LONGHAIRED

Good to see such lovely dogs well presented, all with correct mouths and bite and mostly with clean teeth.

PD. (2). 1. Halsall’s, Brynalayn Noble Quest for Kiddles. A 6 and a half year old puppy still in his baby coat. Pleasing head and eye. Good proportions and gave a balanced picture. Tended to stand cow hocked but this should improve with maturity. Correct front and shoulder placement. Good bone throughout and well placed forelegs on nice tight feet. Good depth of keel and stood level. Moved out well with correct parallel hind action. A promising baby. 2. Jordan and Nightingale’s, Swanford Gryffyndor at Rodina. 6 and a half months old puppy who was well presented but lacked the elegance and maturity of winner. Movement was a little erretic and he was giving his handler a hard time.

JD. (2). 1. Cooper and Steadman’s, Blue Velvet by Merrygarth. 15 and a half months old b/t dog with lovely coat and feathering. Lovely head and dark eye. Good depth of keel and reach of neck. Adequate front angulation and good length of ribbing giving an overall nicely balanced dog with a level topline, which he kept on the move. Moved with drive and showing his pads when striding out. RBD.

PGD. (3). 1. Champson’s, Melminds Master Copy. Well presented but with a tad too much coat. Nice masculine head, correct eye. Nice reach of neck but shoulder placement slightly upright. Adequate length. Moved well with level topline and nice parallel hind action. 2. Dimon’s, Africandawns Night Slipper. Red boy who lacked the angulation, elegance and drive of winner, but nevertheless was well presented but beaten by the competition on the day.

OD. (4). 1. Mitchell’s, Ch. Bronia Monte Christo. What a picture. Eye catching red. Perfect coat that shone from top to toe. Feathering just right which gave an elegant and stunning picture particularly on the move. Well proportioned and good bone throughout. Lovely head, dark correct eye leading to a good reach of neck into well angled and correctly placed shoulders. Good depth of ribbing. Graceful sweep of underline. Nice round rump and well angled rear quarters. He moved with drive and purpose. A joy to watch. BD and BOB and went on to take G4. 2. Cooper and Steadman’s, Darsoms Zuave at Merrygarth. Lovely coated elegant red dog but not quite the presence of winner. Well presented, good bone throughout. Good head and reach of neck. Well rounded quarters and correct hind angulation. Movement was good but not the drive of winner. 3. Wedge’s, Dolan no Matter What.

PB. (1). 1. Mitchell’s, Bronia Carmelita. 8 and a half months old red girl in her puppy coat. Elegant feminine head and nice dark correct eye. Prominent pro-sternum and good depth of keel. Nicely domed front and well padded tight feet. Good reach of neck leading into well placed shoulder. Stood level and gave a balanced picture. Well rounded rump. Nicely angled hocks. Tending to stand a little cowhocked, but this will probably improve with maturity. Moved with drive keeping a good outline and well controlled for a youngster. A promising future. BP and RBB.

PGB. (2). 1. Dimon’s, Laraine Hi Ya Lass. Pretty head and eye. Light boned throughout and a bit narrow in front. The heat got her on the move which tended to be reluctant and erratic.

OB. (2). 1. Robert’s, Ch. Swansford Vivadora. A well balanced and elegant bitch with silky and correct coat. Lovely feminine head held proudly on good reach of neck. Excellent front and feet. Good depth and sweep of keel. Well placed shoulders. Good length and spring of ribbing. Level topline leading into well rounded rump and angulated quarters. Moved like a train with drive and purpose. BB. Fought hard in the challenge for BOB but preferred the dog on the day. 2. Halsall’s, Distinctive Dream for Kiddles. Not the quality of winner and movement was disapponting, lacking extension in the rear.
