I would like to extend my deepest thanks to the committee for
the invitation to judge all 6 varieties and Best in Show. Thank you to my
efficient stewards at this very well-run show, which had a wonderful festive
atmosphere. The Christmas songs were playing through my head on my flight
home. I found very high-quality dogs amongst the varieties, even with quite
a few absentees due to the frosty weather and recent outbreaks of KC.
General body condition was excellent but please ensure dogs nails are kept
short and teeth/bites were an issue in a minority, which did affect some
placements.
My best in show line up was extremely impressive and could
have been a championship show line up, my best in show was Hutching’s Ch
Collidach Brook Ling ShCex. A red standard wire who excelled on the move,
oozed breed type and had the hunting spirit I was looking for. She pipped
everyone at the post with a stellar performance in BIS, which commanded
attention. My reserve best in show was Chauhan’s Ch Adnerbs Take A Chance On
Me At Raajput. A b/t standard smooth with beautiful construction, who
stacked to perfection and moved powerfully around the ring with purpose. My
BPIS was Crocker & Frost’s Riverbrue Juniper Berry, a raw 6-month-old red
mini smooth at her first show. She had a beautiful outline and moved very
well for such a young age. A bright future ahead, I am sure. My RBPIS was
the standard wire Wlydetarn Genesis for owner Ms Sieminski. She had correct
proportions and ground clearance and again excelled on the move. It was
evident that there is a special rapport with her handler, which shone
through in the ring. She was also best special beginner at the show, so many
congratulations. My BVIS was Hutching’s Stargang Hot Cross Bun At Collidach,
a 7 year old brindle mini smooth who put on a fantastic performance and was
clearly loving all the attention. She had excellent head proportions and
oozed breed type. My RBVIS was the 12-year-old b/t standard smooth,
Starkey’s Ch Carpaccio Jasper From Hamoura ShCM VW, who really represented
the longevity of our breed. He had excellent breed type and still moved very
soundly round the ring. He is a credit to his owner.

Puppy D (1)
1st Moore’s Padraig Rjabina de Bergerac. 8-month-old b/t in good body
condition but very FCI in type and does not fit the UK standard. His
strongest feature is his head with correct proportions and correct ear
set. Correct scissor bite. Good length of neck and ok shoulder
placement. Needs a lot more fore chest and depth of chest for heart and
lung room. Very high on leg with around 40% ground clearance, which
leads to loose front movement. Ribbing was good so held top line well
but not enough bend of stifle in rear. Moved ok for owner and good
temperament. Hopefully his chest will develop with age. BP.
Junior D (4)
1st Jenning’s Marvale Manifesto at Jenivon. 18-month-old b/t in
excellent hard condition and coat. Great breed type and immediately
caught my eye. Excellent head with correct proportions and pleasing eye.
Good length of neck flowing into correctly placed shoulders. Beautiful
fore chest and correct depth of chest with plenty of heart and lung
room. Excellent ribbing and underline with solid top line stacked and on
the move. Good bend of stifle in rear and moved well for owner around
the ring.
2nd Chauhan’s Neithund Angus at Raajput. 13-month-old red in great
condition. Another excellent head with correct eye and scissor bite.
Beautiful neck and ok shoulders. Good fore chest and depth of chest but
preferred a bit more clearance in 1. Excellent ribbing and top line
stacked. Good bend of stifle and moved with purpose around the ring.
Preferred the more moderate balance of 1 in outline.
3rd Moore’s Padraig Rjabina de Bergerac.
Limit (3)
1st Jenning’s Marvale The Opposition at Jenivon. 18-month-old b/t litter
brother to junior class winner. Wow, what a classic outline and reminded
me of Lauralee Llyod George straight away. He oozed breed type and just
flowed on the table. Excellent head proportions with pleasing
expression. Great length of neck into the most beautiful and correct
front construction. Good depth of chest with ample heart and lung room.
Excellent ribbing and underline with short loin. Solid top line stacked
and on the move. Excellent bend of stifle and powered round the ring to
complete the picture. He was very unfortunate to meet the more seasoned
BOB winner today. BD.
