I would just like to say thank you very much to the officers and committee for asking me to step in and judge the miniature Dachshund varieties today. Thank you to all those who entered and thank you to my wonderful stewards. Today I saw a mixture of specimens, quite a few were lacking keel and ribbing which is so so very important in our breed, bad teeth/mouths, but also quite a few toppling the scales by a few pounds.

Puppy (4,0) 1. Ergis’ Siouxline Mary Rose. 8mth old bitch who is nicely constructed. Loved her head, loved her profile. Good forechest with correct keel and good length of rib. Well angulated front and hind. Nice tight feet. Moved out well. 2. Corfield’s Russetcopse’s Toffee Apple shaded Red bitch of 8mths. Pleasing head with nice length of neck. Good depth of chest and keel with good amount of rib. Moved well. 3. Beer’s Lowrider Bonfire Heart. Jnr (6,0) 1. Ergis’ Siouxline Maisie Rayne litter sister to my puppy class winner. Black and Tan. Very tidy bitch with most definitely a promising career ahead of her as will the sister. Beautiful head with kind expression. Good length of neck set of well laid shoulders. Lovely tight feet. Good depth of chest. Well ribbed with strong loin. Good angles both front and back. No exaggeration and balanced throughout. Moved out with drive taking BP over her sister. 2. Rudkin’s Crosscop If I Could Dream for Dynastydax. 17mth old shaded Red bitch. Really like this girl. Pleasing head with dark eye. Well angulated front and back. Good amount of chest and depth of keel. Well ribbed leading to strong loin. Moved with purpose. 3. Beach’s Beachdax Sweet Melody. PG(4,1) 1. Wood’s Bronia Guistina 20mth shaded Red bitch. Correct shape of eye set on conical head. Correct bite. Lovely reachy neck set on well laid shoulders. Tight feet. Prominent sternum and well ribbed back. Enough ground clearance for a days work. Good rear angulation. Moved out well with drive. 2. Forge’s Normpug Tiger Eyes 4yr Black and Tan bitch. Compact girl. Feminine head. Good depth of chest with enough keel. Ribbed well back into short loin. Good hind angulation. Lost out to 1 as my no.1 had a more pleasing overall picture. 3. Beer’s Lowrider Candy Heart Limit(5,1) 1. Kilroy’s Janacop Maggie May Black and Tan 6 yr old Black and Tan bitch. Good proportions. Feminine head with correct bite. Enough reach of neck set on well laid shoulders. Tight feet. Held topline on the move. Pleasing profile on the stack. Well angulated on the hind. Moved out well. 2. Forge’s Normapug Prairie Moon 16mths old Black and Tan bitch. Feminine head. Enough chest and ribbing. Tight feet. Good tail set. Moved well. Lost out as no.1 had a better bite and preffered her overall profile. 3. Woods Bronia Gaspere. Open(5,1) 1. Rudkin’s Ch Dynastydax Alfreda JW 2yr old Black and Tan bitch. Love this bitch. Well constructed compact body. Very pleasing head set on reachy neck. Excellent angulation front and back. Good depth of chest and keel and ribbed well back. Tight feet, although nails could be a tad shorter to polish this off. Moved true with drive. Won on her movement today BOB. 2. Ergis’ Ch Siouxline Rapunzel with Melriding. Gorgeous shaded Red veteran bitch who really stood out. This was such a tough call between my 1 and 2 as both very worthy winners. Very pleasing head set on lovely reach of neck. Prominent chest with good depth of keel and ribbing right back. Strong short loin. Fabulous angulation and moved out with purpose. Had to nit pick between the two and just preferred the front movement of my no.1. RBOB. 3. Woods Mylforbe The Bishop
