Thank you for an excellent entry. All hounds were well presented but some lacked muscle, On such a hot day they coped well, Some classes were too close.
MPD (5). 1 Barrow’s Metadale Moon Dancer from Frankenwen. BPD. Lovely p, balanced head, gentle oval eye, good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, correct ribbing, and chest clearance, kept top line on the move; 2 Liddle’s Morali Bowmore. V immature baby but has everything going for him, pleasing head and eye, good feet; 3 Bogiovanni’s Merrygarth Greve De Lecq avec Ankors.
JD (4). A strong class all with promise. 1 Swann and Robert’s Rodima Gold Knight at Swansford. Well balanced hound who moved out well showing his pads, in superb condition, well muscled, good head, correct shoulder placement, ribbing and rear; 2 Smith’s Rodima Reach For Gold. Litter brother to 1, another good mover, all as for brother; 3 Cooper and Steadman’s Darsoms Zuave at Merrygarth.
SpBeD (3). 1 R Reach For Gold; 2 Brearly and Ramsden’s Darkfell Saracen of Xanadax. Close decision between 2 and 3, 2 being slightly more mature; 3 Arnold’s Kireton Silver Shannon of Doral.
PGD (8). A very mixed class. 1 Metcalfe’s Metadale Matador. V elegant despite being a little naughty, correct size with balanced head, good shoulders and ribbing, level top line on the move with strong rear action, beautiful body; 2 Garlick’s Ranglewood Walnut. Different type to first, good rich colour; 3 Brearly and Ramsden’s Darkfell Saracen of Xanadax.
LD (13). What a class, many going card less not through lack of quality. 1 Jordan and Nightingale’s Rodima The Toff. CC and BOB. Made him up, well done, looking in superb condition today, moving so well, balanced head, lovely reach of neck into good shoulders, strong body with long ribbing and correct loin, well boned, nice tight little feet, his attitude was a delight; 2 Walkley’s Rosenket Royal York Sundown. Superb head with beautiful colouring, well angulated with strong hind action, one to watch; 3 Oxley’s Larkhund Latest Destroyer at Owlery.
OD (11). Another good class. 1 Swann and Robert’s Ch Swansford Lanador. RCC. Turned out immaculately, as were all from this kennel, head and movement impressed, shoulders, top line, ribbing and angulation gd, little to choose between CC and RCC winners; 2 McFaul’s Ch Darsoms Zwagerson. Beautiful d, well balanced and in excellent condition; 3 Atkin’s Ch Kantis Comanchee.
V (8). All enjoying their day out and showing us what it was all about. Some wanted their sausages! Show manager take note. 1 Atkin’s Ch Kantis Karamel Kreme. One I have judged before and he has lost nothing with age, a credit to his owners as was; 2 Goodman’s Brianolf Legend. So elegant and moved with drive, beautiful eye and head; 3 Cooper and Steadman’s Ollyrue Hiberi Gunner at Merrygarth.
PB (13). A class of beautiful babies. 1 Atkin’s Kantis Kreme-Georgette. BPIB and G4. Beautiful head and shoulder placement, strong level top line, good rear angulation and movement, so feminine, another one to watch; 2 Jordan and Nightingale’s Rodima Sugar Candy. Someone has to say “a sweetie” and she is, strong colour, pushed 1 hard; 3 Mitchell’s Darsoms Zerenity at Bronia.
JB (7). 1 Swann and Robert’s Rodima Gold Myst over Swansford. Litter sister to JD winner, same comments apply, construction takes preference over everything but the deep colour of these siblings must be appreciated; 2 Warkes’ Darsoms Zanastasia. Another lovely girl, so well presented and in excellent condition as her movement showed; 3 Geeson’s Abydachs Rock N Roll.
SpBeB (3). 1 Halsall’s Bronia Infanta with Rossdach. Lovely head and expression, needs to tighten overall; 2 Newport’s Merrygarth Greve D’Azette. Unplaced in p but in this class settled well and moved with drive.
PGB (12). A mixed class with the winners standing out. 1 Metcalfe’s Metadale My Way. In super condition, correct size, as are all from this kennel, balanced head, wonderful eye with expression, good shoulders, level top line, strong rear and movement; 2 Kerry’s Kireton Sylvia. V pleasing girl, not enjoying the heat, sound and will develop; 3 Perry’s Swansford Tinkadora with Fagglerock.
LB (12). Difficult class. Many in profile looked good but movement let them down. This did not apply to the placings. All could change places. 1 Jordan’s Ranglewood Veronica at Rodima. Balanced, well developed, pleasing head, good ribbing and hind angulation, handled superbly; 2 Mitchell’s Metadale Moment Of Truth at Bronia. Close between 1 and 2, she was feeling the heat, well balanced, a lovely girl with good head, shoulders and ribbing, moving out well; 3 Rawson’s Sosenket Royal York Sunrise.
OB (10). Again a super class, I wished for more cards. 1
Larkin’s Swansford Leodora to Larkhund. CC. Litter sister to RCC winner, what a
beautiful correct sized b, expertly handled, she was in full bloom, lovely head,
reach of neck going into well placed shoulders, level top line, long ribbing,
moved well, coat superb; 2 McFaul’s Ch Darsoms Zaraminta. RCC. Lovely head, in
superb condition, pressed 1 strongly; 3 Metcalfe’s Metadale Made In Heaven.