2nd Hinwood’s Adnerb Sheer Nanagins at Longmel. 2-year-old b/t in great
condition. Another lovely example of the breed. Good overall proportions
with correct ground clearance. Strong head with correct proportions and
lovely almond eye. Good reach of neck into laid back shoulder. Good
amount of fore chest and enough depth of chest. Good ribbing and
underline which maintained a solid top line stacked and on move. Good
bend of stifle and moved true coming and going for owner.
3rd Starkey’s Carpaccio Magnum Pi at Hamoura.
Veteran D/B (3)
1st Starkey’s Ch Carpaccio Jasper From Hamoura ShCM VW. 12-year-old b/t
dog in fantastic condition. Great breed type and overall proportions
with good ground clearance. Good head with correct eye and scissor bite.
Good front construction with correct depth of chest. Good length of
ribbing and correct underline with solid top line. Good bend of stifle.
Moved with purpose round the ring and correct tail carriage. RBVIS.
2nd Hinwood’s Longmel Special Truffle. 7-year-old red bitch in great
condition. Beautiful head with correct proportions and pleasing
expression. Correct front construction with good layback of shoulder and
enough depth of chest. Good length of ribbing and moderate underline.
Held top line on move. Prefer slightly shorter hocks to complete
picture. Moved well for owner.
3rd Kerry’s Ch Kireton Beau Diddley.
Special Beginners D/B (4,2)
1st Moore’s Padraig Rjabina de Bergerac. See puppy dog report.
2nd Steele’s The Lover. 14-month-old chocolate dapple bitch in good body
condition. FCI in type like 1. Ok head proportions but prefer less stop
and more almond eye. Good length of neck but forward shoulders and
shorter upper arm which affected front movement. A lot of ground
clearance and needs more depth of chest for heart/lung room. Ribbing ok
but too much tuck up which affects top line. Would prefer more bend of
stifle to balance front and rear. Moved ok.
Puppy B (2,1)
1st Steele’s Persa Rjabina de Bergerac. 8-month-old red in good body
condition. Litter sister to puppy dog class winner and again very FCI in
type. Good head proportions and pleasing eye. Good length of neck and ok
shoulder placement. Needs a lot more depth of chest and fore chest for
heart/lung room. Loose elbows and longer narrow feet. Short in ribbing
and quite a bit of tuck up which affected top line. Needs more bend of
stifle and shorter hocks. Loose front movement.
Post Graduate B (1)
1st Hinwood’s Longmel Cococabana. 2-year-old b/t who needs to settle on
table a bit more. Good head proportions but prefer a more almond eye.
Good amount of fore chest and correct shoulder placement. Good length of
ribbing and strong loin to maintain solid top line. Strong rear with
enough bend of stifle to create balanced outline. Moved well once
settled.
Limit B (2,1)
1st Chauhan’s Adnerb Forever Charmed at Raajput. 3-year-old quality red
in great condition. Beautiful head with pleasing hound expression and
correct scissor bite. Good length of neck into lovely front
construction. Good fore chest with enough depth of chest and correctly
placed shoulders. Good length of ribbing and underline and maintained
top line well. Correct bend of stifle to balance out the front. Moved
soundly around the ring and true coming and going.
Open B (2)
1st Chauhan’s Ch Adnerbs Take A Chance On Me at Raajput. 5-year-old b/t
in great condition and commanded attention. Beautiful outline of classic
type and very well trained. Great head with correct proportions and
pleasing eye. Correct front construction with laid back shoulders and
good depth of chest but enough ground clearance. Excellent length of
ribbing and gradual underline with short loin. Strong solid top line
stacked and on move. Good bend of stifle to complete the balanced
picture. Moved very soundly around the ring with purpose and drive. RBIS.
2nd Lockett-Walter’s Ralines Quickstep. Another quality
b/t unfortunate to meet 1 today. Oozed breed type as well. Great head
with correct proportions and pleasing eye. Good front construction with
enough fore chest and enough ground clearance. Good ribbing and moderate
underline to maintain solid top line. Lovely rear with correct bend of
stifle. Preferred the movement of 1.

