I would like to say this variety of Dachshund was really nice and in good shape and has improved since when I last judged them. They all had good mouths and clean teeth, their coats were in good condition and clean and I was impressed with the breed as a whole. I was delighted with my main winners, and I was proud and thrilled to watch my BOB winning Best In Show and my veteran winning Best Veteran in Show. Minor Puppy Dog (0,0) No Entries Puppy Dog (0,0) No Entries Junior Dog (2,1) 1 st Vincent Breezelyn Long Awaited by Gainscroft. Nice red dog in lovely condition. Really good head with nice dark eyes. Ear set is correct with good shoulders. Ribbing is of sufficient length and a strong rear end. Good movement coming and going. Post Graduate Dog (1,0) 1 st Paskins Kindeace Hit The Road Jack JW. Another nice shaded red male. He has a real hound head with dark eyes. Ears set correctly with good front. Nice tight elbows with good ribbing and angulation. Topline nice and level on the move and when stacked. Moved with ease. Reserve Best Dog. Limit Dog (2,0) 1 st Paskins Kindeace Texas Ranger ShCEx. Liked this male similar to the last class. Good head and eye with correct front construction. Enough length of neck with lovely tight and neat feet. Fantastic ribbing and moved really well in gleaming coat. 2 nd Vincent Gainscroft Dashing Dudley. Smaller type than 1st but another good strong hound with a lovely head. Good deep chest with good feet. Well laid shoulders into correct length ribbing. Moved with soundness. Open Dog (1,0) 1st Paskins Cedavoch It’s Taboo at Kindeach. I liked this dog very much. He was of a nice size for my liking with good balanced head with strong looking jaw. Good forechest with flowing neck into fantastic shoulders. Ribbing correct with good angulation and correct tail set. Feet lovely and tight. Powerful well muscled rear. Best Dog and Best Opposite Sex. Veteran Dog (2,0) 1 st Garlick Ranglewood Arashi. This lovely red dog at the grand old age of 10 years and 5 months can still stand out in the ring in lovely condition. A nice typical hound head with good length of muzzle and nice dark eyes. Good deep chest and shoulders and despite his age, he moved with ease around the ring. Best Veteran and Best Veteran in Show. 2 nd Garlick Ranglewood Harvest Song. Another nice dog Black and Tan from the same kennel as the winner of this class. Good head and eye shape, good chest and well ribbed. Really nice tight and tidy feet. Moved well. Minor Puppy Bitch (0,0) No Entries Puppy Bitch (1,1) Junior Bitch (4,1) 1 st Dare Darsoms Zyrhona. Red bitch with the most fantastic head with correct almond shape eyes and good ear set. Really deep chest having a really muscled front assembly. Correct shoulder placement and well ribbed of correct proportions. Good feet and nice to see parallel movement coming and going. Well muscled rear creating the lovely free flowing movement. Overall, this bitch is the perfect size. Best Bitch, Best of Breed and Best in Show. 2 nd Vincent Breezelyn A Long Story at Gainscroft. A really nice Black and Tan girl with a good head having a good strong front assembly. Well ribbed and moved with drive. Post Graduate Bitch (4,1) 1 st Dare Darsoms Zyrobi. Another lovely bitch from this famous kennel and I really liked this one too. A good head with a strong muzzle, lovely deep and correct chest. Nice flowing neck into well laid shoulders with a good rib cage. Moved with well muscled rear. Reserve Best Bitch. 2 nd Heap Ranglewood Katrine. Black and Tan bitch with a nice head shape and a good length of neck. Chest is OK with good ribbing. Level topline and moved true. Limit Bitch (2,0) 1 st Vincent Gainscroft Dolly’s Dina. A nice Black and Tan bitch which was really presented well by this exhibitor. Good head with a correct front, good length of neck and was well ribbed. 1^st Dance – Emem Joyful Sunshine – the first thing that strikes you about this compact Wild Boar puppy is her bubbly personality and her way of going around the ring, she is so sound and keeps everything together, ideal size compact with a good reach of neck, lovely lay of shoulder, enough forechest, pretty head and eye, her ears are of a good size and well set, very promising.

2^nd – Jones – Bimini Moonlight – very pretty feminine girl, touch lower to ground than above, she has a firm topline, good forechest, moved well on super tight feet.

2^nd McDermott – Bardot’s Brigitte (Imp Swd) – shapely outline, slightly longer in profile than above and softer in coat, she has a good lay of shoulder with long ribbing and a firm topline, angulated rear quarters, moved well on tight feet.

