet Missy at Wystex, bitch MW, 11 month old, attractive compact puppy with good coat who was shown and handled well, correct head and furnishings and good prosternum and ribbing, she moved well in both directions with good angulation both ends, keeping correct outline at all times and driving well from behind. Best Special Veteran In Show was Starkey’s Ch. Carpaccio Jasper from Hamoura ShCM, VW. B/tan dog, SS, 11 years, really pulled out all the stops and showed well as he moved briskly round the ring, with excellent head and teeth, good reach of neck, prominent sternum and super ribbing, he was not over long in loin and was also well balanced as he moved correctly around with purpose, showing off his lovely shiny coat as he went, well deserved.

P 1 Paget & Carroll Marvale Firecrest 8 months old red he is very stylish I loved his outline size shape and balance, he has a very good head clean cheeks and good eye, long clean neck, well angulated front tight elbows, good chest and ribs well back.held top line at all times, muscular rear which he used well, moved very soundly I am sure he will have a very bright future lovely puppy BOB & BPIB. 2 Downie Marvale Kingfisher litter brother to 1 and of very much the same quality through out, again he has a lovely out is well balanced and good shape he also moved with style just not a good in rear as 1 another who I think will have a great future. 3 Jennings Marvale Jena taf cnaf J 1 Jennings Jenivons Queen Bee 12 months old b/t female she is of good size shape and balance I liked her head and expression could be tighter in dewlap nice arch to neck good in front good chest and elbows well ribbed and held top line well, sound rear moved out well in good condition. PG 1 Jennings Jenivons Miss Marple 14 months old red female up to weight. She is very well balanced with a good outline she has a lovely head with good eye.elegant neck fitting in to good front with good chest, held top line well just a touch loose in undercarriage, covered the ground well with reach and drive she was the best mover in the class.

2nd Hutchins & Price Collidach Splish Splash 19 months old brindle who is full of quality I liked her size shape and overall balance she has a good head and expression,elegant neck good in chest and front, held top line touch puffy in undercarriage, held her tail a touch high, she is ok in rear. Shown well in lovely condition. 3rd Eisen Duchess Lou L 1 Jennings Marvale A Royal Affair B/t all male he is a touch up on weight, he is an impressive male, with a good outline and is well balanced, pleasing head with good eyes, touch loose under chin, long neck fitting in to well angulated front and rear good body held top line well moved out soundly O 1 Morris & Waddell Crosscop Gabriella,13 months old red female,she is very good for size shape and type. Also weight, she has a lovely head with good eyes and excellent mouth ,elegant neck good in front and rear held top line well on the move, moved very true coming and going she is very nice and I am sure she will have a good future. 2 Jennings Marvale Northern Cardinal At Jenivon 16 months old red female, she has a lovely head with dark eyes, elegant neck well angulated front just a fraction low on leg, well bodied with good chest, rear ok shown and moved steady.

P 1 McSorley Barlaine Golden Honey 8 months old red who is of rich colour, lovely size shape and balance,she has a good head with nice eyes, good front with enough chest good top line and undercarriage in good coat and condition moved out well. 2 McGavigan & Pettigrew Pettigans Black Pearl 6 months old black/tan she has a lovely head and good in front and rear well bodied with good chest I am sure she will have a great future as she is a lovely puppy and once she get going she do well. 3 McSorley Barlaine Midnight Charmer J 1 Henson Dinkidax Kleine Klopp Wurst 7 months old sweet puppy she is of good size shape and balance, she moved steady, just needs more confidence on the table. PG 1 Mee Barlaine’s Razzle Dazzle 3 years old red very pretty mice size shape and balance lovely head and expression, good mouth, well bodied with good chest, held top line, moved out well in lovely condition. O 1 Whitfield-Robert’s CH Dandyayo Kiss The Girl 21/2 years old beautiful red girl she is of lovely size shape and balance very good in front and rear with good chest, tight elbows, well ribbed held top line well moved out so steady and soundly in beautiful condition. 2 Mee Barlaine Just William 3 years old red male, he is good for size shape and balance, he has a pleasing head nice eye 1 tooth is out of line good in neck and ok in front and rear not holding top line at time in great condition and coat.

Shown very well J 1 Dance Emem Solar Power 12 months old lovely overall size shape and balance liked her head which is well furnished eyes ok good mouth elegant neck good chest ok in front tight elbows good body and top line well muscled rear moved out very steady and soundly in very good coat and condition I am sure she will do well. 2 Kirkwood Helydon Quickstep Queeni 16 months old she is a lovely type with a very good head and expression, nice eye, neck ok, carrying a touch to much body, held top line well moved out very well in good coat and condition. PG 1 Stephenson Wistex Taking It Easy 18 months old nice size shape and overall balance with very good outline, well balanced head with good eye and elegant neck fitting in to good front and well developed chest well bodied with good top line well muscled rear.in very good coat and condition moved very well 2 Dance Emem Autumal Sunshine 12 months old very sweet I liked her size shape and balance she has a good head, eye a touch round, good in neck, well developed chest, front ok, well bodied, well muscled rear moved out steady in good coat and condition. 3 Kirkwood Beetlejuice Vitoraz at Helydon O 1 Dance Emem Letty Bee Sunshine JW 18 months old I loved her size shape and balance she holds and shows herself very well, she has a lovely head and expression with dark eye clean neck and well developed chest she is well angulated in front and rear well bodied with good top line and tail moved out very well in good coat and condition. 2 Kirkwood-Emery Helydon Nifty Nairn 3 years old female of lovely overall type she has a great outline which is well balanced she has a lovely head and eye with good mouth well developed chest and good front and rear held top line and shown very well by her young handler today she was pulling to the side in front but she is a lovely type.

She has a lovely head and good eye elegant strong neck fitting in to a good front and good chest, well bodied held top line well good in rear in gleaming condition moved ok she was not sure of the hall today still a lovely youngster. PG 1 Starkey Carpaccio Magnum Pi At Hamoura 18 months old black/tan good for size shape and balance head ok needs to fill a touch under eyes good chest tight elbows good bone held top line well developed rear moved out steady L 1 Jennings Clentry Sweet Melody 18 months old red female she is very eye catching I loved her size shape and overall balance she is good in head with dark eye good mouth long elegant strong neck well developed chest she is well angulated front sand rear well bodied and held her top line at all time in great condition moved out very soundly and well BOB

Standard Special Veteran 1 Starkey CH Caraccio Jasper From Hamoura ShCM, what a handsome 11 years old Black/Tan, he is still in great condition, I loved his size, shape and balance, he has a lovely well balanced head, strong elegant neck, excellent front and rear, well bodied, still covering the ground well