red in great condition. Good head proportions with correct almond eye.
Good fore chest for age and correct lay of shoulder. Enough ribbing to
maintain top line on stack and move. Good bend of stifle in rear and
correct tail carriage on move. Moved well for owner, just a little
narrow behind at the moment. BP.
Limit D (1)

underline. Good bend of stifle. Moved soundly coming and going with

Special Beginners (1)
1st Palmer’s Dashing Dazzling Penelope. 2-year-old s/red a little
overweight and could do with being trimmed down and more muscle tone.
Head proportions ok but prefer more refined muzzle and length. Moderate
neck into ok shoulder placement. Good feet and tight elbows. Moderate
ribbing and ok top line. A little high in hock which affected rear
movement.
Puppy B (1)
1st Dunhill’s Kindeace Brown Eyed Girl At Gellijam. Promising 6-month
s/red raw pup. Great head proportions and pleasing eye. Moderately
arched neck into good shoulders. Good depth of chest for age and
moderate overall outline. Strong feet and tight elbows. Moderate length
of ribbing and solid top line. Correct rear angulation and moved well
for I assume her first show.
Junior B (2,1)
1st Geeson’s Abydachs Anything for Love. 17-month s/red of good size.
Good head proportions with correct almond eye. Good moderate neck into
correct lay of shoulder and good depth of chest. Enough ground clearance
and good strong feet. Good length of ribbing which maintained a solid
top line. Moderate rear with enough bend of stifle. Moved well for
owner, true coming and going. Would prefer more coat but a well-made
bitch. BOB.
Post Graduate B (2)
1st Geeson’s Abydachs Hot Patootie. Quality 18-month s/red bitch in
great condition. Great head proportions with very pleasing expression.
Good almond eye. Great front construction with correctly placed
shoulders and enough depth of chest. Ample ground clearance. Good length

settle on move for the handler.
2nd Barnicott & Pascoe’s Delsaux Lady Madonna of Fahoogle.
B/t 18-month-old in good condition. Good moderate overall outline. Great
head proportions with correct eye. A bit more tuck up than 1 and
preferred hindquarters of one for overall balance.
1st Wedge’s Dolan Summer Time Blues. 3-year-old red. Good
head proportions and eye with hound expression. Ok length of neck but
slightly higher shoulders. Good length of ribbing and held top line well
on move. Moderate rear angulation and correct tail carriage on the move.

Puppy D (2,1)
1st Clayton-Smith’s Cairparavel Hartnell. 8-month-old in great condition
and coat for age. Ideal head proportions with pleasing expression. Front
construction good for age, more chest should come with age. Good tight
elbows and strong feet. Good length of ribbing to maintain underline and
top line. Good bend of stifle to balance out front. Moved soundly coming
and going for owner.
Limit (3)
1st Graham’s Brumberhill Armstrong JW. 5-year-old in great body
condition and coat. Lovely head with correct proportions and typical
wire expression. Good length of neck into correctly placed shoulders.
Enough depth of chest and ample ground clearance. Good length of ribbing
to maintain top line and underline. Well-muscled hind quarters with
enough bend of stifle to balance front. Moved soundly coming and going
with enough drive. BD.
2nd Horne’s Salixian Moroccan Mint. 4-year-old w/b in
good condition and coat. Good head proportions and moderate neck.
Correct lay of shoulder and good depth of chest. Moderate length of
ribbing and held solid top line stacked and on move. Good bend of stifle
to balance with forequarters. Preferred movement and overall outline of
1.
3rd Hunt’s Weinacht Larch at Drakkina JW.
Open D (4,3)
1st Hutchings & Price’s Collidach Percy Cute at Samlane. Quality
3-year-old w/b in great coat and muscle condition. A little more ground
clearance would complete the picture. Excellent head proportions with
very typical wire expression. Good length of neck into correctly placed
shoulders and balanced length of upper arm. Plenty of fore chest and
depth of chest. Long ribbing and solid top line. Well bent stifles and
strong rear drive on move. Moved soundly around the ring and true coming
and going.