Have not judged this variety for a while and was really disappointed to be honest. A lot of exhibits had short necks, ribbing was not good and should be as per the breed standard, mouths need attention and a lot of the rear movement needs to be addressed. Having said this, I was delighted with my main winners. Minor Puppy Dog (0,0) No Entries Puppy Dog (0,0) No Entries Junior Dog (2,0) 1 st Stevens Dolyharp Amadeus at Sidburyhill. Black and Tan dog with a really nice head having the correct almond shaped eyes. Nice deep muscled front, good neck with great shoulders. Nicely ribbed and good movement coming and going. Best Dog and Best Opposite of Sex. 2 nd Small Minard Darque Red for Devondax. I Loved his head with correct shaped almond eyes. Good chest, would prefer a longer neck and more ground clearance. His body was nicely balanced but today the floor was a bit slippy for him. Post Graduate Dog (0,0) No Entries Limit Dog (1,0) 1 st Poole Findowrie The Fusileer. A well marked Black and Tan boy which I loved his head. Really nice front with good shoulders. Ribbed well back and moved with drive. Open Dog (1,0) 1st Poole Findowrie Mister Mckye. Another nice dog from this exhibitor. Shaded red dog in good coat with nice head and good length of muzzle. Nice chest flowing into nicely laid back shoulders. Nice red bitch with a great head, enough chest for a youngster. Would prefer a longer neck but had good ribbing. Moved well but running a bit high on the back end at the moment. 2 nd Pretty Jaxrubydax Constellation. Black and Cream bitch. Nice little puppy that needs to mature as she is raw at this moment in time. Nice head with good front. Neck could be longer and her back end needs to strengthen. Puppy Bitch (4,0) 1 st Fairchild Restinim Miss Whiplash. Really liked this puppy having lovely tan markings. Good head with nice deep chest running into good shoulders. Correct ribbing, nice size and moved very true. Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed. 2 nd Heather Ravensbeech Florentine Whiteorchard. Different type to 1st. Good head with nice shaped eyes. Chest is good but would prefer more neck. Correct ribbing with good strong hindquarters. Junior Bitch (2,1) 1 st Gunter Darwindax Bobby Jean at Wellingtonway. Black and Tan girl with nice head and good shaped eyes. Would prefer more neck length. Tight elbows with good ribbing. Moved OK. Post Graduate Bitch (1,0) 1 st Pretty Jaaxrubydax Brighten my Day. Silver dapple girl with a feminine head and good almond shaped eyes. Lovely length of ears with a good deep chest. Good shoulders with correct ribbing. Moved well. Limit Bitch (5,2) 1 st Pain Tolberg Here’s To The Future with Ravensbeech. Lovely cream bitch from a very nice kennel. Good head with nice dark eyes, good pigment and lovely length of ears. Would prefer more length of neck. Good chest with well laid shoulders and good spring of rib. Moved well with strong hindquarters. Reserve Best Bitch. 2 nd Poole Findowrie Jessica Rose. Shade red bitch of very similar in size and shape to 1st. Nice head, good front and shoulders. Nicely ribbed and moved well. Just preferred the head of 1st . Open Bitch (3,0) 1 st Mason Crownlake’s Queen Bee JW. Lovely Black and Tan bitch with a fantastic head and eye shape. Lovely length of ears, good prominent chest with well laid shoulders. Nicely spring of rib with good length of ribbing. Well angulated and moved with drive and purpose. 2 nd Cox Cheritondax Chardonnay JW. Another nice type with good head and eye. Lovely chest but would prefer more length of neck. Good spring of rib and good length of ribbing. Nice hindquarters and moved well. Veteran Bitch (2,0) 1 st Mason Ch Tolberg Beez Kneez at Teckeltown. What a lovely bitch. Good head and eye shape with correct length of ears which were set correctly. Good deep chest and a strong front. Nice length of neck, good ribbing with well muscled hindquarters. Level topline both stacked and on the table. Moved with drive and good to see her lovely dark pads. You can see why this bitch is a champion. Best Bitch and Best of Breed. 2 nd Pain Galrhia Full Of Beans at Ravensbeech. A nice silver dapple with correct eye shape but preferred the head of 1. Sufficient chest with nice shoulders and good well sprung rib chest. Moved well.

1^st – Beagrie – Feldhund Moonlight – happy Wild Boar showing well, elegant outline on this lovely puppy, his proportions are well balanced height to length, good shoulder placement, long deep ribbing, I liked his head, eyes and ears, he was very alert and attentive to his handler, has an excellent forechest, absolutely true back and front for one so young, shows good reach and drive in profile, well presented harsh coat, liked him a lot.

1^st – Farrington – Dollydash Defender Of Faith – Wild Boar, he has a nice shape, excellent shoulder and forechest, he has a masculine head, dark expressive eyes, moving soundly.

2^nd – Russell – Collidach Russell Leeves – masculine Red boy, longer and lower than above, excellent body and muscle.

1^st – Horne – Salixian Moroccan Mint – lighter coloured Wild Boar, nice for balance, ribbing and forechest, good top and underline, true moving behind, touch narrow coming towards, happy boy.

1^st – Hutchings and Price – Collidach Percy Cute At Samlane – excellent harsh double coat on this darker coloured Wild Boar, excellent all round, he has an excellent forechest, good lay of shoulder, his ribbing is long and deep, masculine head, dark eye and his ears are well set and of a good size, good bone and feet, firm topline with a well set tail, he moved true both ways with reach and drive in profile, super presentation and showmanship.

1^st – Dickinson – Derdledash Skyfall At Dakotadax – Wild Boar, really harsh coated with undercoat, excellent outline and proportions, lovely feminine head with expressive well shaped dark eyes, nice ear set and shape, she has long ribbing and a prominent forechest, good shoulder and upper arm, good bone and feet, well muscled and angulated rear, true moving both ways and has reach and drive in profile, very promising.

2^nd – Beagrie – Feldhund Show The Way – Wild Boar, nice puppy, not really putting all in today, slightly longer than above, she stands on good feet, she has a pretty head and eye, OK front and ribbing.
