LONGHAIRED
I took over David Oram’s entry as he was taken ill at the last minute. I hope he will be pleased withy his quality entry.
JD (6) 1 and Res CC, Mitchell’s Bronia Monte Cristo. Very elegant dog, super head and eye. OK in front, enough length of leg for ground clearance. Keeps a good topline, well set tail. Moves a touch close in rear, otherwise a sound elegant and classy dog. Half brother to the DCC and Res BCC. 2 Atkins’ Kantis King of Klubs. Slightly heavier in head than the winner but he has more width across the quarters. Good front and crook. Super body, nicely muscled. A touch lower to ground than the winner. Moves really well. His sister was Best Puppy. 3 Geeson’s Abydachs Rocks My World.
PGD (2) 1 Cooper and Steadman’s Alex’s Favourite with Merrygarth. A bit heavy in head and needs a little more angulation to shoulder and upperarm. Lovely body, bone and feet of the best. Level topline, slightly arched over loin. Powerful, impressive rear. Moves well. 2 Morrison’s Milinho Rogue McCoy. Better angulation in front but he would not go with any enthusiasm and was rather ‘ploddy’. Nicely put together, super topline. In good coat and body condition.
LD (7) 1 Cooper and Steadman’s Darsoms Zuave at Merrygarth. Scored here on a lovely lean head and strong foreface. High set ears, excellent front and forechest. Solid body and really good quarters. Would like a slightly arched loin, but he holds himself well and stands on good legs and feet. Lovely coat and pigment. 2 Oxley;s Owlery Australord. Elegant and shapely, also has a nice front. Slightly better topline than the winner but he was moving very close in rear and certainly needs more drive behind. A nice boy who whould do well when he gets more muscle tone. 3 Cook and Coulson’s Bournder Emerald Star.
OD (4) 1 and CC, Holt’s Metadale Midnight Cowboy. Lovely boy, elegant with a smashing head and eyes. Good length of neck. OK in front, correct topline and nice over croup. Powerful impressive dog to go over and he is so well muscled. It was a pleasure to watch him go. 2 Oxley’s Ir Ch Larkhund Latest Destroyer at Owlery. Also a smart boy. Much too low to the ground and needs more length of foreleg. Otherwise a smashing boy and he too is a good moving hound. 3 McFaul’s Ch Ir Ch Darsoms Zwagerson.
JB (7) 1 and Best Puppy, Atkins’ Kantis Kween of the Night. A nice class. Winner has a good outline which she keeps on the move. A super length of upperarm and prominent forechest. Pleasing head, strong neck. Well bodied and correct topline and a powerful rear. Just needs to come in a trifle more in front movement. Her stride in profile and rear are superb. 2 Mitchell’s Bronia Marionette. Elegant, shapely with good front and rear movement. Elbows not quite so tight and her feet are not as bunched up as the winner’s. She too can move so well and holds a lovely outline.
PGB (4) 1 Res CC, Thompson’s Metadale Memories of You at Oleanca. Really smart B/T. Super head with chiselling under the eyes, good neck and true front. Excellent body and powerful rear. Nice over croup and a well carried tail. In lovely coat and condition - a really top class girl. Full sister to the DCC. 2 Warke’s Glasvey Bobby’s Girl. Smart, sound and also a lovely bitch. Shoulders set a little more steeply and needs a touch more length of upperarm. Perfect body and a lovely rear. Well muscled and handled. 3 Plevin’s Morali Caol Ila.
LB (5) 1 Atkins’ Larkhund Quietly Kreme at Kantis. Big enough for a bitch but everything about her is Dachshund - just in a big package. Lovely head, super neck and front. Correct ground clearance, excellent topline and powerful rear. Moved extremely well all round. 2 Hayes’ Rodima Dark Crystal Mit Dialhouse. Much lower to the ground. Also sound, nicely handled and a lovely temperament. Pleasing head and body, just needs longer legs! 3 Mitchell’s Dacquoise Double Charm.
OB (5) 1 CC and Best of Breed, Mitchell’s Ch Darsoms Zophisticate of Bronia. A lovely class. Winner elegant, sound and true moving with a lovely head, good tapering foreface and super eyes and expression. Good front and angulation both ends. Well bodied and in lovely coat. Really is a quality bitch. 2 Atkins Ch Kantis Koko-Chanel. Beautiful eyes and expression. OK in front and perfect front movement. A touch fat in body and has lost her waistline a little (like me!). Good powerful and well muscled rear. 3 Warke’s Ir Ch Glasvey Miranda.