1st Hutching’s Tendrow I Am The One From Collidach JW.
7.5-year-old w/b in great condition. Good head proportions with correct
scissor bite. Correct front construction with plenty of chest and strong
feet. Good amount of ribbing and correct underline. Strong rear
angulation and correct tail carriage on the move. Moved soundly for age
and still plenty of spirit. BV.
Special Beginners (5,2)
1st Sieminski’s Wyldetarn Genesis. 8-month-old w/b in great body
condition. Lovely head with correct proportions and pleasing expression.
Moderate overall outline and good balance for age. Enough chest with
ample ground clearance and correctly placed shoulders and tight elbows.
Good length of ribbing which maintained correct gradual underline and
solid top line. Good bend of stifle to balance with front. Moved with
purpose for owner and great temperament. BP and RBPIS. BSBIS.
2nd Horne’s Salixian Moroccan Mint. See limit report.
3rd Hunt’s Drakkina Wirenth.
Puppy B (7,5)
1st Sieminski’s Wyldetarn Genesis. See special beginners report.
2nd Brierley’s Tatze Harlem. 10-month-old w/b in good body condition and
coat. Good overall proportions but needs to mature. Great head with
pleasing expression. I would prefer a bit more layback of shoulder but
good depth of chest for age. Good strong feet and tight elbows. Ok
ribbing and top line a little bum high at the moment but should settle
with maturity. Little high in hock. Preferred current balance and
movement of 1.
Junior B (3,1)
1st Ward’s Nasiriyah’s Lavender at Morlanow. 12-month-old w/b in great
condition. Moderate type with good overall outline. Good head
proportions with correct eye and ear placement. Moderate neck into ok
shoulders. Ok depth of chest but will hopefully fill out more with age.
Good length of ribbing and ok top line. Rear angulation good and correct
tail carriage on move. Moved well in profile but a bit narrow behind.
2nd Hunt’s Drakkina Wirenth. 15-month-old choc/tan in good condition but
coat needed stripped out more in places. Good head proportions and
correct eye shape and colour. Good length of neck and correct front
construction. Would prefer more ribbing to maintain top line. Needs more
bend of stifle in rear to balance front. Moved ok but preferred overall
balance and movement of 1.
Post Grad B (2,1)
1st Hutching’s Collidach Raynee Day JW. 18-month-old red in great
condition and good breed type. Excellent head proportions with correct
scissor bite and typical wire expression. Great front construction with
good depth of chest. Correct strong feet and tight elbows. Good length
of ribbing which maintained top line and underline. Good bend of stifle
to balance the picture. A little wild on the lead and needed time to
settle but very sound. I’d rather see this outgoing spirit in a hunting
breed than a dog scared of its own shadow.
Limit B (4,1)
1st Coverley’s Aventine Aunt Patience JW. 2.5-year-old w/b in great coat
and condition. Moderate outline with ample ground clearance. Good head
proportions with correct scissor bite. Moderate neck into good
shoulders. Moderate length or ribbing with correct solid top line and
balanced rear angulation. Moved ok.
2nd Graham’s Boloria Wild Spice JW. 18-month-old in great condition.
More high on leg in type. Good head proportions and moderate neck.
Prefer more fore chest. Good solid top line and rear angulation ok but
preferred overall balance of 1.
3rd Brierley’s Bramalodge Bonfire Heart at Tatze.
Open B (2,1)
1st Hutching’s Ch Collidach Brook Ling ShCEx. Quality 3-year-old red
bitch in great code and muscle tone. She caught my eye immediately and
has excellent breed type and balance. Beautiful head piece with correct
proportions, correct scissor bite and pleasing expression. Excellent
front construction with well placed shoulders, correct upper arm and
strong feet. Good depth of chest with enough ground clearance. Excellent
ribbing which maintained solid top stacked and on the move. Correct bend
of stifle with well-muscled hind quarters, which provided plenty of
drive around the ring. Moved soundly coming and going and powered around
the ring with the hunting hound spirit I was after. A very deserving
champion and Best in Show today. Congratulations. BOB and BIS.
